TRIALS

Stewards Trial 1 – 520m

The greyhound AWESOME WILLS performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 520m in a time of 30.53 and is now cleared to nominate all tracks.

 

Stewards Trial 2 – 520m

The greyhound ROSABEL performed a satisfactory Blinkers trial over the distance of 395m in a time of 23.08.

 

The greyhound BILL’S MAGIC performed a satisfactory 6 month trial over the distance of 395m in a time of 23.42.

 

RACE REPORTS

 

1.

UBET – DOWNLOAD THE APP MAIDEN 520M

MODEL TEE was best to begin.  JAYDEN’S A STAR, ARIA and HUNTER’S A STAR all bumped shortly after the start resulting in HUNTER’S A STAR becoming unbalanced and losing ground.  ARIA lost considerable ground.  JAYDEN’S A STAR lost ground.  SHEZA BEAR shifted in across the heels of MODEL TEE on the turn out of the front straight resulting in SHEZA BEAR falling causing interference to MODEL TEE and BENMESSO and resulting in severe interference to DON’T KNOCK PAT and HUNTER’S A STAR.  DON’T KNOCK PAT also fell as a result of this incident.  LEEROY ROGUE raced onto the heels of MODEL TEE onto the turn out of the back straight resulting in MODEL TEE losing considerable ground.  HUNTER’S A STAR raced wide in the home straight.

 

The greyhound DON’T KNOCK PAT was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound SHEZA BEAR was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound LEEROY ROGUE was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

General tightening occurred shortly after the start resulting in COMPLETE CONTROL, TURN AND BURN and MAGIC MINSTREL all being checked and losing ground.  COMPLETE CONTROL checked off the heels of MAGIC MINSTREL and lost ground on the turn out of the front straight.  MAGIC MINSTREL and ALL BECAUSE raced wide in the back straight.  BELLA LEE and ALL BVECAUSE bumped on the turn into the home straight resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing ground.  MAGIC MINSTREL raced wide in the home straight.

 

The greyhound COMPLETE CONTROL was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Stewards advised trainer Mr. G Gilbert that the greyhound TURN AND BURN would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 2nd offence, 3 months plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 520m all tracks.

SULZANTI @ STUD 5th GRADE 520M

INSIDE PASS was best to begin.  BAZZA’S ISSUE jumped awkwardly as the start was effected and lost some ground.  ALPHA ACHILLES and NO WAY ARNI bumped shortly after the start resulting in NO WAY ARNI losing ground.  MUMMA’S HOPE was tightened for racing room between TAYTO and ALPHA ACHILLES and lost ground in the front straight on the 1st occasion.  TAYTO and ALPHA ACHILLES bumped on the turn out of the front straight resulting in TAYTO losing some ground.  TAYTO and MUMMA’S HOPE bumped on the turn into the back straight.  MUMMA’S HOPE and ALPHA ACHILLES bumped on the turn into the home straight. NO WAY ARNI checked across the heels of BAZZA’S ISSUE and lost ground on the turn into the home straight.

 

The greyhound TAYTO was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.  Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. M Hay in relation to the poor performance of the greyhound.  Mr. Hay advised that the was disappointed with the greyhound’s run and he was of the opinion that the greyhound would win.  Mr. Hay advised that his family had supported the greyhound in tonight’s race and that he would monitor the greyhound’s condition over the next couple of days.

GLEN GALLON @ STUD 3/4th GRADE 520M

Even start with IRINKA SHANE marginally slow to begin.  RATATAT, FAST BEAN and FINITO raced tight in the front straight on the 1st occasion resulting in FAST BEAN being tightened for racing room and losing ground prior to winning post on the 1st occasion.  BUTCHULLA BOY and SENOR’S MISTRESS bumped on the turn out of the front straight.  RATATAT, SHOTOTSU and FINITIO bumped heavily on the turn into the back straight resulting in SHOTOTSU being checked and losing considerable ground, also resulting in interference to BUTCHULLA BOY.

 

The greyhound RATATAT was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

GARRARD’S HORSE AND HOUND 0 – 3 WINS 600M

REPTAR was best to begin.  SANDAVE BELLAIRE was slow to begin.  General tightening occurred on the turn into the front straight on the 1st occasion resulting in GENERAL HUNTER and UNIQUE AFFAIR becoming unbalanced and losing ground.  SANDAVE BELLAIRE was tightened for racing room and checked off the hindquarters of UNIQUE AFFAIR.  BERT’S SPECIAL shifted out on the turn into the front straight on the 1st occasion bumping GENERAL HUNTER causing this greyhound some inconvenience and forcing it to race wide.  GRIFFIN raced wide into the front straight on the 1st occasion.  GENERAL HUNTER checked off the heels of BERT’S SPECIAL and lost ground on the turn out of the front straight.  BERT’S SPECIAL raced wide on the turn into the back straight.  GRIFFIN and GENERAL HUNTER raced wide in the home straight.

