RACE ONE

The Springboard Final will see mostly the same runners that tackled the QBRED Final doing battle for another feature race. MONTEREY LASS (4) was impressive in that Triad victory after slowly building into her career and back to the mile with her manners, can capitalise.

LAYDOWNLUNA (1) sat parked in the Triad Final, but was unable to reel in MONEREY LASS. A smart winner second up in her career, she was first up from over five weeks between runs when peaking in the latter stages. Back to the mile should also suit.

ITS ALL RIGHT NOW (2) was much better last start when finally doing everything right in the contest, grabbing the bronze as a result. Manners are the key component.

JUSTABITLIKETHIS (6) made an error at the start in the Triad Final which ended her chances, Hitting the board at her previous five in succession, she can look to bounce back.

SELECTIONS: MONTEREY LASS (4), LAYDOWNLUNA (1), ITS ALL RIGHT NOW (2), JUSTABITLIKETHIS (6)
SUGGESTED BET:
MONTEREY LASS (4) to win

RACE TWO

A five-time winner this season, MY ULTIMATE SUNNY (6) will be out to complete the Triad/Springboard Double. Allowed time to balance before being sent forward to stamp hi mark and take control last start, he looks too slippery for his opponents.

PHOENIX RED (1) was first up in Qld last time out where he made an error and finished down the line. Trialling in good order to prepare for the Triad assignment, tackling his own age is a bonus and from the inside lane, he gates his chance to capitalise.

NORTHERN HEIGHTS (3) has great manners and used them last start in the Triad Final to step to the front before releasing and holding on for the silver. He can be safely away to feature.

ALDEBARAN FONZ (2) stood flat when the tapes released last start, and he was never a factor. Runner-up in both previous runs, a safe start will be vital to his chances.

SELECTIONS: MY ULTIMATE SUNNY (6), PHOENIX RED (1), NORTHERN HEIGHTS (3), ALDEBARAN FONZ (2)
SUGGESTED BET:
MY ULTIMATE SUNNY (6) to win

RACE THREE

In super form at present, HAMMER SON (12) should appreciate the return to a 30m handicap after chasing home from the 50m last week. A strong closing 2ndand running some slick closing panels, he had won his previous four in succession and can bounce back here.

CONNIES PRESIDENT (11) settled in the 1x1 trail last time and was making good ground to the line when finishing 8m from the winner HAMMER SON. A winner from the 40m tape four starts back, with the right cart into the contest, he can issue the challenge.

BURKHARDT (7) made a costly error last start that ended his chances. Struggling to get it right from the tapes, if he can put it together to step cleanly, he could be much sharper.

GRACIAS (13) was able to trot throughout here last week which he has struggled to do in his three previous attempts. Making some good closing metres, he can show further improvement.

SELECTIONS: HAMMER SON (12), CONNIES PRESIDENT (11), BURKHARDT (7), GRACIAS (13)
SUGGESTED BET: HAMMER SON (12 to win

RACE FOUR

An impressive effort on debut from FIRENSTORM (6) saw the gelding asked to sit parked, where despite the tough trip he kept giving to the wire in finishing just an eyelash short of victory. With the added experience garnered from that outing, he can go one better.

ALICE RHAYNE BOW (3) has found the maiden breaking win elusive, placing in seven of her nine starts thus far. Down the line behind COOL AND CLASSY last time in the Triad Final, she had been runner-up her previous three in succession and can challenge again here.

OUR AUNTY BELMA (1) resumes from a spell after her last appearance in the Bathurst Gold Tiara heats. With a sound trial to prepare, the gate aids her chances.

SWEET ROCKNROLL (4) started from inside the second line last time out and was soon buried in the run. Closing it out in good order, she can be chiming in here.

SELECTIONS: FIRENSTORM (6), ALICE RHAYNE BOW (3), OUR AUNTY BELMA (1), SWEET ROCKNROLL (4)
SUGGESTED BET:
FIRENSTORM (6) to win

RACE FIVE

POWERMOVE (4) should benefit with an early scratching to her inside and after a smart effort in the Triad Consolation for 3YO fillies last start, can look to capitalise. Strong to the line from wide on the second row in that last start, she can get forward here to stake the claim.

