Stewards Trial 1 – 395m The greyhound SONIC
STICKA performed a satisfactory 6 month trial over the distance or 395m in a
time of 22.95. Stewards Trial 2 – 331m The greyhound KEYSTONE KAHN performed a
satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 331m in a time of 19.43 and
is now cleared all tracks. |

DOWNLOAD THE APP MAIDEN 520M Even
start. Approaching the turn out of the
front straight NOTHING TO GIVE, SIMMSY’S NINERON, PIZARRO and BOBBY THE BEAR
were tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. MISTER STUBBORN which was trailling was
checked as a consequence. Rounding the
turn out of the back straight MISTER STUBBORN and PIZARRO collided resulting
in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground. Passing the catching pen ROCK BOTTOM and
HERO HAYDOS collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose
ground. SPRING FORTE which was
trailling was checked as a consequence.
Entering the back straight PIZARRO was tightened for racing room,
checked and lost ground. |

ASPLEY LEAGUES CLUB
NOVICE 520M RED STEEL and HARA’S STORM were best to begin. Approaching the turn out of the front
straight WESTERN QUINN was tightened for racing room, checked and lost
ground. Leaving the front straight WAY
BEFORE YOU and SMART MARLOW collided resulting in WAY BEFORE YOU to be
checked and lose ground. VAGAS DE KAHN
which was trailling was checked as a consequence. Approaching the turn into the back straight
WESTERN QUINN, WAY BEFORE YOU and VAGAS DE KAHN raced tight resulting in WAY
BEFORE YOU being checked and lose ground.
Rounding the turn into the front straight RED STEEL and COOKIE NO
CREAM bumped resulting in RED STEEL being momentarily hampered. |

GARRARD’S HORSE AND HOUND NOVICE 520M The start of
this race was delayed when CYNO SNIP proved difficult to box. CYNO SNIP will be declared a ‘hard to box’
runner in future engagements. HARA’S SAM,
CYNO STEIN and INVAR STAR were best to begin.
CYNO SNIP and GALWAY ACHIEVER were slow out. In the front straight on the 1st
occasion JACOBY RAIDER and INVAR STAR collided resulting in JACOBY RAIDER
being checked and lose ground. Leaving
the front straight HARA’S SAM and CYNO STEIN collided resulting in both
greyhounds being checked and lose ground.
INVAR STAR which was racing to its outside of CYNO STEIN was checked
as a consequence and lost ground.
Shortly after HARA’S SAM, TIP YA CAP and CYNO STEIN collided resulting
in all greyhounds to be checked and lose ground TIP YA CAP shifted out as a
result of this incident and collided with JACOBY RAIDER and INVAR STAR
resulting in all greyhounds to be checked and lose ground. Entering the back straight TIP YA CAP and
INVAR STAR were tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Approaching the turn into the front
straight GALWAY ACHIEVER shifted out and collided with CYNO SNIP resulting in
both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground. CYNO SNIP and GALWAY ACHIEVER then raced
wide rounding the turn into the front straight. JACOBY RAIDER which was trailling was
checked as a consequence. The greyhound
JACOBY RAIDER underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to
have suffered an injury to the near fore foot and was stood down for a period
of 10 days. |

GLEN GALLON @ STUD 0 – 3 WINS 600M Even start with the exception of LANCASTER BOMBER which
was slow to begin. Rounding the turn
into the front straight on the 1st occasion SNOW RUNNER and LIL’S
ROSE bumped resulting in SNOW RUNNER to be momentarily hampered. |

CARAVAN WAREHOUSE 5th GRADE 520M Even start. Leaving
the back straight CAN OF SPRITE improved onto the heels of GOOD ODDS RICK
when that greyhound commenced to give ground. |

BRISGREYS.COM 5th GRADE 520M SIDBO, GOT A BROTHER and GUNNA WINK were best to
begin. Shortly after the start BAZZA’S
ISSUE and MASTER CHA CHA collided heavily resulting in both greyhounds to be
severely checked and lose considerable ground. Leaving the front straight TEE SNOW was tightened
for racing room, checked and lost ground.
Shortly after MASTER CHA CHA and BAZZA’S ISSUE collided resulting in
both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground. Leaving the back straight BAZZA’S ISSUE was
tightened for racing room and momentarily hampered. In the front straight TEE SNOW and ICE
GAMBLER collided resulting in TEE SNOW being checked and lose ground. When questioned into the performance of GUNNA WINK in
tonight’s event where the greyhound was successful as compared to its
previous start at Albion Park on 3 October 2016 where the greyhound finished
in 7th position trainer Ms. B Green reported that GUNNA WINK was
slow to begin at its previous start and had suffered interference rounding
the turn out of the front straight which in her view contributed to the
finishing position however, after receiving attention to its boxing and
starting manners during the week GUNNA WINK began on better terms than it had
at its previous start and therefore was able to lead throughout the race. Stewards noted Ms. B Green’s explanation. |

Shortly after the start PUNCH RIGHT OUT, REPTAR and KNEW YOU WOULD
were all tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Approaching the turn out of the front
straight KAY LEAVY was tightened for racing room, checked and lost
ground. SOOT SPRITE which was
trailling was checked as a consequence.
Entering the back straight SOOT SPRITE was tightened for racing room,
checked and lost ground. |

RACING 5th GRADE FINAL 520M SMACK DAB, CHA CHA GEM and RANI BENZ
were best to begin. BATTY LOVES BEER
and SPRING MARSHALL were slow to begin.
SMACKK DAB shifted out rounding the turn out of the front straight and
collided heavily with CAPTAIN TIL resulting in both greyhounds to be severely
checked and lose considerable ground.
Leaving the back straight SMACK DAB checked across the heels of BATTY
LOVES BEER and was momentarily hampered. The greyhound SMACK DAB underwent a
post race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury
to the off side pin and was stood down for a period of 10 days. |

SULZANTI @ STUD 5th
GRADE 520M SNAEKIN’ OUT and SIMPLY MAGIC were best to begin. DISCO DOLLY was slow to begin. Approaching the turn out of the front
straight KORONG was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.
Shortly after BUCKETTE and SHUNT MAN collided heavily resulting in both
greyhounds to be severely checked and lose considerable ground. KORONG and DISCO DOLLY were checked as a
consequence. The greyhound BUCKETTE underwent a post race veterinarian
examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

GRADE 520M Even start with the exception of NATURAL LAD which was
marginally slow to begin. In the front
straight on the 1st occasion NATURAL LAD, BEC’S DIAMOND and OUT OF
PUNCH were all tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Approaching the turn into the front
straight BEC’S DIAMOND and MADAMLOOPSY collided resulting in both greyhounds
to be checked and lose ground. |
