RACE ONE

This is the second 2YO Trot of the season and despite an extra two runners this time, the same numbers can look to run the trifecta. WHY TANYA SUE (6) was dominant on debut and despite the extra 10m for this contest, she will have gained plenty from that first effort and can repeat.

MONTEREY LASS (1) showed good manners off the mark on debut and was the best of the chasing pack behind WHY TANYA SUE. The added experience will be a plus.

JUSTABITLIKETHIS (4) held on for 3rd at the debut and was a further 12m behind the 2nd placed MONTEREY LASS. She can look to use the experience to hold off the newcomers for the minor money.

SELECTIONS: WHY TANYA SUE (6), MONTEREY LASS (1), JUSTABITLIKETHIS (4)
SUGGESTED BET: WHY TANYA SUE (6) to win

RACE TWO

Placed in all four runs since returning this season, GAIT WITH GRACE (1) is getting closer to the 2024 breakthrough. Buried last start, she was strong to the line over the closing stages when 4m from the winner. With her manners, she finds conditions to capitalise.

UTOPIA (9) has had the two Qld runs now and yet to fully display the talent that he does possess. Working hard in the run last start from the 30m tape and finishing rearward, he can be sharper here with a softer trip.

PANDA FOOEY (3) has now had two runs for the new stable, the latest when sent hard in the early stages to find a forward spot, ultimately fading late. With the right trip, he can feature.

YSMIR (6) saw a gap in the closing stages here three starts back in a tidy effort when 8m from the winner TUMULT. With the ability to jump cleanly, she can be in position to feature.

SELECTIONS: GAIT WITH GRACE (1), UTOPIA (9), PANDA FOOEY (3), YSMIR (6)
SUGGESTED BET: GAIT WITH GRACE (1) to win

RACE THREE

Producing mixed results since returning to start his 3YO term, NORTHERN HEIGHTS (2) has shown good improvement and looks to have found the ideal set up to dictate. Grabbing the bronze last start behind G O A T in a handy effort, he finds the breakthrough conditions here.

MY RUMOUR HAS IT (6) is building towards another victory and last start was trying to grip in from the front, only to be nabbed in the last stride. Hitting the line in good order the start prior, she can get away strongly to issue the challenge.

BURKHARDT (13) has drawn off the second line as he looks to repeat his previous victory which came here last start. Powering home over the top in that, he can be ready to feature.

LINDY GRACE (11) tackled the pacers last start at Redcliffe when sent out as the fav but had to settle for the bronze. With the right cart into the contest, he can feature.

SELECTIONS: NORTHERN HEIGHTS (2), MY RUMOUR HAS IT (6), BURKHARDT (13), LINDY GRACE (11)
SUGGESTED BET: NORTHERN HEIGHTS (2) to win

RACE FOUR

The unraced 3YO gelding JOHN SNOW (1) has snared the perfect gate to attempt to get his career off to the perfect start. By Washington VC, the gelding joins the Turpin stable and has trialled in nice order for the debut. He can cash in first up.

WEREGOINGTOGETHCA (6) was on debut when finding the front and then releasing for the trail and finishing runner-up to HAPPY AS CAN BE. Taking the experience and benefit from that outing, she can look to issue a challenge from the tough gate second up.

PLAYBOI ROY (10) has now had two runs back from a long spell and placed in both. Striking trouble in the run last time, he still was under 2m from the winner and can chime in again.

OGEDIE (4) is a 2YO tackling this mixed maiden and last start was runner-up in a similar open age contest when trying to see them off from the front. He can feature again here.

SELECTIONS:  JOHN SNOW (1), WEREGOINGTOGETHCA (6), PLAYBOI ROY (10), OGEDIE (4)
SUGGESTED BET: JOHN SNOW (1) to win

RACE FIVE

An open contest here made no easier by the 2138 middle trip which many of these have questionable credentials at. MISSED CONSEQUENCES (11) was too strong for them over the closing stages at Redcliffe last start and steps up to the middle trip for the first time.

ARCHILLES (6) has been a model of consistency, racking up the placings week in week out. Just a half-head off the winner last start when working hard in the run, his conversion rate at the middle trip looks the biggest concern in his challenging chances.

GO COLOUR MY WORLD (10) was back in winning for last start when sent forward from gate 6 and working in the run was able to see them off. Runner-up the start prior, he can chime in again.

SWEETNSPICY (2) likely gets the chance to be first down to the poles here and under that scenario she would be a place contender. Running on late for 3rd last start, she is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: MISSED CONSEQUENCES (11), ARCHILLES (6), GO COLOUR MY WORLD (10), SWEETNSPICY (2)
SUGGESTED BET: MISSED CONSEQUENCES (11) win/place

RACE SIX

Turned over last week over the 2138 when sent out as the fav from gate 7, HOT ROD HARRY (9) should appreciate a return to the sprint trip. A winner from gate 7 here three back when put into the contest early, he can rev up and look to put the power on to take this.

LEITHEN BURN (10) has been on the Saturday night circuit in recent times and last start bumped into the talented SURE THING CAPTAIN. Runner-up three starts back when 3m from WE ALWAYS HAVE FAITH, with the right cart into the contest, he can issue the challenge.

ROCK HAMMER (3) has been in good touch and has wins in two of his past three starts, the latest when sent forward early, taking cover and then finishing best. He can feature again.

DELILAH ROSE (5) was sent forward here two starts back and from the front was able to take them all the way for a 2m victory in a PB rate. Just 3m away last start, she can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: HOT ROD HARRY (9), LEITHEN BURN (10), ROCK HAMMER (3), DELILAH ROSE (5)
SUGGESTED BET: HOT ROD HARRY (9) to win

RACE SEVEN

Appreciating a return to the Tuesday veterans grade, LAST TIME JOE (9) should be able to position ideally in the running line. A Saturday winner in B5 company two back when descending on them over this same trip, the tempo should suit for him to make a repeat here.

COMMODORE JUJON (1) maps for the ideal trip in behind the speed and last start was just an eyelash short of the prize after making a last rally on the wire. Forced to sit parked the start prior behind subsequent winner BETTERTHANAROCKET, he can throw down the challenge.

TAIRLAW TOLL (11) took on a tough contest from the second line last start when always faced with a task as JIMARTEE carved it out in front. Back to this grade, he is right in the fight.

PARAMA (3) started from inside the second line last start and was buried in the run before making some nice metres in the closing stages to be just 5m adrift. He can join in here.

SELECTIONS: LAST TIME JOE (9), COMMODORE JUJON (1), TAIRLAW TOLL (11), PARAMA (3)
SUGGESTED BET: LAST TIME JOE (9) to win

RACE EIGHT

A tricky race here where the early map looks a muddling picture. WINDY HILL WALLY (5) will need some factors in his favour from this alley, with his run two back a nice effort when 3rd behind ALTA MAGACIAN. With the right trip, he is going well enough to capitalise.

OUR GEORGE BOSTON (3) will be first up from a spell as he steps out for the first time this campaign. A last start Bathurst winner back in October, he has had two trials in readiness for the return and can get handy enough to challenge here fresh up.

HANDS ON (10) backs up from Saturday where he was sent forward in the early stages to find the front from gate 6 and then fight them off. The second line makes it a tougher ask here.

LANAI (11) was attacking the line last time out from a second line gate when runner-up over this trip to BETTERTHANAROCKET. He can be joining in again in this.

SELECTIONS: WINDY HILL WALLY (5), OUR GEORGE BOSTON (3), HANDS ON (10), LANAI (11)
SUGGESTED BET: WINDY HILL WALLY (5) to win

RACE NINE

Off the back of an impressive trial hit out, DUKE OF SCOTLAND (4) can look to make his first appearance in the Sunshine State a winning one. Arriving from the South of NZ to join the Chantal Turpin barn, the 4YO is a one-time winner. He can look to strike fresh.

ZENA RHAYNE BOW (2) is a classy 3YO filly that is yet to miss a top-three this season, which includes a 3rd in the NSW Oaks two starts back. Faced with a tough trip when wide early over the 2138 here last start from gate 6, she can look to bounce back and issue the challenge.

BOLD MEDLEY JUJON (8) has placed at his past three starts, the latest when sent to sit parked and despite the tough trip, was still grinding on the wire when beaten a half-neck. He will be probing.

QUEENSLANDER (1) should take some benefit from his last start where he was first up from a spell over the middle trip. Gate 12 did not help on that occasion and he can be sharper in this.

SELECTIONS: DUKE OF SCOTLAND (4), ZENA RHAYNE BOW (2), BOLD MEDLEY JUJON (8), QUEENSLANDER (1)
SUGGESTED BET: DUKE OF SCOTLAND (4) to win

RACE TEN

Yet to strike a winning blow in six attempts since resuming from a spell, COSMIC FLYER (10) looks to have secured the right conditions to turn that around here. 8m from the smart MAJOR HOT last start in a strong 3YO contest, this looks well within reach.

WHATA LEGACY (2) has now had four runs back from a spell, the latest when sent to the post as the fav and after setting the tempo was overturned late to be 3m from the winner. Hitting the line strongly when 3rd two starts back, he can find the poles first and throw it down.

LANCELOT BROMAC (1) has been thereabouts of late and last time was hitting the line to be 5m from the winner. With 543 career starts, he can boast 55 more starts than the every other runner in this field combined.

LOVIN MISS DIXIE (9) showed early hustle to find the poles last time and was then shuffled to three back when missing the money behind DONTTELLMEAGAIN. She can be chiming in here.

SELECTIONS: COSMIC FLYER (10, WHATA LEGACY (2), LANCELOT BROMAC (1), LOVIN MISS DIXIE (9)
SUGGESTED BET: COSMIC FLYER (10) to win
