RACE ONE

First up in Qld after crossing the Nullarbor, WASA HEAT SEEKER (4) joins the Mitchell Dawson stable as a five-time winner. Stepping out stylishly in a trial where he powered up in slick time, he finds the right gate to dictate fresh.

APOLLO DREAMZ (10) tackled the 4YO Triad Final last start where a flat tyre 1400 from home, made it a long trip. Making some closing metres off tempo the start prior as subsequent winner ROYAL CRUISER proved too slick, he can be making a closing challenge.

WATERMELON SUGAR (7) joins the Trista Dixon stable and will be first up since May after crossing the Tasman. With a sound trial to open the pipes, the gate stings here.

SMOOTH OVERARM (1) was first up in Qld two starts back when grabbing the silver along the passing lane behind ART JESTER. A soft trip aids his podium prospects.

SELECTIONS: WASA HEAT SEEKER (4), APOLLO DREAMZ (10), WATERMELON SUGAR (7), SMOOTH OVERARM (1)
SUGGESTED BET: WASA HEAT SEEKER (4) to win

RACE TWO

Eased to find position last start, BLACKJACK BART (5) was hitting the line in strong fashion to grab the silver behind CHAMONIX. Laying out some smart individual splits, it followed a wide trip at Redcliffe and with the right transit, this looks a race within reach.

ART ON FIRE (2) will be chasing a hat-trick of victories after wins at the Redcliffe 1780 and then here at the middle trip. Finishing over the top of them here last start to claim a 2m margin, this is a tougher contest, but the gate is a plus.

OURSWEETPOG (10) found the pocket trail last start and when hitting space, had the speed to dart past the leader and score. She can be making a closing raid again here.

GOODOLBOYSANDBEER (8) will be requiring a slice of luck at some stage to find clear air as he looks at risk of being buried. A big winner last time at the 2138, he will be probing.

SELECTIONS: BLACKJACK BART (5), ART ON FIRE (2), OURSWEETPOG (10), GOODOLBOYSANDBEER (8)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

LETS GO BAILEY (10) is afforded no favours from the outside second line but might have enough edge over his rivals to capitalise. Making late ground when 3rd to SCRUFFY two starts back, he was a beaten fav last time behind SHEZA BONNY SHEILA.

CALF PEN (5) has placed at his past two starts, the latest when sent out as the fav at Redcliffe and working hard and wide. 5m from the winner AURORA JOY here two starts back, he can press forward for position to issue the challenge.

PLAYBOY ROI (4) was beaten by gate 7 last start when forced to retreat before hitting the line strongly over the closing stages. Hitting the board in his previous six runs, he is in the mix.

EPIC ORION (3) is on the back up from Wed night at Redcliffe where he looked a podium hope from a wide gate. A winner on The Triangle four runs back, settling handy will aid his chances.

SELECTIONS: LETS GO BAILEY (10), CALF PEN (5), PLAYBOY ROI (4), EPIC ORION (3)
SUGGESTED BET: LETS GO BAILEY (10) to win

RACE FOUR

Banished to the trials two starts back, NASHVILLE BART (10) was back in business last start when sent to the front from gate 2, holding them off in a dictating win with 5m to spare. The gates stings but he finds the right opposition to chase back-to-back wins.

MALINJANG (5) was resuming from a spell last start when making good metres in the closing stages to finish 4m from the winner. A Redcliffe winner four runs back when darting through on the passing lane, her conversion record here on the big deck is not great, but this is within reach.

POCKET BOOK (1) was exposed early before cover arrived last time where she was 6m from the winner ART ON FIRE. The gate assists her chances of a podium finish.

ITS ONE LIFE (3) followed the fence home for the bronze in a stronger 3YO contest three starts back behind RESET THE BAR. Buried last start, he can get handy to feature here.

SUGGESTED BET: NASHVILLE BART (10) to win

RACE FIVE

MACS A DUDE (10) secured the 1x1 trail here two starts back and with the right trip was able to finish best in claiming victory. Starting from inside the second line last start, his chances evaporated when the leader hoisted the white flag at the 400 and carted him back.

BRAEVIEW FELLA (6) made the most of conditions here two starts back when pressing to the front and fighting them off in claiming a 5m margin. Copping the backwash of a tiring leader last start, the wide gate dents the hopes somewhat and positioning cheaply will be key.

STORMBOY STAR (5) has two wins in his past three starts, the latest when finishing over the top of them from gate 7. A dictating Redcliffe winner three starts back, he has claims again.

SWEETNSPICY (2) tackled the 4YO Mare’s Triad last start when finishing down the line behind LADY DIGBY. Back to this grade can see her feature.

MUFASA BART (10) might just be lining up here looking to emulate his stable mates from the same gate with Ron Sallis presenting three live hopes in successive races from the same gate. Placed his past three in succession, he attacked the line last start and can throw it down again.

SIR JUJON (1) was locked away along the inside here three starts back and picked off some late metres for the bronze. 5m away last start at Redcliffe, the gate can help his podium claims.

CAPTAIN OH CAPTAIN (8) was a Marburg winner three starts back and then has struggled to fire a shot in his past two. A soft trip can help his chances of a minor.

SELECTIONS: SPORTS BOUNTY (5), MUFASA BART (10), SIR JUJON (1), CAPTAIN OH CAPTAIN (8)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

Sent forward from the second line last start, SHEZ ALL STYLE (5) was asked to sit parked when grinding out a 4m deficit to STORMBOY STAR. Sitting parked the start prior when finishing near the rear, she may need to do some early work again here, but finds the opposition to capitalise.

LOVIN MISS DIXIE (7) has placed at her past three starts, the latest when making good metres in the closing stages to be under 3m from the winner. A beaten fav on The Triangle in both prior outings, the gate hurts and she will be looking to limit the work.

LANCELOT BROMAC (3) was driven hard to hold the front at Redcliffe two starts back and nearly turned back the clock when holding 2nd. Look for him winding up in the stretch.

CONVAIR HUSTLER (9) has been campaigning at Redcliffe of late and heads to the big deck following successive 2nd placed returns, the latest when beaten a half-head.

SELECTIONS: SHEZ ALL STYLE (5), LOVIN MISS DIXIE (7), LANCELOT BROMAC (3), CONVAIR HUSTLER (9)
SUGGESTED BET: SHEZ ALL STYLE (5) to win

RACE EIGHT

BLUE BLOODZ (9)
will strip fitter following his latest start where he was resuming from a spell. Buried from inside the second line as NASHVILLE BART dictated, he was a winner at Marburg three starts back and with the right trip, finds conditions to capitalise.

GABBYS IDEAL (1) started from two off the second line last time at Redcliffe when angled to the poles for the short way home. Owning superior closing speed to take the W, she snares all the options from this alley to throw it down.

JET FORCE (4) closed it out strongly at Redcliffe two starts back to score by a narrow margin. Buried last start when picking a few off over the closing stages, he can be joining in here.

FILLY THIRTEEN (6) went hard off the arm to take control here three starts back and from the front was able to see them off. Barriers have stung in both since.

SELECTIONS: BLUE BLOODZ (9), GABBYS IDEAL (1), JET FORCE (4), FILLY THIRTEEN (6)
SUGGESTED BET: BLUE BLOODZ (9) to win

RACE NINE

A wide open maiden to close the night where LEAVE IT TO LUCY (10) might just be able to defy the gate. A runner-up on debut to force her way into the Triad Final for 2YO fillies, the effort was sound in the big one behind COOL AND CLASSY.

MAJOR ARK (2) was eating into the deficit at Redcliffe two starts back when finishing just a neck from the winner. Not that far from MY SCIMITAR last start, she can settle close enough to issue a challenge.

MIDNIGHT SENORA (8) was first up for the Dwyer stable last time out when drawn wide off the front line. Easing across for position, she can secure the soft trip here to chase a minor.

STUDLEIGH RED (9) is yet to hit the board in 12 attempts, the latest when midfield from this same gate, finishing some 25m away. At his 13th start, it might prove the lucky number.

SELECTIONS: LEAVE IT TO LUCY (10), MAJOR ARK (2), MIDNIGHT SENORA (8), STUDLEIGH RED (9)
SUGGESTED BET:
