HORSE AND HOUND NOVICE 520M NAMROD
was best to begin. BILLY BEAN was slow
to begin. Shortly after the start
SWIFT ENFORCER was tightened for room and checked. On entering the 1st turn NAMROD
and REINHOLD bumped resulting in both runners becoming momentarily
unbalanced. Through the turn into the
back straight SWIFT ENFORCER checked out across the heels of KIKEM
STORMY. Out of the back straight into
the turn SNOOPY GROOVY was tightened for room, checked and shifted out. Shortly after SNOOPY GROOVY shifted out and
collided with BILLY BEAN. Entering the
front straight SWIFT ENFORCER and SNOOPY GROOVY collided. On entering the front straight BILLY BEAN
turned its head inwards and failed to pursue the lure with due commitment. NAMROD race wide in the back and front
straight. Stewards
advised trainer Mr. J Edward that the greyhound SPRING DOTTIE would be
charged under Rule 69 (B) Failing to Pursue with injury, 1st
offence, the greyhound underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and was
found to have suffered an injury to the off side pin and was stood down for a
period of 14 days, plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 520m all tracks |

SERVICES CLUB 5th GRADE 520M THURSDAY WIZARD was best to begin. Shortly after the start REPTAR was
tightened for room and checked.
Shortly after JOSIE RUMBLE was tightened for room and hampered. JOSIE RUMBLE then shifted in and tightened
the running of GOOD YEAR, which was checked.
Approaching the 1st turn JOSIE RUMBLE was tightened for room
and checked. Shortly after UNIQUE
MOTIVE and TORPEDO MAN collided resulting in TORPEDO MAN being checked and
forced out wider on the track. On
entering the back straight TORPEDO MAN contacted the heels of GOOD YEAR and
was hampered. In the front straight THURSDAY
WIZARD checked out across the heels of JOSIE RUMBLE which shifted in. GOOD YEAR raced wide in the back and front
straights. |

MANLY HOTEL 5th GRADE 520M SIDBO was
best to begin. RUSTY’S IMAGE was
tightened for room at the start and checked.
Shortly after the start RUM RAMBLER was tightened for room and checked
out across the heels of SIDBO and collided with OKA’S ANGEL, resulting in
that runner being checked. On entering
the 1st turn ARABELLA checked out across the heels of SIDBO and
collided with INNER WISDOM which was forced out wider on the track. RUSTY’S IMAGE which was trailing was
hampered as a result. Through the turn
into the front straight BEACH FRONT improved onto the heels of ARABELLA and
was hampered. RUSTY’S IMAGE and RUM
RAMBLER raced wide in the back and front straights. The greyhound
ARABELLA underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and no apparent
injuries were found. |

PORTERS PLAINLAND HOTEL 5th GRADE 520M MY SPRITE and GELANTIPY GOLD were best to begin. Approaching the 1st turn NIGHT
TIME LOVER checked out across the heels of LUCKY SALLY. Through the turn into the back straight
BUBBLE GUPPY and MY SPRITE bumped on a number of occasions. Out of the back straight into the turn SOFT
GAMBLER was tightened for room, checked, shifted out and collided with ZABDON
LAMBO resulting in that runner being checked and forced out wider on the
track. Through the turn into the front
straight GELANTIPY GOLD and BUBBLE GUPPY collided. Shortly after SOFT GAMBLER checked out
across the heels of ZABDON LAMBO and lost ground. Over the concluding stages of the event
LUCKY SALLY failed to pursue the lure with due commitment. Stewards advised trainer Mr. J Jones that the greyhound
would be charged under Rule 69 (A) Failing to Pursue, 1st offence,
28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 520m all tracks. |

HOTEL 5th GRADE 600M SPRING BONANZA was best to begin. JUST SPIFFING was slow to begin. Approaching the 1st turn OCTOBER
SPRING, TARKS BLACK ROSE, NOT LIKE TOMMY, CHEEKY CHANCE and RENOUF’S MAGIC
all collided resulting in all runners being checked. JUST SPIFFING which was trailing shifted
out wider on the track to avoid those runners’ heels. Over the concluding stages of the event
SPRING BONANZA was tightened for room and checked. The greyhound TARKS BLACK ROSE underwent a post-race
veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

WITTCOTT HOTEL 3/4th GRADE 520M KINLOCH BEACH was best to begin. KNIGHTS TEMPLAR was slow to begin. Out of the back straight into the turn
SHADEENA clipped the heels of KINLOCH BEACH and fell taking no further competitive
part in the event. Shortly after the
start KINLOCH BEACH checked across the heels of EL CHAD. SHYAN YAHOO raced wide in the back
straight. The greyhound SHADEENA underwent a post-race veterinarian
examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

ASPLEY LEAGUES CLUB
BEST 8 520M SWAP YA and ABBY’S MAGIC were best to begin. On entering the 1st turn ABBY’S
MAGIC and BLUEY’S SHOUT bumped resulting in both runners being hampered. SERENE STAR which was trailing was hampered
as a result. Through the turn into the
back straight BLUEY’S SHOUT and SERENE STAR collided. Shortly after BLUEYS’ SHOUT contacted the
heels of SERENE STAR, fell and took no further competitive part in the
event. COBBER IN MOTION which was trailing
was checked as a result. The greyhound BLUEY’S SHOUT underwent a post-race
veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

turn EGYPTIAN MISS was tightened for room and checked. Shortly after BARRA FUN checked out across
the heels of ZABDON FERRARI taking ASTON JADORE out wider on the track. Through the turn into the back straight
ALOTA AMY checked out across the heels of ASTON JADORE and was hampered. Out of the back straight into the turn
ALOTA AMY was tightened for room and checked.
Shortly after LOGAN CITY was tightened for room and checked. ASTON JADORE which was trailing was forced
to check out across that runner’s heels. |

5th GRADE 520M VEGAS BOUND and FLYING CIRCUS were slow to begin. BLUE SQUIRREL was best to begin. On entering the 1st turn RICH
‘N’ WILD bumped GRAND ROMAN and shifted out wider on the track. FLYING CIRCUS which was trailing was forced
to check out across that runner’s heels and race wider on the track. Out of the back straight into the turn
KNAVE and CHEEKY FREYER collided and were both checked as a result. Through the turn into the front straight
KNAVE, VEGAS BOUND and RICH ‘N’ WILD all collided resulting in KNAVE and
VEGAS BOUND being checked. Over the
concluding stages of the event KNAVE was tightened for room and checked. GRAND ROMAN raced wide through the back
straight and through the turn into the front straight. |

5th GRADE 520M CEASER DE KAHN was best to begin. TREVON’S FURY was slow to begin. On entering the 1st turn IMA
COWBOY collided with HONEY TWIST resulting in IMA COWBOY falling taking no
further competitive part in the event.
Through the turn into the back straight ARDVARK and CEASER DE KAHN
collided resulting in both runners being hampered. ISSY COOL which was trailing was checked as
a result. The greyhound IMA COWBOY underwent a post-race
veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off
side pin and was stood down for a period of 10 days. |
