RACE ONE

Despite the big handicap in chasing to overcome, BENJI HALL (10) can look to defy the impot. Kept fresh since his last appearance when chasing home from the 20m tape, the start prior he made a costly error. With manners and the right trail, he can make a play in an open contest.

MIRA SATURN (2) held the pocket trail last start and was searching for inside gaps when not too far from the winner EN MASSE. With the chance to settle handy from the 20m tape using her manners off the mark, she can issue a challenge.

IGNITE (6) was an improver last start and was making good metres in the stretch to be under 3m from the winner in grabbing the silver. He can build of that to feature again here.

EN MASSE (7) is in search of a hat-trick following successive victories. The first cam chasing and finishing hard to score, the latest when stepping it out in front. 40m is a big chase.

SELECTIONS: BENJI HALL (10), MIRA SATURN (2), IGNITE (6), EN MASSE (7)
SUGGESTED BET: BENJI HALL (10) to win

RACE TWO

A tricky 2YO event with a number of unraced performers to battle it out, including the interestingly named BARSBY (7). Hailing from the super family of Washington Lass, this Bettors Delight colt has educated and trialled in nice style and can look to produce it on debut.

MIGHTY CRUNCH (5) has the race experience to call on following two starts for two placings. Making good closing metres on debut for 2nd, he was again hitting the line strongly second up. The added race experience can be vital.

FIRE AND PASSION (2) is an Always B Miki colt out of Fire One that will make its debut for Gran Dixon. A steady improver at the trials, the gate advantage will be a big plus.

YOURSOSPECIAL (6) is an Always b Miki filly out of the talented race mare Bettorthanspecial. Not asked for too much in a recent qualifying trial, she stays under watch.

SELECTIONS: BARSBY (7), MIGHTY CRUNCH (5), FIRE AND PASSION (2), YOURSOSPECIAL (6)
SUGGESTED BET: BARSBY (7) to win

RACE THREE

Well supported to start deep into the red here last time out, JILLIBY GIDDEY (6) was responsible for a huge performance after looking to have lost all chance at the 600. Rallying and following all the short cuts home, he went within a blister of victory. If he keeps it together, he can score.

SPORTS BOUNTY (10) was snagged off the gate last start and sent to the inside and was never a factor in a tougher event dictated by WAIKAKA MAGIC. Runner-up the start prior when chasing a hat-trick of victories, he finds the right event to bounce back.

WESTERN ACTION (3) was put out of business last start with a wheel issue. Buried in the run the start prior, positioning cheaply here can see him with something to offer late.

JUSTROLLINGAROUND (2) was asked to sit parked last start and after the tough trip was 7m astern of the winner. Runner-up in both prior starts, she can be thereabouts again.

SELECTIONS: JILLIBY GIDDEY (6), SPORTS BOUNTY (10), WESTERN ACTION (3), JUSTROLLINGAROUND (2)
SUGGESTED BET: JILLIBY GIDDEY (6) to win

RACE FOUR

MY ULTIMATE COBBER (6) has a wide gate in an open race as he chases his first victory since arriving in the Sunshine State. Midfield last start after looking for inside runs after starting from the second line, he worked hard in the run the start prior at Redcliffe. This is within reach.

POCKET BOOK (2) has bene in good touch in recent outings including a starchy effort here last time out when parked and proving too strong. Hitting the line in good order for the silver behind VALLANI MAGIC the start prior, she can be handy enough to challenge.

EMPMRESS BYELINE (3) should appreciate a return to the midweeks after contesting Saturday night grade in recent outings. Chasing home SHEER ARTISTRY from gate 7 last start, she has claims here.

STUDLEIGH MARK (5) has good early hustle that can see him find a forward position from this gate. Making late metres for the bronze last start at Redcliffe, he can join in.

