RACE ONE Runner-up at his past two starts in stronger company, ALTA MAGACIAN (4) can look to get back into winning form. Hitting the line in good style behind DUKE OF SCOTLAND two back, he was best of the rest behind SURE THING CAPTAIN last start. He can go one better. CONGO LINE (1) powered home over the top of them here four starts back when working home down the outside. Luckless last start when retreating for position, he is an effective performer up the passing lane and with the right trip behind the speed can take the snipers shot. SAINT CRUSADER (10) was first up for the new stable last start when asked to sit parked from gate 6 as SURE THING CAPTAIN dictated. That was a strong performance, and he can feature here. DANGERZONE (7) was first up from a spell and back in Qld last start when attacking the line and just a half-neck from the winner O B LEGAL. The wide gate makes it a tough ask in this. SELECTIONS: ALTA MAGACIAN (4), CONGO LINE (1), SAINT CRUSADER (10), DANGERZONE (7) SUGGESTED BET: ALTA MAGACIAN (4) to win
RACE TWO
A wide-open qualifier on the cards here where HASTY BID (6) will be third up from a break. Eased from gate 5 when resuming and following them home, he was at the rear of the pack last start before attacking the line strongly in the closing stages. He can look to descend on them. MACH ASSASSIN (8) was strong to the line here three starts back when grabbing the silver behind LAURIE DEE, just 1m astern. Winning both runs since, the latest when dictating, he will be snookered here and searching for the gaps to challenge. THEMIGHTY MIKI (5) will be first up for the Cini stable, arriving after a last start fade out at Newcastle. From an awkward gate, he is a podium hope. BUSHY BEACH (9) kept the power on last start at the mile but was out of tokens turning for home when holding on for the bronze behind FORCE FULL. He can be chiming in here.
SELECTIONS: HASTY BID (6), MACH ASSASSIN (8), THEMIGHTY MIKI (5), BUSHY BEACH (9) SUGGESTED BET: HASTY BID (6) to win
RACE THREE
A drop back into Band 2-4 company looks a gift for BLACKSADANCE (4) to bounce back into winning form. Monstrous in defeat last time out when parked outside JIMARTEE in just the third ever sub 50 mile here at The Creek, the start prior he was collared by CURLY JAMES. He can put the power on to see this out. RED RIGHT HAND (8) made the most of the opportunity to find the front and roll them along here last start and once in control was able to see them of with a 6m margin. Luckless the start prior, the fence will be the place to be in this and he can look to run into 2nd. MR MCLAREN (1) has the early speed to hold position and secure the economical trip. Eased off the inside last start at the 2138, the soft trip can see him on the podium. TARGARYEN (3) has been super consistent and sectionally has been super without the winning reward. Running into 3rd last time behind MAJOR MOTH, he is a podium player once again.
SELECTIONS: BLACKSADANCE (4), RED RIGHT HAND (8), MR MCLAREN (1), TARGARYEN (3) SUGGESTED BET: BLACKSADANCE (4), exotics 4 / 1-8 / 1-3-4-8
RACE FOUR
Added fitness following his second run in Qld, LOVE GUN (7) might just have found the right conditions to get one on the board. Faced with the 20m tape two starts back, making an error and then chasing gamely, he was under 3m from the winner last time. He can go bang. DEFENSIVE GUY (8) stepped well to find the pocket trail last start and was still giving on the wire when 4m from the winner FUNNY FACE. Eased from a wide gate under mobile conditions two runs back, a safe start can see him in position to challenge. ADELLE (10) was caught for position last start and was trying to close out in finishing out of the money behind RED CASTLETON. Only beaten a head three back behind IS THAT A BID, she has claims. GLOBAL FLIGHT (1) features in a stable change to join the Turpin barn and lines up off the front tape following a handy trial performance. He stays under notice.
SELECTIONS: LOVE GUN (7), DEFENSIVE GUY (8), ADELLE (10), GLOBAL FLIGHT (1) SUGGESTED BET: LOVE GUN (7) to win
RACE FIVE
The outside second line and tempo was against JUNGLE BABY (2) two starts back when chasing home the speedster CHYNCHILLA and never featuring. Turning it all around last start, she was driven aggressively from gate 10 last start, breaking 55 for her last 800 in a strong victory. The improved gate can see her go again. COVER GIRL (8) will be requiring a slice of luck at some stage form this gate as she looks at risk of being buried. Fitter after three runs back from over 12 months off, she has been chasing from back in the pack on each occasion. If the gap arrives, she can be making a closing challenge. SHEZA BONNY SHEILA (6) was brave in defeat two starts back when holding on for the silver behind SOAP OPERA. Too tough last start when parked, the wide gate stings in this line up. WHERE THE BOYS ARE (5) has been a model of consistency, placing in both starts after completing a hat-trick of victories. Best of the chasers last start, she can be joining in.
