WAVELL SERVICES CLUB NOVICE 520M LOONY’S
MATE was best to begin with BILLY BEAN and NAMROD slowly away. Approaching the turn out of the home
straight LOONY’S MATE and SHUNT MAN collided causing LOONY’S MATE to shift
out checking BILLY BEAN. On the turn
BILLY BEAN checked off the heels of SOARING HAWKE. In the back straight BILLY BEAN was
wide. Entering the turn out of the
back straight SHUNT MAN, BILLY BEAN and SOARING HAWKE were all racing tight
and bumping. Entering the home
straight BILLY BEAN an SOARING HAWKE collided. The
greyhound LOONY’S MATE underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no
apparent injuries were found. |

GRADE HEAT 1 520M EGYPTIAN MISS and GRAND ROMAN were best to begin with the
remainder evenly away. Entering the
turn out of the home straight THIS TIME MADDIE checked off the heels of
ZABDON FERRARI causing THIS TME MADDIE to fall checking SUITE ALEXIS. On the turn out of the home straight BEC’S
DIAMOND turned its head outwards marring UNIQUE AFFAIR causing UNIQUE AFFAIR
to check SUITE ALEXIS. On the turn
into the home straight UNIQUE AFFAIR turned its head out and made muzzle
contact with BEC’S DIAMOND causing those 2 greyhounds to race wide. The greyhound THIS TIME MADDIE underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. Stewards advised trainer Ms. R Franks that the greyhound
BEC’S DIAMOND would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 1st offence,

away. On the turn out of the home
straight FLYING CIRCUS checked off the heels of AZARIAH. Entering the back straight RICH ‘N’ WILD
and FEAR THE RECALL collided. On the
turn out of the home straight FLYING CIRCUS checked off the heels of FEAR THE
RECALL causing FLYING CIRCUS to fall.
In the home straight FEAR THE RECALL was wide. The greyhound FLYING CIRCUS underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the near
side pin and was stood down for a period of 7 days. |
