RACE ONE

In a race where a few of these are doing a recon mission for the 3YO features next week, Derby aspirant QUEENSLANDER (7) will be hoping he can get to the lane with momentum. Charging home last start to claim victory at HQ from three poles, he will be stalking and waiting for the gap.

ROCKOKOKO (5) tackled the NSW Derby back in March and was a winner at his next two starts after that series. Beaten a half-head two starts back after a tough trip when parked, he went under deep into the red last start but had excuses. In his first look at The Triangle, he can throw it down.

MISS BAY KING COLE (1) was given the stink eye last week over the AP mile and was forced to set a solid tempo to protect the front. Only collared in the last strides, she has the options here to feature.

ALTA MAGACIAN (8) faced a second line gate last start over the AP mile and from deep field made some good closing metres, ultimately finishing out of the money. He looks a podium chance here.

SELECTIONS: QUEENSLANDER (7), ROCKOKOKO (5), MISS BAY KING COLE (1), ALTA MAGACIAN (8)
SUGGESTED BET: QUEENSLANDER (7) to win

RACE TWO

In some of the best form of his career, ITS MR CLOONEY (8) has a pair of Saturday night victories in his past three starts, the latest from back in the pack in a strong close out. Normally safe off the tapes, his record here shows 7: 1-3-2 and the outside lane should help at the start.

MISTY CREEK (2) is stepping up in grade but brings some big assets to the checklist in his favour. Safe off the tapes-tick-he was a last start Marburg winner off 30m breaking the track record. Strong Redcliffe record- tick-, he is a 13-time winner on this deck, and he draws close to the poles. He can throw it down.

MACH SHARD (9) returns for another Winter and competed here last year in the Redcliffe Cup when just 3m from the winner. A wide gate dented his hopes last start at Menangle and he looms large.

LOYALIST (10) will be first up since a trip to Perth to contest the Nullarbor where he was 12m from the winner. This will be his first stand start in Aus, but he has extensive experience in NZ. Joining the Grimson stable, he cannot be ignored.

SELECTIONS: ITS MR CLOONEY (8), MISTY CREEK (2), MACH SHARD (9), LOYALIST (10)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

The Showcase Consolation sees OUR MAJOR DAY (11) off a big 40m impost over the short course. He has placed the past two years in the main Final of this series from 40 and 30 and comes into this in much stronger form than those years. If he can getaway cleanly, he is going well enough to score.

ROCKNROLL DA GAMA (9) faced a wide gate last start over the AP mile and was snagged back to last to then go luck hunting up the inside. Chiming in for the bronze, he has plenty of experience here at Redcliffe and with good manners from the tapes, can look to issue the challenge off the 10.
PARTY CHANGER (1) claimed wins at the Marburg and Kingaroy Shows to earn the start here and followed those efforts from second line mobile draws his past two. Off the front, he will give plenty.
MY ULTIMATE HESTON (5) chased home behind MISTY CREEK last start in a track record over the 2200 on the Little M. A seven-time winner on this deck, settling handy can see him in the mix.

SELECTIONS: OUR MAJOR DAY (11), ROCKNROLL DA GAMA (9), PARTY CHANGER (1), MY ULTIMATE HESTON (5)
SUGGESTED BET: OUR MAJOR DAY (11) to win

RACE FOUR

The first of the 2YO Sales Series heats where TAKE A CHANCE (7) will have early options as the lone runner off the second line. Breaking through for his first victory last start against older performers, he was building to that win after three successive placings. With further progression, he can take this.

GLENEAGLE VEE CEE (5) secured the ideal trip in behind the leader last start and when angled into open space was able to descend on them to claim a 3m margin. Forced to sit parked the start prior against older performers, he looks the main danger to the favourite.

PRECOCIOUS KATE (1) has steadily been improving at each outing and last start held on for the bronze after leading them up from this same gate. A similar run can see her through to the Final.

NAUTIE GALVINATOR (6) is afforded no favours from the outside paint but has race experience to call on that a few of his rivals do not have yet. Snagged back last start, the smaller field helps.

SELECTIONS: TAKE A CHANCE (7), GLENEAGLE VEE CEE (5), PRECOCIOUS KATE (1), NAUTIE GALVINATOR (6)
SUGGESTED BET: TAKE A CHANCE (7) to win

RACE FIVE

This is the best line up ever assembled for this race, with the barrier draw opening it up even further with LEAP TO FAME (8) set to start from inside the second line if the emergency is not required. That makes it a much tougher ask at his first Redcliffe appearance, yet he still has the class to restrain and circle them. Each return run this season have been super and he is up to the task.

FUTURE ASSURED (4) has been super in two runs back from a spell, carving out a big mile first up from gate 4 when taking control and then sitting parked from gate 7 second up, again breaking 1.52. This will be his first look at Redcliffe which is a partial concern, but he looks ready for the next step.

SPEAK THE TRUTH (9) is a perfect two from two on this deck and comes into this after a fighting 3rd last start. Asked to sit parked outside LEAP TO FAME at 2138, he was brave. Following through early, he is in the fight.

BETTERZIPPIT (11) will have Brendan Barnes engaged for his first Qld assignment and has been given no favours from outside the second line. Claiming the Nullarbor Slot Race two starts back, the tempo was against him when resuming at Menangle. This is a deep race with plenty of place prospects.