SELECTIONS: JUNGLE BABY (2), COVER GIRL (8), SHEZA BONNY SHEILA (6), WHERE THE BOYS ARE (5) SUGGESTED BET: JUNGLE BABY (2) to win
RACE SIX Completing a hat-trick of victories last time out with a scintillating victory, CHYNCHILLA (4) looks to have the speed to make it four on the bounce. Overcoming gate 7 and running them off their legs last stat with a 51 flat mile, she can get forward to rinse and repeat. ITS EBONYNIVORY (7) overcame this gate two starts back when pressing forward and grinding out the victory. Chasing a similar pattern when a beaten fav and 2nd to DIAMOND SHOOZ last time, she looks set to roll the sleeves again here. DIAMOND SHOOZ (3) showed some early hustle before finding the 1x1 trail last time and then owning superior closing speed to reel them in and pull clear to a 5m margin. She has claims. MISS MUCHO (5) was rattling home in the closing stages two starts back when running the winner to a head. The tempo will be strong here and she can be chiming in.
SELECTIONS: CHYNCHILLA (4), ITS EBONYNIVORY (7), DIAMOND SHOOZ (3), MISS MUCHO (5) SUGGESTED BET: CHYNCHILLA (4) to win
RACE SEVEN After looking to dictate in front at the 2138 two starts back, IRON CLAD (2) led until deep stretch when collared late by the quality colt KINGMAN. Scoring a starchy victory last start in slick time when parked at the mile, he has the gate to cash in. SHEER ARTISTRY (6) is a filly tackling the boys, but her recent form suggests she will be a major player. Attacking the line strongly in the Qld Oaks three runs back when 7m from the winner, she was then a game 2nd from gate 7. Too slippery in front last start, she can look to challenge. ATTACHMENT (7) is afforded no favours from this gate, but the small field will be of benefit. Strong to the line in last week’s Triad Final when just 5m from BRONSKI ZULU, he is in the mix. DRAGON (4) settled in the running line from gate 10 last time out and had the closing speed to arrive for a narrow victory against older horses. Back to his own age, he is a podium player here.
SELECTIONS: IRON CLAD (2), SHEER ARTISTRY (6), ATTACHMENT (7), DRAGON (4) SUGGESTED BET: IRON CLAD (2) to win
RACE EIGHT The small field and the chance to avail all the options from the gate, BETTOR ROMANCE (1) has enough early speed to dictate her own position. Rattling in the stretch last time from a second line gate, she was just an eyelash short of victory. This looks well within her grasp. IM DESIRABLE (5) worked forward early until finding cover when midfield as SURE THING CAPTIAN proved far too classy. Trying to see them off from the front two starts back, she faded to the rear. Positioning cheaply will be key to her challenging chances. APHRODITE (4) was game in defeat three starts back when parked and just a half-neck from the winner. Following that with a 4m 3rd to JEWEL MELODY, she can make a play here. VINDICATE (2) was eased from this gate last start and soon was buried four back in the run before making good metres in the closing stages. The small field is again a plus.
SELECTIONS: BETTOR ROMANCE (1), IM DESIRABLE (5), APHRODITE (4), VINDICATE (2) SUGGESTED BET: BETTOR ROMANCE (1) to win
RACE NINE A high quality two-year-old contest to close the night where the runner-up of both divisions of last week’s Triad Finals do battle. THETORQUE MAJORITY (7) was 2nd after a brave effort form the second line in the boys division and although he again cops the stiff gate, he can go one better. PATH TO GREATNESS (6) is the one runner that does not come through the Triad Series, and comes into this unbeaten after two easy victories at Redcliffe. He looks an impressive conveyance and is on a NSW Breeders campaign with this proving a test of his mettle. ARRIVE (5) was runner-up in the fillies division of the Triad after sitting behind COOL AND CLASSY and running her to a 1m margin. A two-time winner, she is right in the fight. BRAVENTREACHEROUS (4) fired off he arm last start and was trying to fight them off when setting the 1.52.5 winners’ rate, just fading in the last strides behind FIRE RAISER.
SELECTIONS: THETORQUE MAJORITY (7), PATH TO GREATNESS (6), ARRIVE (5), BRAVENTREACHEROUS (4) SUGGESTED BET:
