RACE ONE LITTLEMICKEY (9) should take plenty of experience from his debut outing when finishing runner-up to the handy RISK TAKER in a 2YO event. A beautifully bred colt by American Ideal, his debut effort was a smart piece of work, and he can build on that here. TIPPIN IT (8) was asked to sit parked last start and despite a tough trip, was able to hold on for the bronze. Not that far away two starts back despite striking trouble in the run, he can get handy to make a play. GOOD BOOTS BINDI (1) has shown some steady improvement throughout the season and if able to put his efforts from last Sunday into play, is a big hope against this company from this gate. SAFETOSAYIMFANCY (3) has been a placing at her past two starts, the latest when chasing home behind RISK TAKER. She can be close enough to make a play. SELECTIONS: LITTLEMICKEY (9), TIPPIN IT (8), GOOD BOOTS BINDI (1), SAFETOSAYIMFANCY (3) SUGGESTED BET: LITTLEMICKEY (9) to win
RACE TWO
PARTY CHANGER (1) was third up from a spell last start when showing the speed off the arm to find the poles and then handed over, ultimately holding on to finish with the silver. Midfield from this gate the start prior, from this gate with the options, he looks to get a chance. TAURUS BROMAC (7) has now had two starts since arriving in Aus with the latest from the pocket trail but unable to sprint when the power went up in front. A beaten fav at his first Qld appearance, he will need some factors in his favour from this alley but looks set to throw it down. ROCKTIME (5) was exposed for a period before securing the 1x1 trail two starts back when only a half-neck from the winner KISS ON THE BEACH. He can stake a claim in this. FRIDAY THIRTEENTH (8) started from inside the second line last start and was soon buried in the run and never a factor thereafter. Runner-up at Marburg the start prior, he can chime in here. SELECTIONS: PARTY CHANGER (1), TAURUS BROMAC (7), ROCKTIME (5), FRIDAY THIRTEENTH (8) SUGGESTED BET:
RACE THREE
HOLLYWOODBOUND (6) has placed at her past four in succession and despite the wide gate, looks to have found the right conditions for a 2023 breakthrough. Sent forward from outside the second line last start to sit parked, she can roll forward here and capitalise. HOLME BOY (9) has been runner-up at his past two starts, the latest when working home strongly wide off the track when just a neck from the winner. Collared in the closing stages two starts back when setting the speed, he is 1 from 1 at this trip and can throw it down here. SALS LAST BLAST (5) was buried from gate 1 last start before making some late metres to grab the bronze behind MY ULTIMATE BUDDHA. The gate is awkward, but she looks up to the task. COBBLER LANE (4) was chasing from the poles last start when midfield. He can show some early hustle here to get handy and feature thereafter. SELECTIONS: HOLLYWOODBOUND (6), HOLME BOY (9), SALS LAST BLAST (5), COBBLER LANE (4) SUGGESTED BET: HOLLYWOODBOUND (6) to win
RACE FOUR
SCOTCH EN ICE (2) was forced to sit parked last start at HQ when staring down a hat-trick of victories. Overcoming a second line gate the start prior when powering over the top and pulling clear to claim a 20m margin, he can be handy enough to take full advantage here. SURF ACE (5) has a tidy record here on The Triangle which shows two wins from his three attempts. A passing lane 2nd last start over the AP 2138 after securing the ideal trip in behind the speed behind PACIFICO DREAM, he can defy the gate to issue a challenge. PEMBROOKS PASSION (5) will be first up for the new stable off the back of 18 months off the scene and taking his first look at Redcliffe. With a smart prepping trial, he can feature fresh. BOMBADIER JUJON (6) has only started here at Redcliffe once this year in his 27 starts for the term. With some handy recent efforts against strong opposition, the gate makes it a tough test. SELECTIONS: SCOTCH EN ICE (2), SURF ACE (5), PEMBROOKS PASSION (5), BOMBADIER JUJON (6) SUGGESTED BET: SCOTCH EN ICE (2) to win
RACE FIVE
CHIEF JUJON (6) pressed on form gate 4 to find the front here five runs back and once in control was able to fight them off to score. Wide off the track last start when midfield, he is going well enough to overcome the gate and stake a claim here. TORQUE IN CONTROL (5) was a winner over this trip four runs back when settled in the running line before making one closing burst to take a 4m margin. Only a head away at her next start despite striking trouble, she was beaten by the gate last start. With the right trip, she can challenge. MY ULTIMATE RUDI (8) held on for the bronze last start after releasing for the trail and finishing 3m astern of the winner. The second line makes it an ask, but further improvement can help. SONNY ORLANDO (2) was trying to see it out in front last start but faded over the closing stages. His record at the middle trip is not appealing, but he can settle close enough to grab a minor. SELECTIONS: CHIEF JUJON (6), TORQUE IN CONTROL (5), MY ULTIMATE RUDI (8), SONNY ORLANDO (2) SUGGESTED BET: CHIEF JUJON (6) to win
RACE SIX
