RACE ONE

Runner-up at Redcliffe two starts back when sent forward in the early stages to find position, DELIGHTFUL RAINBOW (1) dropped into the trail and then chased hard when 6m from VERMONT. Tackling a much stronger mare’s contest last start, she has the options from this gate to cash in.

FLY CHEVAL (3) has two wins in her past three starts, the latest when finding the 1x1 trail from outside the second line and steaming home over the top to claim a 3m margin. Taking them all the way at Marburg three starts back, she can find a hand position from this alley to issue the challenge.

BLUE BLOODZ (9) settled in the running line from outside the second line here two starts back and saved for one run, had the closing speed to arrive. Not suited at the 2138 last start, he can chime in.

SHEZA CRACKER (4) backs up from Friday night where she was also drawn to use her early speed. Her two runs prior were in Saturday mare’s qualifiers and in this grade, she looks well placed.

SELECTIONS: DELIGHTFUL RAINBOW (1), FLY CHEVAL (3), BLUE BLOODZ (9), SHEZA CRACKER (4)
SUGGESTED BET: DELIGHTFUL RAINBOW (1) to win

RACE TWO

Asked to hang tough outside the leader last start, CATSEYE BEACH (2) was dead game as HANDS ON took them al the way in a slick 1.52.1 mile. Holding on for the silver when 6m away, a wide gate hampered his chances two starts back. He snares the alley here to capitalise.

APOLLO DREAMZ (3) had an early look for the front last start and with no lead was able to ease for 1x1 cover. Fighting on to finish 5m astern of the winner LANAI and hold 3rd, it followed a similar margin when out of the money behind ARODA. Positioning cheaply will be key to his challenge.

BRONSKI DELIGHT (1) started from inside the second line last start and watched the speed unfold before angling into clear air and powering over the top in the closing stages to score. With the gate to tuck in behind, she might just rinse and repeat.

SO MUCH MORE (9) has bene struggling to show his best since returning from a Sydney campaign, getting back in his races not helping his chances. A small field and settling closer is a bonus here.

SELECTIONS: CATSEYE BEACH (2), APOLLO DREAMZ (3), BRONSKI DELIGHT (1), SO MUCH MORE (9)
SUGGESTED BET: CATSEYE BEACH (2) to win

RACE THREE

On the back-up from Saturday night when taking on a qualifier from a tough gate, GOLDEN BAY (1) should appreciate the improved gate back into this grade. Taking control and seeing them off from this alley two starts back, he can burrow through and look to take them all the way.

HIGHVIEW SADLER (2) started from inside the second line last start and buried in the run was waiting for the gap to arrive over the 2138 trip. Angled to the passing lane, he charged hard once the hole appeared to grab victory. Settling handy from this alley, he can continue his consistent run.

YANKEE C J (3) was working home wide off the track last start when grabbing the bronze behind HIGHVIEW SADLER as the widest runner. He can be thereabouts again here.

ITS BACK PAGE NEWS (4) sat in the trail and held on for the bronze two starts back behind GOLDEN BAY. Chasing behind BRONSKI DELIGHT the start prior, she can be close enough to chime in.

SELECTIONS: GOLD GOLDEN BAY (1), EN BAY (1), HIGHVIEW SADLER (2), YANKEE C J (3), ITS BACK PAGE NEWS (4)
SUGGESTED BET: GOLDEN BAY (1) to win

RACE FOUR

Tackling the older horses from the good gate, CONVINCED (2) looks to find the right set up to chase down a second victory, despite the experience he gives away to these rivals. A dictating winner to break maiden ranks against his own age two starts back, he can get to the front here and try to stave off the challengers.

ROCKNROLL DA GAMA (6) looked a place chance on Friday from a tough gate and lands another stiff gate here. Grabbing 3rd in an AYDC heat two starts back after needing a gap sooner than it arrived, he can slide into position here and be looking to mount a closing challenge.

JANG PEL (9) had the outside second line to contend with on Friday night and he lands the widest on the second line again here. Placed in both prior runs, the right early trail can see him feature.

CIRCLE LINE (5) was a Marburg winner two starts back when working home wide off the track and hitting the line in nice order. Unable to warm up last start, he is a podium chance in this.

SELECTIONS: CONVINCED (2), ROCKNROLL DA GAMA (6), JANG PEL (9), CIRCLE LINE (5)
SUGGESTED BET: CONVINCED (2) to win

RACE FIVE

CRIME TIME (4) was left exposed outside the leader from two the second line last start and was fighting hard to the wire when holding on for the silver behind FLY CHEVAL. Luckless the start prior from inside the second line, positioning cheaply will be the key to his chances.

HESLUVABLE (2) had the benefit of gate 1 on Friday night where he looked a solid winning hope and looks to have snared the right gate again and could possibly be chasing successive victories. Making late metres at Marburg three ruins back for the silver, he gets a chance to settle handy to challenge.

WESTERN ACTION (5) started from inside the second line last start and did not have the smoothest passage when midfield behind FLY CHEVAL. Close up the start prior, he can flash some early speed.

CHARLEVOIX (6) started from the second line at Redcliffe last time out and was using the passing lane when grabbing the silver. The gate stings but, he can chase another podium.

SELECTIONS: CRIME TIME (4), HESLUVABLE (2), WESTERN ACTION (5), CHARLEVOIX (6)
SUGGESTED BET: CRIME TIME (4) to win

RACE SIX

Runner-up in three successive outings, SISTER KATIE (2) looked to have secured the opportunity to break maiden ranks last start but through it away when making an error. Normally a safe and clean trotter, she gets back to the 1628 this time and can look to open her account.

MIRA SATURN (4) was back to her bridesmaid ways last start when finishing runner-up to TARENTAISE after settling in the trail. Finally snaring a breakthrough the start prior, she has the manners to be close to the action and issue the challenge.

TARENTAISE (3) took advantage of the situation when finding the front here last week and once allowed to do his thing in front, was able to fight them off and pull away to score. Winning confidence can help.

SELECTIONS: SISTER KATIE (2), MIRA SATURN (4), TARENTAISE (3)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

A Trent Moffat debutante by Ohoka Punter in the form of PUNTERS JEWEL (4) was an eye catcher when qualifying in a recent trial. Finding the front, he set a solid clip and was only collared late by a two-time winning 4YO. Building off that, he might just have found the right race first up.

HAY BALE HUSTLER (1) settled back in the pack before hitting the line in smart fashion last start when runner-up to the impressive HOT ROD HARRY. She returns to the main draw after being on the ODM embargo and with the soft trip in behind the action can issue a challenge.

POWERMOVE (8) is a Rock N Roll Heaven filly on debut for Mark Dux out of the former handy mare Covert Beauty. With the options from the second line, she trialled soundly and has claims.

SKYRO DREAMZ (7) got it all wrong on debut as a short-priced fav and then second up eased from the wide gate and had the task ahead as HOT ROD HARRY carved it out in front. He can be sharper.

SELECTIONS: PUNTERS JEWEL (4), HAY BALE HUSTLER (1), POWERMOVE (8), SKYRO DREAMZ (7)
SUGGESTED BET: PUNTERS JEWEL (4) to win
