TRIALS

Stewards Trial 1 – 520m

The greyhound GUY FAWKES performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 520m in a time of 30.38 and is now cleared all tracks.

 

Stewards Trial 2 – 600m

The greyhound CIGAR SAM performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 600m in a time of 34.93 and is now cleared all tracks except Brisbane until after 8 June 2016.

 

RACE REPORTS

 

1.

UBET – DOWNLOAD THE APP MAIDEN HEAT 1 520M

SMASHNIAK BARC and FLASH VENTURE were best to begin.  SANRICO ROSIE was extremely slow out.  Shortly after the start WALLY KAZAM and ARIA bumped resulting in WALLY KAZAM being checked and lose ground.  Approaching the turn out of the front straight SMASHNIAK BARC was tightened for racing room, shifted out and made contact with the hindquarters of RUN LIKE JARROD, resulting in both greyhounds being checked and lose ground.  TOVENAAR, ARIA and BISHOP’S LASS which were all trailling were checked as a consequence and lose valuable ground.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight BISHOP’S LASS and SANRICO ROSIE collided resulting in both greyhounds to be severely checked.  ARIA which was trailling was hampered as a consequence.  Rounding the turn into the front straight RUN LIKE JARROD shifted out and bumped WALLY KAZAM, which in turn shifted out and bumped TOVENAAR resulting in both TOVENAAR and WALLY KAZAM to be checked and lost ground.  TOVENAAR raced wide over the early stages of the race.

Even start with the exception of WHERE’S HOPE which was very slow to begin.  Shortly after the start DON’T WEAKEN shifted out and bumped HONEY HORNET which resulted in that greyhound being checked and racing wide.  Soon after the start STUBBORN MISS was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  HONEY HORNET raced wide in the back straight.  Approaching the turn into the front straight STUBBORN MISS was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Entering the front straight WHERE’S HOPE and MODEL TEE collided.

SULZANTI @ STUD NOVICE 520M

UNIQUE KALEESI was best to begin.  Shortly after the start SMACK DAB was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Approaching the turn out of the front straight SMACK DAB contacted the heels of MIA MYA MO resulting in both greyhounds to be checked.  LUCKY MARLOW which was trailling SMACK DAB was checked as a consequence.  In the front straight in the run to the finish SMACK DAB contacted the heels of WHERE’S TEJAY and was momentarily hampered.

 

The greyhound SMACK DAB underwent a post race Veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

GLEN GALLON @ STUD NOVICE 520M

UNIQUE AFFAIR and SMASHNIAK SMASH were best to begin.  CINCINNATI JUICE was very slow to begin.  Shortly after the start SO SABRINA was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Approaching the turn out of the front straight UNIQUE AFFAIR was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Leaving the front straight CINCINNATI JUICE and LASTANGO were both tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Approaching the turn into the back straight CINCINNATI JUICE contacted the heels of GUN POWER and was checked as a consequence.  UNIQUE AFFAIR which was trailling was checked as a result of this incident.  Entering the back straight WINSMIT was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Rounding the turn into the front straight UNIQUE AFFAIR and GUN POWER collided.  CINCINNATI JUICE which was trailling was hampered as a consequence.

Even start.  Shortly after the start WILBY DUSTY was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Approaching the turn out of the front straight TRICKSTER’S SON was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Approaching the turn into the back straight THIS TIME MADDIE and BROTHER GLENN collided resulting in THIS TIME MADDIE being checked and lose ground.  Shortly after MASTER CORSAIR contacted the hindquarters of THIS TIME MADDIE resulting in both greyhounds to be severely checked.

TIPPING.BRISGREYS.COM 0 – 3 WINS 600M

SMASHNIAK MARCY was best to begin.  Rounding the turn into the front straight on the 1st occasion SUKHOI shifted out and bumped IN THE CROSSFIRE resulting in both greyhounds being checked.  Entering the back straight MUMMA’S HOPE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  In the back straight CASHPOT contacted the heels of JUST SPIFFING and was momentarily hampered.

GLEN GALLON @ STUD 5th GRADE 600M

Even start with the exception of MR. REALITY, which went up with the lids.  Approaching the turn into the front straight on the 1st occasion MISS HUSSY was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.

SKY RACING 5TH GRADE HEAT 2 520M

CHEEKY CHEECH and TARMAC BLACK were best to begin.  Shortly after the start CHEEKY CHEECH and SMASHNIAK CLASS bumped resulting in SMASHNIAK CLASS being checked and lose ground.  Approaching the turn out of the front straight GOOD CALL PAUL was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Rounding the turn out of the front straight YES GERONOMO shifted out and made contact with OCTOBER SPRING resulting in both greyhounds being checked.  CHEEKY CHEECH raced wide in the back straight.  SPRITLY LADY which was racing to its outside was hampered as a consequence.

 

The greyhound GOOD CALL PAUL  a underwent a post race Veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off side pin and was stood down for a period of 7 days.

GARRARD’S HORSE AND HOUND 5th GRADE HEAT 3 520M

SIMPLY MAGIC was best to begin.  CONVEX was slow to muster speed in the early stages of the race.  Approaching the turn out of the front straight CLASSY BARCY was tightened for racing room, shifted out and made contact with DOOHAN TIME, which then shifted out and made contact with RISE ABOVE IT which was racing to its outside, resulting in DOOHAN TIME and RISE ABOVE IT to be severely checked and lose considerable ground.  CONVEX which was trailling those greyhounds was checked as a consequence.  Approaching the turn into the front straight UNIQUE GHOSTY checked over the heels of SIMPLY MAGIC and was momentarily hampered.

Even start with the exception of KNAVE which was slow to begin.  Shortly after the start FABRICATED was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Approaching the turn into the back straight UNIQUE MOTIVE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.