MELTON INSULTED (1) has worked her way back into some form and lines up here after placing in three of her past four. Using the passing lane from inside the second line last start when 3m from KULANI COURAGE, she can use her arm hustle and look to dictate. KULANI COURAGE (4) found ideal condition last start when darting through from gate 1 to take them all the way over the 2040 trip. Warming into that win with successive placings including a 3rd when setting a slick tempo in front, he can get forward to make his presence felt. VERMONT (3) was chasing a hat-trick last start when showing some early hustle but forced to settle in the running line when just missing the money behind KULANI COURAGE. She can feature again. FRAYA (6) was not suited last start after fading from the breeze and the start prior tackled a mare’s qualifier. Despite a wide gate, she finds the right conditions to chime in. SELECTIONS: MELTON INSULTED (1), KULANI COURAGE (4), VERMONT (3), FRAYA (6) SUGGESTED BET: MELTON INSULTED (1) to win
RACE SEVEN
MISS MIA (1) was a winner two starts back from this same gate when burrowing through to protect the poles and take them all the way. Beaten a pimple last start from the 1x1 trail, she can take control again here and keep them chasing. STUDLEIGH MARK (2) had placed in successive starts leading into his last run here last week from gate 1 where he was sent to the post an odds-on fav. Setting the tempo, he could not finish them off when midfield. He can settle handy enough to issue the challenge. MAC SWEENEY (9) caught the eye when flashing home here three starts back at his first run in over two years. Unplaced in both subsequent attempts with very little luck, he can feature here. HEY MISTER TAYLOR (3) will line up in what will likely be his last outing for the season, a term in which he has snared a solitary win, despite placing on 20 further occasions. He can go close again. SELECTIONS: MISS MIA (1), STUDLEIGH MARK (2), MAC SWEENEY (9), HEY MISTER TAYLOR (3) SUGGESTED BET:
RACE EIGHT
IMA BEACH BABE (7) was taken back to find position last start and from deep field was never a factor. Chasing SISTA BLISS over the AP mile three starts back, she can follow the speed here and look to make the passing lane blitz a winning one. HUGO GEORGE (5) did not have the smoothest passage last start when making late metres to be 5m astern of the winner REDS STAR DEAL. On the disappointing side of the equation in both prior starts, his last run was sharper and despite an awkward gate, he can build off that run to challenge. MISTER DIAMOND (1) has the gate to look to utilise some early hustle to settle forward. Trying to make ground last start from deep field in nice effort behind SUBSTITOOTH, the gate is a huge plus. SUNRISE RUBY (9) was trying to make a late play last time out when grabbing the bronze and finishing 4m from the winner VINDICATE. Hitting the board in 8 of her past 9, she can feature. SELECTIONS: IMA BEACH BABE (7), HUGO GEORGE (5), MISTER DIAMOND (1), SUNRISE RUBY (9) SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-5-7-9
RACE NINE
DOCTA FEELGOOD (8) was a smart winner here three starts back when descending on them and pulling clear to post a 7m margin. Trying to see it out last start when leading and collared in the closing stages, he can get forward and look to overcome the second line gate. REDS STAR DEAL (7) will need some factors in his favour but with the chance of the economical trip, he will be looking to make the most of his sprint when the gaps arrive. Taking them all the way last start to score with a 3m margin, he will be tucked in behind and probing for gaps here. SAN MAREA (1) was strong to the line last start after facing a second line gate when runner-up to REDS STAR DEAL. Setting the tempo from gate 5 two starts back when collared late, she can make a play form this alley. WOODLEA DIEGO (2) released from gate 1 here two starts back when grabbing the silver behind SCOTCH EN ICE. Landing the prize up the passing lane last start, he can be handy enough to join in. SELECTIONS: DOCTA FEELGOOD (8), REDS STAR DEAL (7), SAN MAREA (1), WOODLEA DIEGO (2) SUGGESTED BET: DOCTA FEELGOOD (8) to win
RACE TEN
TORQUE WRITER (1) started from this gate last start over the 2040 trip and was very slowly into stride and was soon shuffled to three back on the markers. Grabbing the bronze, she can look for a better start into the 1780 starting zone and look to capitalise from the gate. OUR UNCLE LES (4) had been building towards something when pressing on with it from outside the second line last start to take control and then claim a 5m margin. This a trifle tougher, but he can look to get forward to issue the challenge. BLACKJACK BETH (6) was chasing a hat-trick of victories last start when reined in over the latter stages after setting the pace to finish as the runner-up. Leading throughout in both prior victories, she has claims. THE CASUAL GOOSE (7) was a winner three starts back when finishing best to claim the prize. Likely to be tucked away, he can probe for some space to make a play. SELECTIONS: TORQUE WRITER (1), OUR UNCLE LES (4), BLACKJACK BETH (6), THE CASUAL GOOSE (7) SUGGESTED BET: TORQUE WRITER (1) to win
