RACE ONE
Coming up with another awkward gate, the tempo looks strong here which can help the chances of HAVEYOUCHECKEDIN (6) capitalising for a win this Qld campaign. Midfield in the Triad Final behind FOR REAL LIFE last start, he was not suited here two back when parked. This looks within reach. MORESCO (1) set the speed last start when sent across from gate 3, with the lamp lighting duties coming at the expense of a 26.8 opening panel. With a 55.1 opening half, she was out of bullets turning for home. Runner-up to TORQUE LIKE MOTION two back, she will be gripping on. MY ULTIMATE LEVI (3) was runner-up last start at Redcliffe when sitting parked over the 2040, as ESCOBAR saluted. Beaten a similar margin behind that same winner two back, he is in this. BURNS BAY (2) tackled a qualifier over the 2138 last start when settled in the 1x1. With the race developing into a last panel blitz, he kept chasing as JAMES CAGNEY arrived. He can feature here. SELECTIONS: HAVEYOUCHECKEDIN (6), MORESCO (1), MY ULTIMATE LEVI (3), BURNS BAY (2) SUGGESTED BET: HAVEYOUCHECKEDIN (6) to win
RACE TWO Early mapping looks a tough read here whereby virtue of the ace, ROCKNROLL DA GAMA (1) should have the early hustle to dictate where he positions. Beaten by wide gates at Redcliffe at his past two starts, he grabbed the bronze here behind ARKIN WICKED three back. Can he break his AP duck? LULU MAE (9) covered some extra ground last start when kept three wide the last lap, fading in the closing stages as subsequent winner KALYPSO SAM took the prize. Collared in the last stride when setting the speed here two back as QUIK CHANGE arrived, she can be in position to descend. KEAYANG TARA (2) was snookered three back on the inside from gate 1 last time out and was closing hard along the passing lane when finishing a neck from QUIK CHANGE. She can chime in here. ODINS BLACK CROWS (8) made his way to the Triad Final after holding on for 4th in the heat behind HOLD ONTO YA BLING. They were a bit too classy in the final, but a soft trip here helps his chances. SELECTIONS: ROCKNROLL DA GAMA (1), LULU MAE (9), KEAYANG TARA (2), ODINS BLACK CROWS (8) SUGGESTED BET:
RACE THREE Featuring in a stable switch since his last appearance back in June, STANDANDELIVER (6) comes into this fresh without a public trial for Steve Cini. Buried last start when just 6m from AMAMI, he faces a tricky gate first up but strikes the right opposition to stake a claim. MISSTREPO (4) tackled an easier contest at Redcliffe on Monday night where she was able to claim a strong win despite racing against her pattern when sitting parked. Strong to the line on The Triangle the start prior, tempo will aid her chances of issuing the closing challenge. SHADYS CULLECT (8) found the pocket trail in the 4YO Mare’s Triad last time out, holding on for a midfield finish behind RACY ROXY. An all the way winner at Redcliffe two back, she can feature. GELDOF (5) rolled forward to sit parked over the middle trip here on Tuesday and was game when fading in the closing stages behind LAURIE DEE. Back to the mile, he can throw heat once again. SELECTIONS: STANDANDELIVER (6), MISSTREPO (4), SHADYS CULLECT (8), GELDOF (5) SUGGESTED BET: STANDANDELIVER (6) to win
RACE FOUR
Some serious speed gate speed lines up in this contest which should see the heat dialled up off the arm in search of position. HY VOLTAGE (6) eased here last Friday and came with one run to arrive on the wire. Backing that up on Tues when sitting parked and beaten a neck, he might be able to nab them late. ELOUISA DALE (2) is in super touch and completed a hat-trick of victories last start when holding them wide from gate 2 and taking them all the way in a mare’s event with a 1.54.3 mile. Starting the hat-trick with a win from the second line, she can get across and look to fight the off. TALENT TO SPARE (3) was in gate 5 and could not get across ELOUISA DALE three runs back, fighting hard from the breeze to hold 3rd. Claiming a career PB last start from the front, she is in the fight. AMERICAN OUTLAW (4) eased into the 1x1 trail here last start when finishing 7m from HY VOLTAGE. Down the line behind TIMS A TROOPER the start prior, the small field should suit. SELECTIONS: HY VOLTAGE (6), ELOUISA DALE (2), TALENT TO SPARE (3), AMERICAN OUTLAW (4) SUGGESTED BET: HY VOLTAGE (6) to win