SELECTIONS: MY ULTIMATE COBBER (6), POCKET BOOK (2), EMPMRESS BYELINE (3), STUDLEIGH MARK (5)
SUGGESTED BET: MY ULTIMATE COBBER (6) to win

RACE FIVE

Stripping fitter following his last start when resuming for his first 3YO appearance, UDDERLY SWEET (8) will be needing a small slice of luck at some stage from this gate. Best of the chasers behind the impressive WAIKAKA MAGIC when resuming, he follows a smart beginner and will be searching for gaps.

DOUGS RULES (9) was first up for the new stable when working home wide off the track at Redcliffe off a second line gate. A Tamworth winner when taking them all the way the start prior, she can be looking to follow through in the early stages to throw down a challenge.

VALLANI MAGIC (3) had been building towards a victory and franked that assessment when leading them throughout two runs back. Holding on for 3rd last start, she can get handy.

SEASIDE GLORY (7) had an impressive 2YO term where she was in the money at 11 of 14 which included a pair of victories. Last seen with a tough 3rd behind SEASIDE GLORY, the gate stings.

SELECTIONS: UDDERLY SWEET (8), DOUGS RULES (9), VALLANI MAGIC (3), SEASIDE GLORY (7)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

Given no favours from outside the front line, OUR SWEET DELIGHT (7) will need to be at his best here to capitalise. Making the most of his opportunity in front last start, he was able to see them off with 6m to spare. He can defy the gate to go back-to-back.

INDI AIR TONIGHT (10) tackled a mare’s qualifier last start from the wide gate and after parking out, faded in the closing stages. Placed in both prior attempts, she was only collared in the last strides by SHEER ARTISTRY two back and back to this grade can throw down the challenge.

RESILIENT (4) will take benefit from his last start when second up off a short let up. Eased from this same gate for position, he held 3rd behind the sharp ITS ELECTRIFYING and can chime in.

FACT FINDER (6) was first up from a spell here last week when making ground along the inside to be 3m from the winner APHRODITE. The wide gate makes it a tough ask.

SELECTIONS: OUR SWEET DELIGHT (7), INDI AIR TONIGHT (10), RESILIENT (4), FACT FINDER (6)
SUGGESTED BET: OUR SWEET DELIGHT (7) to win

RACE SEVEN

Given no favours off the second line, IRON CLAD (10) will be hoping that some tempo goes into this race through the early to middle stages. A beaten fav last start when making a late raid to get within a half-head of the winner KICKATINALONGPONY, he can arrive for the prize here.

APHRODITE (2) added another win to her tally here last week from the 1x1 trail when presenting in the stretch and finishing best to grab a narrow margin. Chasing home behind SHEER ARTISTRY in a mares contest the start prior, she can be handy from this gate to challenge.

WHATA ROLLER (8) loves a soft fence trip and should receive that from this gate and will just need the gaps to open. Buried last start as the winner pulled clear, he can probe the openings.

OUR BENSON (9) is a month between runs following a last start midfield finish when under 6m form the winner. With the right cart into the contest, he can feature.

SELECTIONS: IRON CLAD (10), APHRODITE (2), WHATA ROLLER (8), OUR BENSON (9)
SUGGESTED BET: IRON CLAD (10) to win

RACE EIGHT

Making the most of finding the front here last time out, LIFE OF ART (9) was able to take them all the way in this same grade to post a 2m margin. Running it out in front to a 1.52 flat PB, it followed a tough effort from gate 5 when parked. The 2138 may present a query.

COMMODORE JUJON (1) is on the short back up from Saturday night where he led them up early before taking cover and then fighting on for the bronze behind COLLECT A DIME. Eased from outside the front line the start prior, the gate and distance are big factors in his favour.

KICKATINALONGPONY (3) was game in defeat at Redcliffe two starts back when holding on for 3rd in a blanket finish. A gritty winner here last week over this trip, he cannot be overlooked.

OBI ONE (8) secures the right gate for his pattern and with the economical trip from release, will be awaiting the lane. With gates 7, 7, 6 and 10 at his past four, this is a better scenario for him to dive bomb them late.

SELECTIONS: LIFE OF ART (9), COMMODORE JUJON (1), KICKATINALONGPONY (3), OBI ONE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-3-8-9