SELECTIONS: LEAP TO FAME (8), FUTURE ASSURED (4), SPEAK THE TRUTH (9), BETTERZIPPIT (11)
SUGGESTED BET: LEAP TO FAME (8) to win

RACE SIX

This race is dominated by the Weidemann and Gordon stables, where the handicaps and best of the Ricky Gordon team looks to be JILLIBY GIZMO (4). Just a head from the winner under mobile conditions two starts back, he has wins at the Nanango and Gympie Shows and can press forward to capitalise.

KID MONTANA (11) is the class runner of the field and Lola Weidemann’s main hope but will need to be at his peak to overcome the 40m at the sprint trip. Chasing home in Saturday night company last start when not too far from ITS MR CLOONEY, he was 3rd to SCARLET BABE two runs back. He just needs no bad luck or loss of momentum.

KEYANG TARA (8) was trying to see it out in front last start at Marburg after stepping safely from the front tape. Setting the tempo that led to a new track record for MISTY CREEK, she was only collared in the last strides and can feature again.

DELIGHTFUL RAINBOW (10) was sent out fav last start over the mobile 1850 at Marburg when holding 3rd behind MIKI MAGIC. Hitting the line soundly two back behind SAN MAREA, she is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: JILLIBY GIZMO (4), KID MONTANA (11), KEYANG TARA (8), DELIGHTFUL RAINBOW (10)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

The bubble may not have burst last start with TARDELLI (8), but it certainly is a little thinner after his first up defeat. Starting deep into the red at his first run in 12-months, he had no answer for HOLD ONTO YA BLIUNG who had the cold sit and went straight past. Prepared to forgive the effort, which was his first run beyond the sprint trip, he can go from the hunted to the hunter.

FOR REAL LIFE (2) was the most impressive of the two heats, doing it all on his own out in front after taking control with ease. After a steady opening three panels, he was given his head from the 400 and he exploded away, carving out possibly the fastest ever last 400 ever here at Redcliffe with a 26.7 closing blitz. He will have the target.

HOLD ONTO YA BLING (3) was first to the poles in the heat and then camped on the back of TARDELLI went straight past him in the stretch and posted an 8m margin. Early mapping looks the key to his chances of the repeat victory.

REGAZZO DI TILLY (5) looks best placed of the other runners to fill a minor and stop a replication of the same first three runners across the line as the 2YO edition of this Series. Charging home to score over the AP mile two runs back, he has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: TARDELLI (8), FOR REAL LIFE (2), HOLD ONTO YA BLING (3), REGAZZO DI TILLY (5)
SUGGESTED BET: TARDELLI (8) to win

RACE EIGHT

Sent forward from gate 6 under the mobile conditions at 2138m last start, ADELLE (13) sat parked and was game in defeat where SUGARINSPICE led and ran home a slick last 800 in front. A winner at the mobile mile the start prior, her stand form is limited but with time to balance, she can arrive.

DEFENSIVE GUY (1) ins some ways might just hold the keys to the contest here off the inside. With the manners to step and burrow through to protect the inside, he can dictate if or who the baton is passed on to take it up. Second up off an 18-month break and scoring last start, he can challenge.

HAMMERS LAW (8) makes the long trip up from Victoria and arrives with a last start Melton 3rd from off the second line at the mobile 2240. A narrow winner three starts back in completing a hat-trick, he has plenty of experience to offer.

CALL ME TORUBLE (12) has the 20m to negotiate in the capacity field which is of some concern, yet with many in this field seeing The Triangle for the first time, he can boast a 2nd at his only look here off a 40m back mark.

SELECTIONS: ADELLE (13), DEFENSIVE GUY (1), HAMMERS LAW (8), CALL ME TORUBLE (12)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE NINE

The second of the three 2YO heats and BETTOR CULLECT (4) looks a strong hope of taking this Series. If she can get through this heat where she does look to have the edge, she will be well placed for the sweep. Runner-up in the Breeders Classic behind the smart EVER ART, she won here on debut and looks the one.

REASON TO SHINE (3) has placed at both her career starts to date, finding the pocket trail on both occasions. Taking a shot up the passing lane last start when 5m in arrears of GO COLOUR MY WORLD, she chased the smart GOLDEN FIRE on debut.

SCORES (5) started from inside the second line last time out and while likely not a winning hope, could have been closer than the 22m 3rd if sighting a gap sooner. He has podium claims again.

SAMANTHA CEE (2) may have been closer than the 6m margin last time out behind TEGAN LEE if the gap arrived sooner. Early mapping will be key to where she can finish.

SELECTIONS: BETTOR CULLECT (4), REASON TO SHINE (3), SCORES (5), SAMANTHA CEE (2)
SUGGESTED BET: BETTOR CULLECT (4) to win

RACE TEN

With plenty of race experience on his side, ELLIS STREET (5) can look to overcome the wide gate again here. Taking on older performers last start over the AP mile, he was able to take a 1.55.7-mile victory from the 1x1 trail. He can roll the sleeves to get the job done here.

TEGAN LEE (2) burrowed through to hold them wide last start and from the front was able to rate the pace to claim a 2m margin. A winner on debut when seeing it out from the front, she can have an early dip or look to gain running line cover to issue her challenge.

LORD MEMNOCK (7) has been runner-up in both career starts, beaten in red figures on debut when 3m from GLENEAGLE VEE CEE and then 2m from TEGAN LEE after facing a second line gate second up. He has the options here.

GUTSY GIRL (1) takes her first look at this track but should appreciate the improved gate after facing a wide and second line gate in her two appearances. She can burrow through to feature.

SELECTIONS: ELLIS STREET (5), TEGAN LEE (2), LORD MEMNOCK (7), GUTSY GIRL (1)
SUGGESTED BET: ELLIS STREET (5) to win
