TRIALS

Stewards Trial 1 – 520m

The greyhound BEC’S DIAMOND performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 520m in a time of 30.30 and is now cleared to nominate all tracks except Brisbane until after 28 September 2016.

 

The greyhound ISLA’S STYLE performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 520m in a time 31.03 and is now cleared all tracks.

 

The greyhound BOOTY BEACH performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 520m in a time 30.04 and is now cleared all tracks except Brisbane until after 21 September 2016.

 

Stewards Trial 2 – 331m

The greyhound PINOT NOIR performed a satisfactory 6 month trial over the distance of 331m in a time of 19.50.

UBET – DOWNLOAD THE APP MAIDEN 520M

BRIGHT SATELLITE and INVAR STAR were best to begin.  Leaving the front straight BIG BOY BATINA improved onto the heels of VALERIE MERLE, resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  Approaching the turn into the back straight BIG BOY BATINA and BOBBY THE BEAR collided over a number of occasions resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  Leaving the back straight KING PEDRO checked across the heels of BRIGHT SATELLITE and was momentarily hampered.

GARRARD’S HORSE AND HOUND MAIDEN 520M

MAD GIRL was best to begin.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight STANKY LEG was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Shortly after VELOCITY KALINA was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Approaching the turn into the back straight AL BUZZARD and VELOCITY KALINA bumped on several occasions resulting in both greyhounds to be checked.  Entering the back straight STANKY LEG was tightened for racing room, checked and fell as a consequence taking no further competitive part in the race.  Leaving the back straight MAD GIRL was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.

 

The greyhound STANKY LEG underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound AL BUZZARD underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound VELOCITY KALINA underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

GAB TAR, ONE DOLLAR and TOOKA TURN were best to begin.  SWEET TALK was slow to begin.  ARDEN STREET came up with the lids and was extremely slow to begin.  Leaving the front straight SMART MARLOW was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Shortly after GAB TAR was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Rounding the turn out of the front straight ARDEN STREET and SWEET TALK collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  SMART MARLOW which was trailling was checked as a consequence and lost ground.  GAB TAR raced wide for the majority of the event.  In the front straight WHOOP BANG and ONE DOLLAR collided resulting in ONE DOLLAR to be checked and lose ground.  ARDEN STREET which was trailling was checked as a consequence.

GLEN GALLON @ STUD NOVICE 520M

LIL’S ROSE and KIKEM ZEST were best to begin.  In the front straight on the 1st occasion FLASHING FERGO and HARA’S SAM collided resulting in HARA’S SAM being checked and to lose ground.  Leaving the front straight FLASHING FERGO checked across the heels of LIL’S ROSE and raced wide.  HARA’S SAM and FLY WEIGHT which were racing to its outside were checked as a consequence and lost ground.  Approaching the turn into the back straight HARA’S SAM checked across the heels of FLASHING FERGO and was checked as a consequence.

SKY RACING 5th GRADE 520M

Even start with the exception of BATTY LOVES BEER which was slow to begin.  Leaving the back straight CHA CHA GEM and LARSIE LOU were tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Approaching the turn into the front straight HERE FOR YOU improved onto the heels of LARSIE LOU and was momentarily hampered.

 

The greyhound HERE FOR YOU underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.  When questioned trainer Mr. P Ruetschi in regards to the greyhound’s performance in tonight’s event, he stated that it was having its 3rd start back from a race fall at Albion Park on the 22 August 2016 and whilst he was confident that the greyhound would perform well he was somewhat disappointed with its overall performance.  He stated that it would be his intention going forward that he would be endeavouring to race HERE FOR YOU over the 600m which he believes is best suited to the greyhound.  Stewards whilst noting Mr. Ruetschi’s explanation advised him that they would be closely monitoring HERE FOR YOU racing performance in respect to the possibility of it being shy of other runners during the race.

MASTER CHA CHA was best to begin.  IMPOSSIBLE faltered shortly after the start and commenced to give ground badly to finish a considerable distance from the remainder of the field.  Rounding the turn out of the front straight ARE YOU THERE, HARA’S BLAZE, SNOW RUNNER, MAYWYN IF LUCKY and OUR CHALLENGE all raced tight resulting in all greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.

 

The greyhound IMPOSSIBLE underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the stomach muscles and was stood down for a period of 14 days.

SULZANTI @ STUD 5th GRADE FINAL 520M

EVIE’S ANGEL was best to begin.  OKA’S ANGEL, CALAMITY JANE and PREMIER JET were slow to begin.  PREPARE YOURSELF was tightened for racing room shortly after the start and lost ground as a consequence.  Leaving the front straight SEIZED ASSET improved onto the heels of SMASHNIAK MARCY resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.

CHEEKY CHANCE was best to begin.  Approaching the turn out of the front straight JUST LIKE ROSIE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Rounding the turn out of the front straight BIRKDALE BANDIT and MURBAH GOLD collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  KEROMA STORM which was trailling was checked as a consequence and lost ground.

CLINT’S CARAVAN WAREHOUSE 5th GRADE 520M

BALLISTICS and HARA’S BRACELET were best to begin.  GOOD ODDS RICK and IZZY ELECTRIC were slow to begin.  Approaching the turn out of the front straight MAYWYN PETTYCASH was tightened for racing room, came into contact with the running rail and was checked as a consequence.  FAST BEAN, GOOD ODDS RICK and IZZY ELECTRIC which were racing to its outside of MAYWYN PETTYCASH was checked as a result of this incident.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight BALLISTICS improved onto the heels of HARA’S BRACELET, which resulted in HARA’S BRACELET to be checked and lose ground.

 

The greyhound MAYWYN PETTYCASH underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound HARA’S BRACELET underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the near side wrist and was stood down for a period of 7 days.

REFUND REQUIRED was best to begin.  GEORGE GALLON, REPTAR and SCAR’S BROTHER were slow to begin.  Rounding the turn out of the front straight FABULOUS CYNDIE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.

 

The greyhound FABULOUS CYNDIE underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound REPTAR underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.
