AGRO’S THUNDER and TRISHA NOLAN were best to begin. SURF CATCHER was slow to begin. Upon entering the 1^st turn INDIAN GIVER, COURSE YOU WILL, TRISHA NOLAN, FATHER NOEL and HARA’S LEISHA were tightened for room resulting in INDIAN GIVER, COURSE YOU WILL, TRISHA NOLAN, FATHER NOEL to be checked and HARA’S LEISHA to be severely checked, fall and take no further competitive part in the event. SURF CATCHER which was trailing was hampered as a result. In the back straight AGRO’S THUNDER was wide. In the front straight FATHER NOEL was wide.

The greyhound HARA’S LEISHA underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

BLACK SCORPION was best to begin. LORD LACHLAN was slow to begin. Entering the 1^st turn PANTS PIRATE and STRONG STEP collided resulting in both greyhounds being hampered. Leaving the turn into the back straight RUN KAY RUN was tightened for room and checked. Leaving the back straight into the turn THIRTY EIGHT improved onto the heels of KABUKURU resulting in both greyhounds being checked and forced wider on the turn. In the back straight PANTS PIRATE was wide. In the front straight PANTS PIRATE and STRONG STEP were wide.

3.	ERIC THOMSON MEMORIAL MAIDEN HEAT 1 520M SATAN’S GIFT and SWIFT NIMROD were slow to begin. Shortly after the start GUNNADOO REV and STAR BEACH were tightened for room and checked. In the back straight on the 1^st occasion COSMIC COPY and ROCK BOTTOM were tightened for room and checked. Upon entering the 1^st turn COSMIC COPY was tightened for room and checked. Rounding 1st turn COSMIC COPY, ROCK BOTTOM and SWIFT NIMROD were tightened for room and checked. STAR BEACH which was trailing was hampered as a result. Over the concluding stages of the event HERO HAYDOS improved onto the of ROCKIN’ ALL OVER, resulting in ROCKIN’ ALL OVER to be momentarily hampered. In the back straight SWIFT NIMROD was wide.

4.	ERIC THOMSON MEMORIAL MAIDEN HEAT 2 520M FIRE IN EDEN was slow to begin. Shortly after the start COWGIRL LUCY, SAPPHO, DYNAMO TO EXCEL and GEAR UP were tightened for room and checked. Upon entering the turn out of the front straight DYNAMO TO EXCEL checked outwards across the heels of COSMIC CAPERS and ran wide on the turn. Entering the turn out of the back straight COWGIRL LUCY was tightened for room and checked. Rounding the turn into the front straight SAPPHO checked outwards across the heels of COWGIRL LUCY. DYNAMO TO EXCEL was wide in the back straight. DYNAMO TO EXCEL and FIRE IN EDEN were wide in the front straight.

NOTHING TO GIVE was slow to begin. Shortly after the start MORAYFIELD SWIFT and COSMIC DENLYN collided resulting in both runners being checked. Leaving the front straight into the turn AUSSIE DIAMOND checked across the heels of ONE DOLLAR. Shortly after MORAYFIELD SWIFT and COSMIC DENLYN collided resulting in both greyhounds being checked. Rounding the turn out of the front straight MORAYFIELD SWIFT and NOTHING TO GIVE collided resulting in both greyhounds being hampered. Leaving the turn into the back straight MORAYFIELD SWIFT was tightened for room and checked. Leaving the back straight into the turn ONE DOLLAR and NOTHING TO GIVE collided resulting in ONE DOLLAR to be hampered. Through the turn into the front straight COSMIC DENLYN improved onto the heels of ONE DOLLAR resulting in both greyhounds being checked. MORAYFIELD SWIFT which was trailing was hampered as a result and shifted wider on the turn. In the front straight NOTHING TO GIVE was wide.

ERIC THOMSON MEMORIAL MAIDEN HEAT 4 520M

BITTA BLUE was slow to begin. Shortly after the start BITTA BLUE and AMUS UNLEASHED collided resulting in both greyhounds being checked. Entering the turn out of the front straight DREAM BLASTER was tightened for room and severely checked. Shortly after JURY and HURRY UP FACE collided resulting in JURY to be checked and HURRY UP FACE to fall and take no further part in the event. BITTA BLUE which was trailing was checked as a result. BITTA BLUE was wide in the back and front straights.

The greyhound BITTA BLUE underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

The greyhound HURRY UP FACE underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the near fore leg and humanely euthanised.

Shortly after the start PIZARRO, MINNIE MARTINI, SPECULATE and IMA RUNAWAY were tightened for room and checked. Entering the turn out of the front straight PIZARRO, MINNIE MARTINI, SPECULATE and IMA RUNAWAY were tightened for room and checked. Leaving the back straight into the turn MAD GIRL shifted inwards and made contact with the running rail. IMA RUNAWAY which was trailing was hampered as a result. SPECULATE was wide in the front straight. The greyhound MAD GIRL underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

8.	GARRARD’S HORSE AND HOUND BEST 8 395M NO JOCKEY NEEDED and FENRIR were slow to begin. Entering the 1^st turn WAZZA KING and KNOCK FOR ME were tightened for room and severely checked. NO JOCKEY NEEDED, BIRKDALE BEAUTY and FENRIR which were trailing were checked as a result. Leaving the back straight into the turn KNOCK FOR ME began to give ground and took no further part in the event. BIRKDALE BEAUTY was wide in the front straight. The greyhound KNOCK FOR ME underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off side pin and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

TRAV’S MAGIC and CURIOUS STYLE were slow to begin. Entering the 1^st turn KINGSBRAE CHOOKY and KINGSBRAE REDFOO were tightened for room and checked. Rounding the turn into the back straight KINGSBRAE REDFOO and FABULOUS KATIE were tightened for room and checked. Leaving the back straight into the turn KINGSBRAE CHOOKY and FABULOUS GARY were tightened for room and checked. CURIOUS STYLE which was racing to their outside was hampered as a result. Rounding the turn into the front straight FABULOUS KATIE was tightened for room and hampered. In the front straight KINGSBRAE CHOOKY was wide.

Entering the 1^st turn GOLD TOTAL was tightened for room and checked. Leaving the turn into the back straight GRAND DASH was tightened for room and checked. Leaving the back straight into the turn GOLD TOTAL improved onto the heels of SHAQTIN’S A FOOL resulting in SHAQTIN’S A FOOL to be checked. Over the concluding stages GOLD TOTAL and SHAQTIN’S A FOOL bumped on several occasions resulting in both runners to be hampered. In the front straight FEARSOME MISS and TAHLIA’S WAY were wide.

Rounding the turn into the front straight SHAYLOR HARRY and STANDOUT collided resulting in both greyhounds being checked. In the back straight CUPPA TEA KIWI, STANDOUT and LORD KIHAEL were wide.

POPULAR BELIEF was best to begin. CAPTAIN’S KNOCK was very slow to begin. Shortly after the start FABRE FORCE was tightened for room and checked. Upon entering the 1^st turn ZAFONIC DANCER was tightened for room and checked. Leaving the turn into the back straight FABRE FORCE shifted outwards making contact with the hindquarters of HARA;S LIGHTNING resulting in FABRE FORCE to be checked and HARA’ S LIGNTNING to be severely checked, fall and take on further part in the event. LITTLE RAMONA and ZAFONIC DANCER which were trailing were checked and shifted wider on the track as a result. Leaving the back turn CAPTAIN’S KNOCK was tightened for room and checked. In the back straight ZAFONIC DANCER and LITTLE RAMONA were wide.

The greyhound HARA’S LIGHNTING underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the near fore leg and was humanely euthanised.
