Stewards Trial 1 – 520m

The greyhound CRAZY VIXON performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 520m in a time of 29.93and is now cleared all tracks except Brisbane until after 18 May 2016.

 

The greyhound BLACK COBIA performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 520m in a time of 30.10 and is now cleared all tracks except Ipswich.

 

Return to Racing Trial 1 331M

The greyhound HAPPY HASWELL performed a satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 2 over the distance of 331m in a time of 18.96

 

The greyhound ROSIE KNOCKS performed a satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 1 over the distance of 331m in a time of 19.88.

 

The greyhound SERETTA performed a satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 1 over the distance of 331m in a time of 19.64.

 

The greyhound GEM EXPRESS performed a satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 3 over the distance of 331m in a time of 19.76.

 

RACE REPORTS

 

1.

UBET – DOWNLOAD THE APP MAIDEN 520M

Even start.  IN THE CROSSFIRE shifted in, in the front straight on the 1st occasion bumping DELICATE HARRY in onto WESTERN QUINN, resulting in DELICATE HARRY being checked and losing ground.  IN THE CROSSFIRE and WESTERN QUINN continued to bump for the length of the straight on the 1st occasion resulting in both IN THE CROSSFIRE and WESTERN QUINN becoming unbalanced and losing ground.  ZALHANI raced wide out of the front straight on the 1st occasion.  IN THE CROSSFIRE checked off the heels of WESTERN QUINN and lost some ground on the turn into the back straight.  ZALHANI and SHEZA RULER raced wide in the back straight.  SHEZA RULER checked off the heels of IN THE CROSSFIRE and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.

 

Stewards advised trainer Mr. R Palmer that the greyhound ZALHANI would be charged under Rule 69 (B) Failing to Pursue with injury, 14 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 520m all tracks.  The greyhound ZALHANI was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off side hock and was stood down for a period of 14 days.

PREPARE YOURSELF was best to begin.  FROSTY BROWN was marginally slow to begin.  MAGIC MINSTREL and BLUE JOY bumped shortly after the start resulting in MAGIC MINSTREL becoming unbalanced and losing ground.  BLUE JOY checked off the heels of NORDOC MAGIC and lost ground on the turn out of the front straight on the 1st occasion.  BERT’S SPECIAL checked across the heels of DESPERADO BOY on the turn out of the front straight resulting in BERT’S SPECIAL racing wide and bumping NORDOC MAGIC who was forced to race wide and lost ground as a result.  FROSTY BROWN and MAGIC MINSTREL bumped on the turn out of the front straight resulting in FROSTY BROWN losing ground.  BERT’S SPECIAL checked across the heels of NORDOC MAGIC and lost ground on the turn into the back straight.  NEDGO GIRL knuckled and lost ground in the back straight.  NEDGO GIRL checked off the heels of BLUE JOY and lost some ground on the turn into the home straight.  DESPERADO BOY and BERT’S SPECIAL raced wide into and down the home straight.  MAGIC MINSTREL shifted out to race wide in the home straight causing some inconvenience to DESPERADO BOY.

 

The greyhound NEDGO GIRL was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the near hind toe and was stood down for a period of 7 days.

SULZANTI @ STUD NOVICE 520M

The start of this race was delayed 1.5 minutes due to overseas thoroughbred racing.  BELLA LEE was best to begin.  My FIRST SIZE, KNEW YOU WOULD and GAGAN GIRL bumped shortly after the start.  KNEW YOU WOULD, TREBLIG LUCIA and GAGAN GIRL raced wide on the turn out of the front straight on the 1st occasion.  BUSH SPIRIT checked across the heels of MY FIRST SIZE and lost some ground on the turn into the home straight.  KNEW YOU WOULD raced wide into the home straight.  BELLA LEE and ALL BECAUSE bumped on several occasions in the home straight resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing some ground.

 

The greyhound GAGAN GIRL was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.  Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. J Ogden in relation to the disappointing performance of the greyhound.  Mr. Ogden informed stewards that this was the 1st start the greyhound has had over the 520m and he was also disappointed with the performance.  He further stated that the greyhound races competitively over the 431 and 460m journeys and he would not be starting the greyhound in future 520m races.

GLEN GALLON @ STUD 3/4th GRADE 520M

KATHIE’S FLASH was best to begin.  GREAT KNOCK THAT was tightened for racing room between SHOTOTSU and BUTCHULLA BOY on the turn out of the front straight on the 1st occasion, resulting in GREAT KNOCK THAT losing ground.  SHOTOTSU shifted out forcing BUTCHULLA BOY to race wide on the turn out of the front straight resulting in some inconvenience to DON’T DOUBLE UP.  MADE THAT WAY checked off the heels of BUTCHULLA BOY and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  SHOTOTSU and BUTCHULLA BOY bumped on the turn into the home straight, resulting in BUTCHULLA BOY losing some ground.

GARRARD’S HORSE & HOUND 4/5th GRADE 600M

Even start with CIGAR SAM slow to begin.  LAURYN’S BEST and SMOKEM UP SMOKEY bumped on the turn out of the back straight, resulting in LAURYN’S BEST losing some ground.  LAURYN’S BEST and SMOKEM UP SMOKEY bumped on the turn into the home straight.  LAURYN’S BEST and SMOKEM UP SMOKEY bumped on several occasions in the front straight in the run to the finish.

SKY RACING 5th GRADE HEAT 1 520M

YOUR DEAL was best to begin.  BAZZA’S ISSUE and ALPHA MIMOS bumped as the start was effected.  Shortly after SHANAE’S MAGIC bumped ALPHA MIMOS resulting in ALPHA MIMOS losing ground.  ALLEZ DE BRAVE and MUGGED ON TOUR bumped in the front straight on the 1st occasion.  ALLEZ BE BRAVE, MUGGED ON TOUR, ALPHA MIMOS and BAZZA’S ISSUE all bumped heavily in the front straight on the 1st occasion, resulting in ALPHA MIMOS becoming unbalanced and losing ground.  BAZZA’S ISSUE shifted out on the turn out of the front straight on the 1st occasion resulting in ALLEZ DE BRAVE checking across its hindquarters, becoming unbalanced and losing considerable ground.  ALPHA MIMOS raced wide on the turn out of the front straight on the 1st occasion.  JETT CLASS and YOUR DEAL bumped on the turn into the home straight resulting in YOUR DEAL losing some ground.  YOUR DEAL was tightened for racing room between JETT CLASS and SHANAE’S MAGIC entering the home straight resulting in YOUR DEAL losing ground.  ALPHA MIMOS raced wide in the back straight.  MUGGED ON TOUR and BAZZA’S ISSUE bumped in the front straight just prior to the finish line.  ALPHA MIMOS raced wide in the home straight.

 

The greyhound YOUR DEAL was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

EVENTS @ BRISGREYS 5th GRADE HEAT 2 520M

ART OF CONFUSION was best to begin.  OREO DELIGHT and ARABELLA bumped as the start was effected resulting in OREO DELIGHT knuckling over and losing some ground.  ART OF CONFUSION shifted out to race wide on the turn out of the front straight on the 1st occasion resulting in ARABELLA also racing wide.  LEADFOOT EXPRESS and FEAR THE RECALL bumped on the turn into the back straight, resulting in LEADFOOT EXPRESS losing ground.  BRALYN AMY checked off the heels of ARABELLA and lost ground on the turn prior to entering the back straight, resulting in interference to ART OF CONFUSION.  ARABELLA and BRALYN AMY bumped on the turn into the home straight.  OREO DELIGHT and LEADFOOT EXPRESS raced wide in the home straight.

UBET – THE NEW TAB 5th GRADE HEAT 3 520M

Even start with SMOKING PAWS slow to begin.  CAN OF SPRITE, MR. BANG BANG and ALPHA ACHILLES bumped shortly after the start.  MR. BANG BANG, CAN OF SPRITE, WATTA STEP UP and REFUND REQUIRED all bumped on the turn out of the front straight on the 1st occasion resulting in WATTA STEP UP becoming unbalanced and losing ground.  CAN OF SPRITE was also inconvenienced.  MR. BANG BANG and REFUND REQUIRED bumped heavily on the turn out of the front straight resulting in REFUND REQUIRED almost falling causing interference to WATTA STEP UP and CAN OF SPRITE.  TAYTO shifted out on the turn into the back straight bumping ALPHA ACHILLES and forcing that greyhound to race wide.  DOOLEY’S HOBO shifted out on the turn into the home straight bumping SMOKING PAWS causing some inconvenience to both greyhounds.

 

The greyhound REFUND REQUIRED was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

Even start with NO WAY ARNI and FLYING CIRCUS slow to begin.  SO KAWAII and JUST SPIFFING bumped in the front straight on the 1st occasion.  SO KAWAII and SMOKE AND MIRROR bumped in the front straight on the 1st occasion with some inconvenience to GOOD GIRL JANICE.  PASSIVE PROTEST, GOOD GIRL JANICE and SMOKE AND MIRROR bumped on the turn out of the front straight on the 1st occasion.  NO WAY ARNI and PASSIVE PROTEST bumped on the turn out of the front straight resulting in PASSIVE PROTEST becoming unbalanced and shifting out and causing some inconvenience to GOOD GIRL JANICE.  BELLA NARCISSUS checked off the heels of SMOKE AND MIRROR and lost ground prior to entering the back straight.

Even start with NOT WORTH IT, ROYAL ALBERT and IRINKA SHANE slow to begin.  RAISE THE ALARM and WILDASH WILDBOY bumped on the turn into the back straight.  NOT WORTH IT checked off the heels of IRINKA SHANE and lost ground on the turn into the back straight.  FABULOUS GARY checked off the heels of RAISE THE ALARM and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight, resulting in interference to IRINKA SHANE.  RAISE THE ALARM and WILDASH WILDBOY bumped entering the home straight.  WILDASH WILDBOY and RAISE THE ALARM bumped just prior to the finish line resulting in RAISE THE ALARM losing ground.

 

The greyhound SLASHIN’ PETE was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
