TRIALS

Stewards Trial 1 – 395m

The greyhound ONE ATE ZERO performed a satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 2 over the distance of 395m in a time of 23.82.

 

The greyhound TOP CLASS RUBY performed a satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 2 over the distance of 395m in a time of 24.23.

 

Stewards Trial 1 – 520m

The greyhound RUM RAMBLER performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 520m in a time of 30.59 and is now cleared all tracks.

 

The greyhound COOKIE NO CREAM performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 520m in a time of 30.64 with an off side blinker and is now cleared all tracks except Brisbane until after 24 August 2016.

 

The greyhound NO CALLARATAH performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 520m in a time of 30.40 and is now cleared all tracks.

 

The greyhound ZALHANI performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 520m in a time of 30.65 without blinkers and is now cleared all tracks except Brisbane until after 28 August 2016.

 

RACE REPORTS

 

1.

UBET – DOWNLOAD THE APP MAIDEN HEAT 1 520M

HERO HAYDOS was best to begin.  SWEET TALK was slow out.  Approaching the turn out of the front straight SWEET TALK was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Leaving the back straight EGYPTIAN KAHN was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  In the early part of the home straight FROSTY O’REILLY, SWEET TALK and RASH ACTION all raced tight.  In the front straight during the run to the finish FROSTY O’REILLY turned its head and made muzzle contact with SWEET TALK.

 

The greyhound MATT SAID THIS underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the chest and off hind leg and was stood down for a period of 21 days.

 

Stewards advised trainer Mr. R Attard that the greyhound FROSTY O’REILLY would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 520m all tracks.

BIG DIPPA, CAPTAIN TIL, NORM SAID THIS and CAPTAIN LOUIE were best to begin.  SHAYLOR HULA, SATAN’S GIFT and WHOOP BANG were marginally slow to begin.  Leaving the front straight SATAN’S GIFT and WHOOP BANG raced wide.

 

The greyhound NORM SAID THIS underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

TIP YA CAP was best to begin.  IVANELROYS’ MATE and CALAMITY JANE were both slow to begin.

 

The greyhound NOT ANOTHA GINGA underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

GLEN GALLON @ STUD 0 – WINS 600M

OUT OF PUNCH, GLEBE KID and REFUND REQUIRED were best to begin.  AZTEC FLASH and LANCASTER BOMBER were slow to begin.  Approaching the turn into the front straight on the 1st occasion ARE YOU THERE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Entering the front straight on the 1st occasion AZTEC FLASH and HERE FOR YOU collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  SUGAR RAY ROSSO which was racing to the outside of HERE FOR YOU was checked as a consequence and lost ground.

GARRARD’S HORSE AND HOUND 5th GRADE HEAT 1 520M

Even start.  Shortly after the start FAST AS, WISH YOU WILL, SINGLETON, LITTLE FONZIE and STILL COUNTING were all tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.

SKY RACING 5th GRADE HEAT 2 520M

Even start.  Shortly after the start SIDBO was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Leaving the front straight LUCKY CATCH improved onto the heels of TRUE VIKING shifted out and collided with SO SABRINA resulting in SO SABRINA being checked and lose ground.  DAZE FLYBY and FAST BEAN which were racing to the outside of SO SABRINA were severely checked as a result of this incident.  Approaching the turn into the back straight LUCKY CATCH improved onto the heels of TRUE VIKING and was checked as a consequence.  SIDBO which was trailling made heavy contact with LUCKY CATCH resulting in LUCKY CATCH to be severely checked and lose considerable ground.  FAST BEAN, GLENALLON ZULU and SO SABRINA were hampered as a result of this incident.

 

The greyhound LUCKY CATCH underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

MELODY SERENADE and DON’T DOUBLE UP were best to begin.  Leaving the front straight MESSIDONNA CLOUD was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Shortly after KEROMA STORM and EL CHAD collided.

 

The greyhound MESSIDONNA CLOUD underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

GLEN GALLON @ STUD 5th GRADE HEAT 3 520M

Even start.  Shortly after the start GELANTIPY GOLD shifted out and bumped MIGHTY NIMROD resulting in that greyhound to be checked and lose ground.  Approaching the turn into the back straight PUNCH RIGHT OUT, ZAFONIC DANCER and ANGELIC MISS raced tight resulting in ZAFONIC DANCER to be checked and lose ground.  Shortly after PUNCH RIGHT OUT and ANGELIC MISS collided resulting in PUNCH RIGHT OUT to be checked and to lose ground.

 

The greyhound ZAFONIC DANCER underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

GARRARD’S HORSE AND HOUND 5th GRADE HEAT 4 520M

ELEVEN MADISON and SMASHNIAK TASER were best to begin.  Shortly after the start AWESOME CLOUD was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Approaching the turn into the back straight DOGMATIC was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  OKA’S ANGEL and COSADO SUN which were trailling were checked as a consequence.

 

The greyhound DOGMATIC underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.  When questioned Mr. G Friend trainer’s representative into the performance of the greyhound explained that DOGMATIC usually races best when it leads and somewhat after a slow beginning in today’s event suffered some interference through the early part of the race which he was of the view contributed to the overall finish position of 4th place.  He said he was satisfied with the way the greyhound finished off the race making up many lengths over the final 150m.  Stewards noted his explanation.

 

The greyhound AWESOME CLOUD underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the back and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

Even start with the exception of COOPOLLY BEACH which was marginally slow to begin.  Through the 1st turn CASH EXPLOSION was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  ISLAND FANTASY and TELEX FINGERS which were trailling were hampered as a result of this incident.
