stewards’ trial over the distance of 395m in a time of 22.71 and is now

– DOWNLOAD THE APP MAIDEN HEAT 1 395M The start of this race was delayed 3
minutes due to a technical issue with the photo finish equipment. Even start. SPRING VALE was slow to begin. Approaching the turn into the back straight
STEVIE’S JEWEL and NOIRE CHERIE were both tightened for racing room, checked
and lost ground. LISA ROSE HI was
checked as a consequence and lost ground.
Entering the back straight NOIRE CHERIE was tightened for racing room,
checked and lost ground. In the back
straight SHAYLOR BART was tightened for racing room, checked across the heels
of NAGUS and momentarily lost its balance, stumbled losing considerable
ground. STEVIE’S JEWEL which was
trailling was checked as a consequence. |

begin. Approaching the turn into the
back straight PENDITA and AUSSIE VALE were both tightened for racing room,
checked and lost ground. Leaving the
back straight ROPE A DOPE contacted the hindquarters of AUSSIE VALE causing that
greyhound to be severely checked and lose considerable ground. SHAYLOR PAUL which was racing to its
outside was checked as a consequence.
In the back straight REINHOLD and NOT A WORD collided causing NOT A
WORD to be checked and lose ground. |

SULZANTI @ STUD MAIDEN FINAL 395M Even
start with the exception of JACKSON FIVE which was slow to begin. Approaching the turn into the back straight
ELLIE’S LAST, HIRED GOON, ZAP’S ZIP and SHEZ A SONG all raced tight resulting
in all greyhounds to be checked to varying degrees. ELING FEELING which was racing to the
outside of SHEZ A SONG was severely checked, fell and took no further part in
the race. The
greyhound ELING FEELING underwent a post race Veterinarian examination and no
apparent injuries were found. |

GLEN GALLON @ STUD NOVICE 395M Even start. Approaching the turn into the back straight
RANI BENZ was tightened for racing room, checked, shifted out and made
contact with CIGARS ON ICE causing that greyhound to be severely checked. BLAZING BENJI, which was racing to the
outside of BLAZING BENJI, was severely checked as a consequence. SPEEDY’S MATE which was trailling was
checked as a consequence. FONIC FLYER
which was trailling these greyhounds was checked as a consequence. |

HORSE AND HOUND NOVICE 395M Even start. Approaching the turn into the back straight
SHAYLOR HARRY was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. In the back straight SHAYLOR HARRY shifted
out and carried OPPORTUNE KNOCKA out onto HARRY’S LIGHTNING which was checked
as a consequence. |

SKY RACING 5th GRADE HEAT
1 395M SON OF PRADA, NEEDY AND GREEDY and
GUNNER SUCCEED were best to begin.
AZTEC FLASH was slow out.
Shortly after the start GAGAN NANCY was tightened for racing room,
checked and lost ground. Entering the
back straight HARA’S HAWK improved onto the heels of SPILLING SECRETS and was
checked as a consequence. Rounding the
home turn SPILLING SECRETS and GAGAN NANCY bumped. The greyhound SON OF PRADA underwent a post race Veterinarian
examination and no apparent injuries were found. When questioned over the performance of the
greyhound trainer Mr. G Holmes advised that SON OF PRADA was having its 1st
race start since 21 March 2016 and had trailled well leading up into today’s
race and he was expecting a forward showing.
He stated the SON OF PRADA races best when on the lure and in his view
is not a strong greyhound and has had a tendency to give ground over the
concluding stages. He further stated
that 395 would be the maximum distance he would like run the greyhound
over. He stated that in his view the field that SON
OF PRADA was racing in today was of superior quality and whilst he rated the
greyhound’s chances well he did not support it in today’s event. Stewards noted his explanation however,
instructed him to advise them if there was anything to come amiss with the
greyhound in that upcoming days. |

a pre race Veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found and
passed fit to start. Even start with the exception of
HARA’S SAMUEL and HARA’S BLAZE which were both slow to begin. Rounding the turn out of the back straight
SWITCH BLADE checked over the heels of GOLD TOTAL and was momentarily hampered. |

GALLON @ STUD 5th GRADE HEAT 2 395M GOOD BOY SEAMUS and POWER JET were
best to begin. Approaching the turn
into the back straight IBRA CADABRA improved onto the hindquarters of
FABULOUS TRAV causing that greyhound to be severely checked and fall taking
no further competitive part in the race.
IBRA CADABRA was checked as a result of this incident. Leaving the back straight THOMAS ROSE HI
was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. The greyhound HURT underwent
a post race Veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

GOLD CUP HEATS TOMORROW 5th GRADE HEAT 3 395M Even start. Shortly after the start BARRA TRIP was
tightened for racing room, checked and lost momentum. Entering the back straight COOL CREDIT
shifted out and bumped ZABDON LA ROWSEY causing that greyhound to be checked
and lose ground. Leaving the back
straight PURE BEAUTY was tightened for racing room, checked and lost
ground. Approaching the turn into the
front straight ZABDON LA ROWSEY was tightened for racing room, checked and
fell as a consequence and took no further competitive part in the race. COOL CREDIT which was racing to outside was
checked as a consequence. The greyhound ZABDON LA ROWSEY underwent
a post race Veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. |
