Racing Queensland advises that there has been changes made to the metropolitan race meeting programmes this week following the abandonment of the last six races at Doomben on Saturday.

Brisbane Racing Club (Doomben) – Wednesday, April 16

The following races from Saturday's abandoned meeting have been rescheduled to Wednesday, and the same fields retained with scratchings reinstated:

  • Quality Handicap - 1350m - $105,000. No Apprentice claims; and
  • 3YO Quality Handicap (Fillies) - 1350m - $105,000 + QTIS.  No Apprentice claims.

As a result, the 1100m Maiden Handicap has been deleted from the programme. Trainers with horses in this race have been contacted and will now pursue other opportunities over the next week.

Brisbane Racing Club (Eagle Farm) – Saturday, April 19

The following races from Saturday's abandoned meeting have been rescheduled:

  • 3YO Handicap - 1600m - $85,000 + QTIS.

Given the time which will elapse between today and in accordance with agreed policy, it is a requirement that this race will require fresh nominations. Accordingly, the closure of nominations for the race will align with those for the remainder of the meeting - 11am, Monday, April 14.
