Racing Queensland advises that the Ipswich Showgrounds have been designated as a place of refuge by the Ipswich City Council due to the impact of ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred. The venue is unavailable for racing and trialling until further notice.
It is possible the venue will be available later in the week and as such race fields for Ipswich Thursday and Friday will be drawn tomorrow. However, race meetings will be abandoned if the Ipswich Showgrounds remain designated as a place of refuge.
The Golden Chase heats (Ipswich Auction Series) scheduled for this Saturday, March 15, have been postponed until Saturday, March 22. RQ advises programming amendments to feature race dates as follows:
