UBET – DOWNLOAD THE APP MAIDEN 520M

The greyhound SHY GAMBLER underwent a pre race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found and was passed fit to start.

 

Even start with the exception of SMART MARLOW which was slow to begin.  Shortly after the start SHY GAMBLER was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.   Approaching the turn out of the front straight FROSTY ZERO and SMART MARLOW collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  Leaving the back straight GAB TAR improved onto the heels of SHY GAMBLER and was momentarily hampered.  MISS PEREGIAN and GAB TAR raced wide in the back straight.

GARRARD’S HORSE AND HOUND MAIDEN FINAL 520M

CAPTAIN TIL was best to begin.  SWEET TALK, SATAN’S GIFT and DUSTY GAMBLER were slow to begin.    Shortly after the start FERAL LAD and HERO HAYDOS collided resulting in both greyhounds to be momentarily hampered.  Rounding the turn out of the front straight BIG DIPPA improved onto the hindquarters of HERO HAYDOS resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  Shortly after SWEET TALK improved onto the hindquarters of FERAL LAD resulting in both greyhounds to be severely checked and lose considerable ground.  In the back straight DUSTY GAMBLER checked across the heels of CAPTAIN TIL and was momentarily hampered.  Approaching the turn into the front straight CAPTAIN LOUIE and DUSTY GAMBLER bumped resulting in DUSTY GAMBLER being momentarily hampered.

LIL’S ROSE and STEVE’S JEWEL were best to begin.  TIP YA CAP and LASTANGO were marginally slow to begin.  Approaching the turn out of the front straight TIP YA CAP was tightened for racing room, checked and almost blundered losing some ground.  Rounding the turn out of the front straight ZINGIBER GUNTUR shifted out and collided with MADAM LOOPSY resulting in both greyhounds to be checked.  LASTANGO which was racing to the outside of MADAM LOOPSY was checked as a consequence.  All greyhounds lost ground as a result of this incident.  Approaching the turn into the back straight TIP YA CAP improved onto the heels of LIL’S ROSE and was checked as a consequence.  LIL’S ROSE and LASTANGO raced wide in the back straight.  TIP YA CAP was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground leaving the back straight.  Rounding the turn into the front straight TIP YA CAP and MADAM LOOPSY collided.

 

The greyhound TIP YA CAP underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the near hind webbing and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

GLEN GALLON @ STUD 0 – 3 WINS 600M

ARE YOU THERE, OUT OF PUNCH and SPEEDY’S MATE were best to begin.  BUSH SPIRIT, DUSTY WAY and ARIA were marginally slow to begin.  Rounding the turn into the front straight on the 1st occasion ALPHA NIKE and SPEEDY’S MATE collided over a number of times resulting in both greyhounds to be hampered.  Shortly after DUSTY WAY tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight HERE FOR YOU and SPEEDY’S MATE collided resulting in HERE FOR YOU to be severely checked and fall taking no further competitive part in the race.  BUSH SPIRIT which was trialling was severely checked as a result of this incident.

 

The greyhound HERE FOR YOU underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Stewards questioned Mr. D Turley the trainer of OUT OF PUNCH in respect to the greyhound’s action over the concluding stages.  After taking evidence from Mr. D Turley and viewing the official film stewards could not be comfortably satisfied that OUT OF PUNCH had turned its head prior to the wining post and therefore was given the benefit of the very grave doubt.

SKY RACING 5th GRADE 520M

COSADO SUN and PREMIER JET were best to begin.  Leaving the back straight STILL COUNTING was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  In the run to the finish STILL COUNTING and FABRE FORCE collided over a number of occasions resulting in both greyhounds to be hampered as a consequence.

 

The greyhound FAST AS underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.  Stewards after interviewing trainer Mr. D Turley in respect to the performance of FAST AS stated that the greyhound is best suited when racing over the 600m distance and intends to where possible race the greyhound over that distance.  He further stated that it had not suffered any interruptions to its program leading up to today’s race and whilst he was confident the greyhound would race well it is his expectations that it will improve over the 600m distance.  Stewards noted Mr. Turley’s explanation.

PYRO BOB was best to begin.  Shortly after the start CLASSY BARCY and HER FAULT were tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Rounding the turn out of the front straight CLASSY BARCY and OKA’S ANGEL collided resulting in OKA’S ANGEL being checked and lose ground.  Rounding the turn into the front straight OKA’S ANGEL, PLENTY OF PUNCH and CLASSY BARCY raced tight resulting in all greyhounds to be momentarily hampered.

 

The greyhound HER FAULT underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the near side Achilles tendon and was stood down for a period of 14 days.

SULZANTI @ STUD 4/5th GRADE 520M

Even start with the exception of ANGELIC MISS which was marginally slow to begin.  Leaving the front straight SKITTISH EXPRESS and TREVON’S FURY collided resulting in SKITTISH EXPRESS to be severely checked and lose considerable ground.  SPLIT SYSTEM which was trailling was checked as a consequence and lost ground.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight ANGELIC MISS was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  ANOTHER HASSLER was slow to muster speed in the early stages of the race.

 

The greyhound SKITTISH EXPRESS underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

BRISGREYS.COM 5th GRADE FINAL 520M

Even start with the exception of LITTLE FONZIE and TEE SNOW which were marginally slow to begin.  Approaching the turn out of the front straight HOOP DREAMS was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Leaving the front straight SMASHNIAK TASER, SIDBO and LITTLE FONZIE raced tight resulting in all greyhounds being momentarily hampered.  TEE SNOW, ELEVEN MADISON and HOOP DREAMS which were trailling were all checked as a consequence and lost ground.  Approaching the turn into the back straight LITTLE FONZIE and SIDBO collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lost ground.  HOOP DREAMS which was trailling was checked as a consequence.  TEE SNOW which was racing to the outside of HOOP DREAMS was hampered as a consequence.

UBET – THE NEW TAB 5th GRADE 520M

DAZE FLYBY was best to begin.  ZAFONIC DANCER, FLY WEIGHT and ICE GAMBLER were marginally slow to begin.  Approaching the turn out of the front straight FLY WEIGHT was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Approaching the turn into the back straight SPRING MARSHALL shifted in and brushed the running rail.  In the back straight SPRING MARSHALL checked across the heels of MIGHTY NIMROD.  In the front straight SPRING MARSHALL and ICE GAMBLER collided resulting in both greyhounds being momentarily hampered.

 

When questioned Mr. P Ruetschi the trainer of SPRING MARSHALL reported that the greyhound was having its 1st start since 30 July 2016 and had worked well leading up to today’s race and was expecting a forward showing.  He stated that SPRING MARSHALL is a greyhound that needs to race with confidence and after receiving some early interference in his view was detrimentally to its overall performance.  He further stated that SPRING MARSHALL will improve with race fitness and he will be racing the greyhound consistently in the near future.  Stewards noted his explanation.

 

When questioned Mr. J Dart trainer’s representative of ICE GAMBLER into the performance of the greyhound stated that ICE GAMBLER is an inexperience greyhound having only 5 race starts and in his view it will improve with further racing.  He stated that the greyhound had worked well leading up to today’s race and was expecting a forward showing.  Stewards noted his explanation.

Even start with the exception of BRAE HEART which was slow to begin.  Rounding the turn into the back straight BRAE HEART was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  SPRING JAMES raced wide in the back straight.
