The start of this race was delayed by 2 races due to the tractor suffering a breakdown on the track.

FAST XARA and ZABDON NUGGET were best to begin.  In the back straight MICRO MADNESS was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Leaving the back straight NOT A WORD contacted the hindquarters of FAST XARA resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  FLYING PRINCESS which was trailling was checked as a consequence.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight MICRO MADNESS raced wide.  NO MORE FEAR which was racing to its outside was checked as a consequence.

A track inspection after the running of this race revealed that there was damage to the track which was unrepairable.  With concerns for the animal welfare of the greyhounds and in and consultation with the club representative the remainder of the race meeting was abandoned.
