RACE ONE MIRA SATURN (6) was back to her bridesmaid ways last start when finishing runner-up to TARENTAISE after settling in the trail. Finally snaring a breakthrough, the start prior, she has the manners to be close to the action and capitalise off equal terms. SISTER KATIE (3) looked to have secured the opportunity to break maiden ranks last start but threw it away when making an error. Normally a safe and clean trotter, she meets winners on equal marks under these conditions, but can be handy enough to challenge. DEAD SET CRAZY (5) can do plenty wrong and was banished to the trials last start following an error. Earning the return, if he can trot cleanly, he has podium claims. TARENTAISE (7) took advantage of the situation when finding the front last week and once allowed to do his thing in front, was able to fight them off and pull away to score. Winning confidence helps. SELECTIONS: MIRA SATURN (6), SISTER KATIE (3), DEAD SET CRAZY (5), TARENTAISE (7) SUGGESTED BET: MIRA SATURN (6) to win
RACE TWO
A number of runners in this are on a short back-up chasing the last opportunity of the season to grab a QBRED Bonus. TIPPIN IT (1) fits that category on the one-day back-up from Redcliffe where she looked a chance. Asked to sit parked when 3rd two starts back, the gate aids her chances. SCORES (6) backs up from Wed night at Redcliffe where he rolled forward to sit parked from gate 5 and fought hard to hold on for the bronze behind TAMRAH. Running into the smart looking HOT ROD HARRY two starts back when unable to get into the contest, he can challenge. DENIS THE PUNTER (7) speared across from gate 6 to lead last start but could not go with them when HOT ROD HARRY revved up, fading to finish midfield. He can chase a minor here. ANYTHINGFORADOLLAR (5) is a For A Reason filly on debut for Ryan Veivers that is a half to five individual winners. With a tidy trial effort, she stays under watch first up. SELECTIONS: TIPPIN IT (1), SCORES (6), DENIS THE PUNTER (7), ANYTHINGFORADOLLAR (5) SUGGESTED BET:
RACE THREE
Locked away through the middle stages last start, ITSALLANDOVER (9) had the closing speed to descend on them once angled into open space, claiming a 1m victory in a steadily run affair. A beaten fav from 20m the start prior when 3rd, he can follow through early to capitalise. HIDE AND SEEK (10) was huge in defeat last start after throwing his chances away before rattling home in the closing stages to be just 5m from the winner EVERYSECONDCOUNTS. His individual sectionals out of that performance were enormous and a return to mobile conditions is a huge plus. IGNITE (5) should appreciate the mobile conditions here, after coming from big handicaps in recent starts. Giving ITSALLANDOVER 10m last start, he can be joining in. JUST CALL ME MOLLY (3) is generally a good beginner and from this gate can look to fire across early. Securing a handy spot can see her in the mix. SELECTIONS: ITSALLANDOVER (9), HIDE AND SEEK (10), IGNITE (5), JUST CALL ME MOLLY (3) SUGGESTED BET: ITSALLANDOVER (9) to win
RACE FOUR
Resuming from a spell last start when sent to the post as fav, MARTY THE MARTIAN (6) was forced to sit parked and tried to control the tempo from the chair. With the race developing into a last panel blitz, he held on for the bronze when under 2m from the winner. He can go one better. HESLUVABLE (1) made the most of conditions last start when burrowing through to hold the front from this same gate and in control was able to pull clear to a 6m margin. A beaten fav at Redcliffe the start prior from a second line gate, he has the alley to throw down the challenge. ROCKNROLL DA GAMA (8) started from outside the second line last start and with the right trip was able to power over the top to claim a 2m margin. Tucked way here, he will be awaiting the gap. ENGLISH DANCE (9) was darting up the passing lane last start when finishing 3m from the winner LA SABINA. With the right trail, he will not be too far away again here. SELECTIONS: MARTY THE MARTIAN (6), HESLUVABLE (1), ROCKNROLL DA GAMA (8), ENGLISH DANCE (9) SUGGESTED BET: MARTY THE MARTIAN (6) to win
RACE FIVE
