RACE REPORTS

 

1.

SKY RACING NOVICE 520M

HIGHLY SEDUCTIVE, DIXIE TRICK and HEALTH RETREAT were best to begin.  BATTY LOVES BEER was slow out.  Leaving the front straight BATTY LOVES BEER shifted out and made contact with HIGHLY SEDUCTIVE, which in turn shifted out and made contact with MAKE THE MOST, resulting in all 3 greyhounds being checked and lose ground.  MAKE THE MOST gave ground over the final 150m.

 

Trainer’s representative Mr. P O’Reilly was of the view that after receiving a severe check rounding the 1st turn that MAKE THE MOST may have lost sign of the lure which in his view contributed to its finishing position. The greyhound MAKE THE MOST was vetted and no apparent injuries were found and a warning was placed against the greyhound.

SULZANTI @ STUD EASTER TROPHY HEAT 1 520M

SHEZA KEEN SIZE was best to begin.  ASTON JADORE was slow out.  Leaving the front straight FRENCH IDOL was tightened for racing room, checked and shifted out and made contact with MADE THAT WAY, which in turn shifted out and made contact with ASTON JADORE, resulting in all 3 greyhounds to be severely checked.  Shortly after FRENCH IDOL, IN THE PICTURE, MADE THAT WAY and ASTON JADORE all raced tight resulting in each greyhound being severely checked and losing considerable ground.  DASING BRADSTA was hampered as a result.  In the front straight FRENCH IDOL shifted in and collided with MADE THAT WAY.

 

The greyhound FRENCH IDOL was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

SULZANTI @ STUD EASTER TROPHY HEAT 2 520M

SPLIT IMAGE, YAMANTO and INDY’S CHANT were best to begin.  KNIGHTS TEMPLAR and BOOM WARRIOR were slow out.  Entering the back straight SPLIT IMAGE shifted out which tightened the racing room of INDY’S CHANT causing that greyhound to be checked.  BUTCHULLA BOY which was trailing was checked as a consequence.  Approaching the turn into the front straight SPLIT IMAGE crossed over the heels of BOOM WARRIOR and was momentarily hampered.

SULZANTI @ STUD EASTER TROPHY HEAT 3 520M

FAR FROM FEAR was best to begin.  DARCYS FANTASY was tightened for racing room shortly after the start, checked and lost ground.  Approaching the turn out of the front straight UP THE ATTITUDE shifted in and made contact with HARA’S HAWK causing that greyhound to be checked and to lose ground.  CARDIAC KING, DARCYS FANTASY and FINITO which were all trailing were checked to varying degrees.  In the back straight FINITO contacted the heels of TRENTY’S ROSE and was checked as a consequence.

SULZANTI @ STUD EASTER TROPHY HEAT 4 520M

Even start.  Shortly after the start BREMER was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Leaving the front straight BELLA NARCISSUS shifted in and tightened the racing room of BREMER causing that greyhound to be checked, which then shifted out abruptly coming into contact with TUAVASA SHEK, causing that greyhound to be checked.  ALL FORCE and SUNNYSIDE JAY which were trailing were checked as a consequence.  TUAVASA SHEK commenced to give ground in the back straight and finished a considerable distance from the remainder of the field.

 

The greyhound TUAVASA SHEK was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off hind back muscle and was stood down for a period of 28 days.

MINNIE IMPACT was best to begin.  WAR PICTURE was slow out.  Approaching the turn into the back straight CHEVALEIR NUIT was tightened for racing room, checked and lost some ground.

BRUCE MACMILLAN BAKER – BIKING STAKES 3/4th GRADE 520M

HOPE’S MAGIC was best to begin.  KNAVE was slow out.  Rounding the turn into the back straight SERENE STAR shifted out which hampered GOODBYE HUG.

 

The greyhound SERENE STAR was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

CBRE INDUSTRIAL CUP BEST 8 520M

IONA CHAMPION was best to begin.  LADY ABIGAIL was slow out.  Leaving the front straight GRAND ROMAN shifted off the heels of VEUVE and veered out sharply as a consequence.  LADY ABIGAIL which was racing to its outside was severely checked as a result of this incident.  Leaving the back straight LADY ABIGAIL crossed the heels of GRAND ROMAN and was momentarily hampered.  Entering the front straight ELUSIVE DESIRE and FABULOUS BILL bumped on several occasions.

LADY PERLITA was best to begin.  Entering the back straight LADY PERLITA shifted out which hampered CRAZY VIXON.

DARCY’S CURSE and FABULOUS CYNDIE were best to begin.  Approaching the turn into the back straight EL CHAD checked off the heels of FABULOUS CYNDIE.  Leaving the back straight FABULOUS CYNDIE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost momentum.  Rounding the home turn FABULOUS CYNDIE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  DARCY’S CURSE commenced to give ground leaving the back straight.

 

The greyhound FABULOUS CYNDIE was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound DARCY’S CURSE was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off side pin and off side dew claw and was stood down for a period of 14 days.
