Racing Queensland advises that races 8-12 were abandoned at the Rockhampton Greyhound Racing Club meeting on Thursday, May 30, due to issues with the variable speed drive (VSD) component of the lure.
A new VSD component has been ordered which is scheduled to be installed and tested on Monday, June 3.
At this point in time, the Rockhampton race meeting for Wednesday, June 5, has been tentatively transferred to Thursday, June 6. Nominations will now close on Tuesday, June 4, at 9am. The meeting will only proceed if the Club has successfully trialled prior to the close of nominations.
A decision whether to proceed with the race meeting will be made on Tuesday, June 4.
Furthermore, RQ advises that the Young Guns Final on Thursday, May 30, has been abandoned with prize money divided evenly between starters.