GO COLOUR MY WORLD (10) chased home behind RESET THE BAR over the 13 furlongs on the last night of the carnival, finishing 9m astern of the winner. Placed his previous four in succession which had followed a victory, he can throw down a serious challenge.

MY ULTIMATE MARIO (6) is a 2YO tackling the older horses that arrives with the Hutchinson stable a winner in his three career starts. He stays under notice in this.

LULU MAE (7) receives no favours from outside the front line following her last start 3rd from barrier 1 when 3m from DELILAH ROSE. The gate stings but the opposition is easier.

SELECTIONS: POWERMOVE (4), GO COLOUR MY WORLD (10), MY ULTIMATE MARIO (6), LULU MAE (7)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

An early scratching to her inside will assist SHES FULLOFSPIRIT (6) just that little bit extra which might be the difference. Asked to sit parked last start, she was game in defeat with the VICAR OF DIBLEY dictating with a sub 55 close out. She can capitalise in this line up.

MIKIBEQUICK (2) has faced the starter twice since joining the Doug Hewitt team, the latest effort when making some late ground from deep field after starting from outside the second line. Runner-up to SHEER ARTISTRY the start prior, he can issue the challenge.

GOELITZ (9) attacked the line in good style last start when grabbing the silver behind ARKIN WICKED. Chasing home the flying MACH ASSASSIN the start prior, he can join in.

LAURIE DEE (10) makes his first appearance for the in-form Doug Hewitt barn and brings a last start 2nd wen just a head from the winner OBI ONE. The gate makes it a tough ask.

SELECTIONS: SHES FULLOFSPIRIT (6), MIKIBEQUICK (2), GOELITZ (9), LAURIE DEE (10)
SUGGESTED BET:
SHES FULLOFSPIRIT (6) to win

RACE SEVEN

Last making an appearance in this grade three starts back, KINGMAKER (7) was able to overcome the outside second line gate at the 2138 to arrive for a half-neck margin. Tackling FFA company at his next start, he was luckless last time from gate 7. Tempo will help.

TAIRLAW TOLL (10) never warmed up last start when chasing home behind CLASSIE WASHINGTON at the 2138. A winner at the middle trip three starts back, he can be joining in over the closing stages here.

LAST TIME JOE (5) started from inside the second line last start where he was buried in the run. Fresh up in that outing, the added fitness assists his chances here.

ALTA EQUUS (2) found the front before releasing last start where he then was still giving when 8m astern of the winner CLASSIE WASHINGTON. He can be thereabouts once again.

SELECTIONS: KINGMAKER (7), TAIRLAW TOLL (10), LAST TIME JOE (5), ALTA EQUUS (2)
SUGGESTED BET:
KINGMAKER (7) to win

RACE EIGHT

ROCKON ROCKY (3) started from wide on the second line in the consolation of the C&G Triad last start and was luckless in the run home, yet still was able to return an impressive last 800. Just a half-head away here three starts back, he can get handy to cash in here.

GEM PUNTER PETE (6) did not have a lot go his way in the same race that ROCKON ROCKY comes through in the Triad Consolation last start. Still chiming in to grab the bronze, he was game after sitting parked the start prior. The gate hurts his chances.

TEDDY TURPIN (8) will be relying on some factors in his favour from this gate. Finishing midfield in the Triad Final last start behind BRONSKI ZULU, he will be probing for the openings.

LEITHEN BURN (7) chalked up another minor last start to continue his consistency. That mad it six successive placed performances and despite the wide gate, he can chime in again.

SELECTIONS: ROCKON ROCKY (3), GEM PUNTER PETE (6), TEDDY TURPIN (8), LEITHEN BURN (7)
SUGGESTED BET:
ROCKON ROCKY (3) to win