SKY RACING 5th GRADE 520M

Even start.  WILBY DUSTY and JETT CLASS bumped as the start was effected.  CAN OF SPRITE checked across the heels of JETT CLASS and lost ground on the turn out of the front straight.  MISS BECKY SAM and MADAM MEDUSA bumped on the turn out of the front straight resulting in MADAM MEDUSA losing ground and causing interference to JETT CLASS.  MADAM MEDUSA checked off the heels of JETT CLASS and lost ground on the turn into the back straight. MISS BECKY SAM and MADAM MEDUSA bumped just prior to the finish line.

 

The greyhound WILBY DUSTY was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

YOUR DEAL was best to begin.  RUM RAMBLER raced wide in the back straight.  IRONBAR JILL checked off the heels of RUM RAMBLER and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  RUM RAMBLER raced wide in the home straight.  YOUR DEAL shifted out on the turn into the home straight to race wide down the home straight forcing IRONBAR JILL to race wide.

UBET – THE NEW TAB 5th GRADE FINAL 8 520M

SHANAE’S MAGIC was best to begin.  DASH TA FAME, JUST SPIFFING, FLYING CIRCUS and SMOKING PAWS were all slow to begin.  FLYING CIRCUS and JUST SPIFFING bumped shortly after the start.  Shortly after DASH TA FAME shifted out and bumped JUST SPIFFING onto FLYING CIRCUS.  JUST SPIFFING and FLYING CIRCUS bumped continually approaching the turn out of the front straight on the 1st occasion resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing ground.  DASH TA FAME shifted out across the heels of SMOKING PAWS on the turn out of the front straight forcing FLYING CIRCUS to race wide into the turn.  JUST SPIFFING and DASH TA FAME raced wide in the back straight.  JUST SPIFFING shifted out across the heels of SMOKING PAWS in the front straight causing some inconvenience to SPRITLY LADY.

GLEN GALLON @ STUD 5th GRADE 520M

Even start with CAPTAIN’S KNOCK slow to begin.  PETITE ZIP ZIP, SMOKE AND MIRROR and HARD HAT MICK all bumped shortly after the start resulting in SMOKE AND MIRROR losing ground.  CAPTAIN’S KNOCK and WATTA STEP UP bumped approaching the turn out of the front straight resulting in WATTA STEP UP becoming unbalanced causing inference to PETITE ZIP ZIP who almost fell and also caused interference to TABBERER. SMOKE AND MIRROR also suffered inconvenience and became unbalanced and raced wide on the turn out of the straight.  CAPTAIN’S KNOCK checked off the heels of HARD HAT MICK and lost ground on the turn out of the front straight resulting in interference to EGYPTIAN MISS.  WATTA STEP UP checked across the heels of ART OF CONFUSION on the turn into the home straight.  CAPTAIN’S KNOCK raced wide in the home straight.

GARRARD’S HORSE AND HOUND 4/5th GRADE 395M

ANTI AMIGO was best to begin.  CLASSIC TRADER jumped awkwardly and lost ground as the start was effected.  ANTI AMIGO crossed from a wide position approaching the 1st turn after the start tightening WILDASH WILDBOY onto ISA STAR onto ALPHA MIMOS, resulting in these 3 greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing ground.  ALPHA MIMOS checked off the heels of WILDASH WILDBOY and became unbalanced and shifted out causing interference to ISA STAR and MIDNIGHT HUNTER.  ALPHA MIMOS raced wide in the back straight.  NINE HUNDRED checked off the heels of TASER SHOCK and contacted the running rail, resulting in NINE HUNDRED losing considerable ground on the turn out of the back straight.  ALPHA MIMOS raced wide into the home straight.  ALPHA MIMOS raced wide in the home straight.

 

The greyhound NINE HUNDRED was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT IRONBAR JILL 28/04/2016

Trainer A. Sommerfield informed stewards of the greyhound’s post race recovery from its engagement on Thursday 28 April.  A.Sommerfield attributed the poor performance to its pre race excitement and behaviour in the boxes.  There were no apparent abnormalities post race and as a result of this the greyhound will not be spelled as first suggested but rather will race on Monday 9 May.
