RACE 1
ACHROMATIC (2) was an impressive runner up over the middle trip at Albion Park two runs ago behind runaway winner Call To Order.
COTE DAZUR (5) impressed last start when sweeping around them and scoring a huge win. This race looks similar quality and he can look to go back to back.
BELL RIVER BOY (8) has been a revelation since joining the stable of Chloe Butler. He found traffic last start when looking to get away from the inside.
DESPONDENT (9) looks very well graded in this race. He was narrowly beaten two back behind Art Jester.
SELECTIONS: ACHROMATIC (2), COTE DAZUR (5), BELL RIVER BOY (8), DESPONDENT (9)
SUGGESTED BET: COTE DAZUR (5) to win.
RACE 2
SHARDS MATRIX (8) was luckless last time out when dragged out of the race by a tiring runner. He was very good his run prior when closing powerfully into the race late. He gains a good trailing draw in this race and is likely to take plenty of holding out in this company.
GO THE RED (7) draws awkwardly inside the back row. Couldn’t quite make up the ground last start in what became a dash home.
MISS SYRAH (2) has good gate speed and ran a good race last start when leading over this journey. Is likely to take beating again.
MISSTREPO (9) took out a similar race last start when running over the top late. She is versatile.
SELECTIONS: SHARDS MATRIX (8), GO THE RED (7), MISS SYRAH (2), MISSTREPO (9)
SUGGESTED BET: SHARDS MATRIX (8) to win.
RACE 3
ROCK IT BABY (2) was first up from a spell last start when well beaten. Should derive plenty of benefit from that run. Draws favourably in this race and can be driven tough if needed. Looks the one to beat.
THUNDAMENTAL (9) hasn’t been at his best in recent starts failing to run on in the concluding stages. He is better than those efforts and appears to have landed in a suitable race.
TIGER TOMMY (5) tired badly last start in a run that was almost too bad to be true. She showed her best is good enough for a race of this nature when first up in QLD.
FINACIALLY STABLE (3) is capable of finishing off nicely when able to secure a good run. Draws favourably in this race.
SELECTIONS: ROCK IT BABY (2), THUNDAMENTAL (9), TIGER TOMMY (5), FINACIALLY STABLE (3)
SUGGESTED BET: ROCK IT BABY (2) to win.
RACE 4
MISSED CONSEQUENCES (2) is a gate speed horse that may have found a suitable race to find herself on the front end. She is likely to benefit from. Step back to the 1780 after fading late at the end of a 2040 last time out.
HIGHLY RESPECTED (5) ran on strongly last start when wide on the track in the concluding stages. Likely to get a long way back again in this race but should be running on well late.
MOUNT HERCULES (8) found himself in the breeze last start which isn’t his ideal pattern. He is a very capable sit sprinter and was making up good ground two starts ago.
TAYLORS FOUR (6) draws poorly in this race outside the front row and doesn’t possess brilliant gate speed. She may need to do work at some stage.
SELECTIONS: MISSED CONSEQUENCES (2), HIGHLY RESPECTED (5), MOUNT HERCULES (8), TAYLORS FOUR (6)
SUGGESTED BET: MISSED CONSEQUENCES (2) to win.
RACE 5
MUFASA BART (2) showed good gate speed last start to find the top and was never in doubt after that. He draws a low gate again in this race and ca be driven a number of ways. Looks a good hope of going back to back.
DIPPED IN SILVER (7) looks likely to get a good run through in the early stages. Generally goes best when able to secure a good peg line trip and this appears a race he may get that.
THE HARRIS HAWK (5) ran on strongly into second last start. May be better suited stepping back to the 1780 journey.
MISTER HART (1) gate speed horse looks to have drawn ideally in this race and can dictate early.
SELECTIONS: MUFASA BART (2), DIPPED IN SILVER (7), THE HARRIS HAWK (5), MISTER HART (1)
SUGGESTED BET: MUFASA BART (2) to win.
RACE 6
KONNYMARA (9) has drawn favourably in this race and should do no work in the early stages. He faced the breeze last start in what appeared a race with slightly more depth. Looks the one to beat.
CHEEKY BABY (4) hit the line strongly behind Megs Boy last start which looks strong form for a race of this nature. Will likely be sat up for one run at them late and should be hard to beat.
RACE FOR RICHES (7) impressed with a very good win on debut before taking on a few slightly tougher races. Returns in this race and draws reasonably well to follow out a good beginner. Can figure.
ART OF ROCK (1) has gate speed and can dictate in the early stages.
SELECTIONS: KONNYMARA (9), CHEEKY BABY (4), RACE FOR RICHES (7), ART OF ROCK (1)
SUGGESTED BET: KONNYMARA (9) to win.
RACE 7
TOFFEE NOSE (2) has been improved with each and every run this time. Worked hard last start to find the front and was gallant in defeat behind the very short priced favourite in Our Ultimate Milly. May look to adopt similar tactics again.
ANIMORE (6) made a break in her first run for the new stable. Ran a reasonable third in her previous run when finding the pegs in the early stages. Hard to assess.
SWEET LAD JUJON (3) trialled fairly for a maiden race and is likely to have derived benefit from that effort. Draws reasonably and should be thereabouts in this race.
WICKED ARK (1) was well beaten in a recent trial behind some nice enough horses. Likely to have benefited from that run and can be hard to beat this time.
SELECTIONS: TOFFEE NOSE (2), ANIMORE (6), SWEET LAD JUJON (3), WICKED ARK (1)
SUGGESTED BET: TOFFEE NOSE (2) to win.
RACE 8
MAN OF ACTION (3) has good gate speed and may look to push to the front in the early stages. His most recent win in January came when leading all of the way.
PROSPECTUS (6) draws poorly in this race outside the front row but certainly looks to bring in some of the better form lines into this contest. She is likely to prove hard to beat.
OUR UNCLE LES (1) has gate speed giving him options in the early stages. Was sent back to the trials after making a break in his last race start where he took a sit and was able to run over the top late.
MY ULTIMATE LOUIE (7) should get a reasonably track into the race from the back row draw. He follows a horse with gate speed and is capable when at his best.
SELECTIONS: MAN OF ACTION (3), PROSPECTUS (6), OUR UNCLE LES (1), MY ULTIMATE LOUIE (7)
SUGGESTED BET: PROSPECTUS (6) to win.
