1.

UBET – DOWNLOAD THE APP MAIDEN HEAT 1 331M

The start was delayed when ONE DOLLAR proved difficult to box.  ONE DOLLAR will be given one more chance to be boxed in the correct manner.  Even start with the exception of AIN’T NO LADY which was slow to begin.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight RICHIE RICH and SMOOTH JAKE collided resulting in SMOOTH JAKE to be checked and lose ground.  SENOR WOLF which was trailling was checked as a consequence.  Shortly after AIN’T NO LADY improved onto the heels of SMOOTH JAKE, checked and shifted out and collided with VIKING AURO resulting in both AINT NO LADY and VIKING AURO to lose ground.  Approaching the turn into the front straight RICHIE RICH and SPRING NIPPER raced wide and bumped on several occasions rounding the turn into the front straight.  Entering the front straight SENOR WOLF and SPRING NIPPER collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked.  AIN’T NO LADY which was trailling was checked as a consequence and raced wide.

2.

ZILLMERE SPORTS CLUB MAIDEN HEAT 2 331M

The start of the race was delayed approximately 3 minutes due to an interstate harness race.

 

Even start.  Shortly after the start DOLLAR AND CENT stumbled and lost some ground.  COLD GAMBLER which was racing to its outside was checked as a consequence and lost ground.  Entering the back straight SLOW COACH was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Leaving the back straight MR. BLUE COMICS was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  COLD GAMBLER which was racing to its outside was momentarily hampered as a result of this incident.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight SLOW COACH checked across the heels of DOLLAR AND CENT and lost ground as a consequence.

Even start.  Leaving the back straight MASKED ZORRO and SHAYLOR CHERRY were tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.

GLEN GALLON @ STUD NOVICE 331M

The start of the race was delayed when FERNLEE STAR became difficult to box.  Trainer Mr. A Weise was reminded of his obligations in respect to not repositioning the greyhound once it was placed in the starting boxes.  Even start with the exception of ZABDON CHEVY and MOORE REVENGE which were marginally slow to begin.  Leaving the back straight AGRO’S THUNDER was momentarily tightened for racing room, shifted out and raced wide.  Shortly after SECRET SHAY ANNA was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.

CLINT’S CARAVAN WAREHOUSE NOVICE 331M

Even start.  Entering the back straight PANTS PIRATE, FOUND ON EBAY and HOOTALUNA were all tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  In the back straight FOUR TIN LIDS was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Approaching the turn into the front straight ZIP ALONG BOY raced wide.  Rounding the turn into the front straight FOUR TIN LIDS checked across the heels of FOUND ON EBAY and lost ground.

 

The greyhound FOUR TIN LIDS underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off hind leg and was stood down for a period of 7 days.

FOLLOW US ON FACEBOOK @ BRISGREYS 5th GRADE 331M

Even start with the exception of SERIOUSLY GRAND, MIDNIGHT DASHER and FARMOR I KNOW which were marginally slow to begin.  Entering the back straight INTERACTION was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  MIDNIGHT DASHER which was trailling was checked as a consequence.  Leaving the back straight DARK DEFENDER shifted out and raced wide.  MARG’S MEMORY and MIDNIGHT DASHER which were racing to its outside were checked as a consequence and raced wide.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight SERIOUSLY GRAND was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  ICY GIRL and FARMOR I KNOW which were racing to its outside were checked as a consequence and raced wide.  Approaching the turn into the front straight SERIOUSLY GRAND checked across the heels of FARMOR I KNOW shifted out and collided with DARK DEFENDER resulting in both greyhounds to be checked.  SERIOUSLY GRAND lost considerable ground as result of this incident.

 

The greyhound SERIOUSLY GRAND underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

7.

BRISGREYS.COM 3/4th GRADE 395M

Even start.  Shortly after the start FARMOR MAYHEM was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Through the 1st turn LITTLE FONZIE and FABULOUS WALL were tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Shortly after BLUE LEXUS was tightened for racing room, shifted out and made heavy contact with the hindquarters of FABULOUS ABBY resulting in FABULOUS ABBY being severely checked and fell as a consequence taking no further competitive part in the race.  BLUE LEXUS was severely checked as a result of this incident and lost considerable ground.  Approaching the turn into the front straight TRICKY TRON and KINGSBRAE CHOOKY collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.

 

The greyhound FABULOUS ABBY underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

SKY RACING BEST 8 395M

BOGIE LILLY was best to begin.  Through the 1st turn MR. SLY and WAZZA KING collided resulting in WAZZA KING to be checked and lose ground.  OKA’S ANGEL which was trailling was hampered as a consequence.  Rounding the turn into the back straight SUPER LUIGI was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Rounding the turn into the front straight HOWARD HENO was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Entering the front straight MR. SLY, WAZZA KING and ROYAL PRIZE raced tight resulting in all greyhounds to be momentarily hampered.

 

The greyhound SUPER LUIGI underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.  When questioned over the performance of SUPER LUIGI Mr. G Moore reported that the greyhound was having its 1st start since the 11 September 2016 and was up in weight and after receiving some interference in the early part of the race the greyhound never recovered as it raced wide for the majority of the event thereafter.  He stated that SUPER LUIGI races at its best over the Ipswich course and it would be his intention to race there wherever possible.  Stewards noted his explanation.

 

The greyhound WAZZA KING underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off side shoulder and was stood down for a period of 7 days.

9.

SULZANTI @ STUD 4th GRADE 395M

MR. WOODS was best to begin.  Leaving the back straight IONA MACHINE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground in the front straight during the run to the finish.  SONIC STICKA commenced to give ground in the front straight and fell taking no further part in the race.

 

The greyhound SONIC STICKA underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered cramping and was stood down for a period of 10 days.  Stewards advised trainer Mr. M Cuneo that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 71 Unsatisfactory Performance and must perform a satisfactory stewards’ trial 395m all tracks prior to nominating.

10.

MANLY HOTEL 5th GRADE 395M

Even start.  Through the 1st turn THRILLA STROKE, FLYING MAXINE, KAZEKO, QUINTASTIC, IMA TALENT and CELEBRITY INK raced tight resulting in all greyhounds to be checked to varying degrees losing ground.  Leaving the back straight QUINTASTIC improved onto the heels of FLYING MAXINE, was checked and fell as a consequence taking no further competitive part in the race.

 

The greyhound QUNITASTIC underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

11.

GARRARD’S HORSE AND HOUND 5th GRADE 395M

Even start with the exception of SPRINGFIELD BOY which was slow to begin.  Shortly after the start SHAQTIN’ A FOOL was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight SHAQTIN’ A FOOL checked across the heels of SHAYLOR ANDRE and lost ground.  Entering the front straight SHAQIN’ A FOOL turned its head and made muzzle contact with COSMIC COUGAR effectively marring the running of that greyhound.

 

Stewards advised trainer Mr. D McGrath that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 395m all tracks.

ASPLEY LEAGUES CLUB MASTERS 395M

Even start.  Through the 1st turn HOLLYWOOD HEARTS was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Approaching the turn into the front straight REDDY RANGER shifted out which hampered the running of GET ALIFEBOUY.

 

The greyhound HOLLYWOOD HEARTS underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off hind leg and was stood down for a period of 10 days.