RACE FIVE A mixed line up for this one-win pace with a few 2YO’s taking on some older performers. GEM PUNTER PETE (3) eased from gate 5 in the Triad Final last start and copped the backwash of a scrimmage on the home turn to end his chances. Beaten a pimple behind COSMIC FLYER in the heat, he has been consistent all season and can capitalise here. ROCKON ROCKY (8) had his chances dashed in the Triad Final when landing gate 6. Taken back early, he was then caught on the home turn when the field was disrupted, rallying late to be midfield behind QUIK CHANGE. Beaten a neck in the heat behind ATTACHMENT, he will be probing here. ROLL WITH SAM (6) was a debut winner in June of 2022 in a smart performance. Returning last start when making an early error to cop the ODM embargo, he can look for a more polished display here. MISTIQUE (7) can do plenty wrong, evidenced by the fact he has been out of the draw his entire 22 start career. With his recent form on The Triangle, he can get forward here to hunt for the podium. SELECTIONS: GEM PUNTER PETE (3), ROCKON ROCKY (8), ROLL WITH SAM (6), MISTIQUE (7) SUGGESTED BET: GEM PUNTER PETE (3) to win
RACE SIX MULLUM BOY (3) was faced with the outside second line last start when angled to the inside for some shot cuts, chasing late to be 9m form the winner BORSELLINO. Asked to hang tough when parked outside the dictating winner MIDNIGHT SOMEWHERE two starts back, he can fire the early bullets to capitalise. PEPPA BLISS (1) started from inside the second line here last time out and with the perfect trip behind the leader, darted through along the passing lane to score. Beaten by gate 7 at her previous two starts, she maps for another ideal trip behind the speed, and she can strike in the stretch. ARTS PEREGRINE (2) was trying to work home wide off the track last start when down the line behind NOT THE KINGSWOOD. Making late metres from deep field the start prior, he can chime in. ARTISTIC SAINT (7) is given no favours for the wide gate here but will appreciate a return to this grade after tackling a qualifier last start when not too far from the winner JAMES CAGNEY. SELECTIONS: MULLUM BOY (3), PEPPA BLISS (1), ARTS PEREGRINE (2), ARTISTIC SAINT (7) SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-3-7
RACE SEVEN With plenty of work still to do when three back on the inside as they swung for home in the Triad Final, DEXTROUS DEXTER (4) took his shot when the gap opened and darted through to claim the victory, his fourth in succession. With a good mobile record, he can look to chalk up another win. NOT AS PROMISED (3) is first up in Qld for Graham Dwyer and steps out with the impressive record where he has been in the money in all six career starts. Last seen back in April at Ballarat when runner-up over the mobile 2200, he has had two local trials and strikes the right line up fresh. WHIRLWIND WILBUR (2) made an error from the tapes at his local debut and finished a distanced last. Back behind the start car at his past two, he has been runner-up in each and can settle close enough to be in the mix. SELECTIONS: DEXTROUS DEXTER (4), NOT AS PROMISED (3), WHIRLWIND WILBUR (2) SUGGESTED BET: DEXTROUS DEXTER (4) to win
RACE EIGHT Off the back of a luckless first up effort in Qld, CRIME TIME (7) was able to overcome the second line and justify the red figure quote to claim a 4m margin last time out. Settled in the running line form two off the second line, he had the closing speed to arrive. Despite the gate he can claim the repeat. HOIHO (10) was first up in Qld on Monday night for Jonah Hutchinson when settled in the 1x1 trail. Making his move, he pulled away from them to put them to the sword and take a 35m margin with a tidy last half. Despite the gate, he finds conditions to throw down the challenge. HESLUVABLE (3) angled to the markers from the second line at Redcliffe last start and was just in behind the placings. Collared in front over the 2138 four runs back, he can get forward to feature. WILLIEWA LIGHTNING (6) faced the second line last start where he settled in the running line and tried to make late ground when midfield to CRIME TIME. He can get forward to feature here. SELECTIONS: CRIME TIME (7), HOIHO (10), HESLUVABLE (3), WILLIEWA LIGHTNING (6) SUGGESTED BET: CRIME TIME (7) to win
