Punters will now have access to more insights and data analysis than ever across all three codes in Queensland.
Racing Queensland has unveiled a number of enhancements to its sectional offerings, headlined by a raft of innovative new data points including a horse’s stride frequency and length across each furlong.
Delivered by tripleSdata, each report will also feature individualised breakdowns of average and top speeds, as well as racing position and distance from the rail in run.
“RQ is a leader in the utilisation of race data and the enhancements being delivered by tripleSdata's world-leading systems to punters,” tripleSdata founder and CEO Carlos Santo said.
“The advancement in this space will ensure that owners, trainers and stakeholders more broadly will help grow engagement with the sport, improve equine welfare and deliver new revenue opportunities for the sport.
“Data is king, and we are proud to continue the strong partnership with RQ.”
In addition, sectional data for all greyhound races at both the Brisbane and Ipswich Greyhound Racing Clubs is now available thanks to Brook Racing and Sporting Technology.
As a result, around 60% of greyhound races in the state will now have sectional timings freely available.
Racing Queensland CEO Jason Scott said the latest rollout of reliable, accurate, and relevant sectional data is another positive outcome for all industry stakeholders.
“We continually strive to deliver new and innovative products for both participant and punter alike, and are leading the way by delivering free in-depth and individualised breakdowns for the vast majority of TAB thoroughbred meetings across the state,” he said.
“With timings now available on every South East Queensland greyhound race, this means that almost three quarters of every TAB meeting – across all three codes – will have sectional data available via the RQ website.
“These enhancements are another win for participants and broadcasters who continue to have access to more analytical data than ever before here in Queensland.”
In late 2022, an agreement with tripleSdata saw the delivery of real-time tracking technology and sectional timings for thoroughbred and harness racing.
The service is provided to customers and stakeholders via Sky Racing’s broadcast and digital platforms, through the individual clubs, and on Racing Queensland’s website.