RANCHO MAN (9) was trying to make a passing lane raid last start when 4m from the winner ROCKNROLL DA GAMA. Covering too much track the start prior at Redcliffe, he can look for the right trail in the early stages to capitalise in the closing stages. BUKTHSYSTEM (3) found the winner too slippery last start and could not go with them over the closing stages. Fading after a tough run when parked two starts back over the Redcliffe 2040, he might just find the poles here and in front could issue a challenge. TAPTHEKEG (8) was sent forward from outside the front-line last start and sitting parked was game in defeat when holding on for the silver behind the dictating HESLUVABLE. Placed in his previous three in succession which had followed a Redcliffe victory, he will be probing to challenge. JANG PEL (5) was beaten by the outside second line alley last start when chasing home behind HESLUVABLE. Placed in both prior starts, he can get handy to the action to feature. SELECTIONS: RANCHO MAN (9), BUKTHSYSTEM (3), TAPTHEKEG (8), JANG PEL (5) SUGGESTED BET: RANCHO MAN (9) to win
RACE SIX
Tightened from his first up victory, RISE ABOVE ALL (7) is afforded no favours from the wide gate as he looks to repeat the performance. Finding the front when resuming after a 20 month break here last week, he was able to control the tempo to claim a narrow victory. He can defy the gate. SHESAPOCKETROCKET (3) was a winner here five runs back when settled in the running line and then powering home over the top to score. Just an eyelash short of making it successive victories, she can be close to the action to issue the challenge here. SWEETNSPICY (9) sat parked at Redcliffe two starts back and fought them off to break maiden ranks. Game in defeat when parked outside RISE ABOVE ALL and beaten a nostril, she can feature again. MY GIRL MANDY (1) faced a second line gate last start when trying to make a late raid and finishing midfield. Just a head away the start prior at Redcliffe, she has all the options here to feature. SELECTIONS: RISE ABOVE ALL (7), SHESAPOCKETROCKET (3), SWEETNSPICY (9), MY GIRL MANDY (1) SUGGESTED BET:
RACE SEVEN
Making the most of the opportunity last start when sent to the front, INCOGNITO (3) was able to fight off the challengers to claim an 8m margin in good time. Not that far from the winner in the Inter Regional Final the start prior from a wide gate, he can fire out here and look to dictate. PUSHINIT UPHILL (9) was a winner two starts back when securing the pocket trail and finishing best in the stretch. Banished to the trials at his next start, he has been freshened and earned the race return when not asked off much in a recent trial. The trail draw suits fresh. LULU MAE (2) rolled forward from gate 5 last start and forced to sit parked was game in defeat when 1m from the winner SHEZA CRACKER. From this gate, she is right in the fight. MISS BAY KING COLE (6) resumes from a spell after her last appearance back in August when a wide second line gate stung her chances in the QBRED Fillies Final. Despite a tricky gate, she is in the mix. SELECTIONS: INCOGNITO (3), PUSHINIT UPHILL (9), LULU MAE (2), MISS BAY KING COLE (6) SUGGESTED BET: INCOGNITO (3) to win
RACE EIGHT
Tackling a mare’s qualifier last start, MADRIGAL (10) eased off the inside to sit in the running line and was making the closing challenge in the stretch but could not quite reel them in when 1m from the winner. Finishing best to score at Redcliffe the start prior, she finds conditions to cash-in. SHES IN LINE (3) possesses good speed off the arm and from this alley can look to fire out and take control. A winner in front five runs back and setting a new PB, she was strong to the line last start when grabbing the bronze. From this gate she can throw down a challenge. MIGHTY GEORGE (5) secured the ideal trip in behind the speed last start and when angled into space, had the speed to arrive. Positioning cheaply will be the key to his chances here. BONNIES DANCE (6) faces a tough gate but has a good close out when saved. Strong to the line last start when under 5m from the winner, a strong tempo will aid her podium prospects. SELECTIONS: MADRIGAL (10), SHES IN LINE (3), MIGHTY GEORGE (5), BONNIES DANCE (6) SUGGESTED BET: MADRIGAL (10) to win
