UBET – DOWNLOAD THE APP MAIDEN HEAT 1 395M

WAIKARIE SHAZ was best to begin.  DOLLAR AND CENT was slow to begin.  Shortly after the start SPRING NIPPER was tightened for room and hampered.  Through the turn into the back straight COWGIRL LUCY and GALLANT EXPLORER were both tightened for room and checked.  GALLON EXPLORER shifted out and collided with SHAYLOR RENE resulting in both runners being checked.  Out of the back straight into the turn MAY ROAD collided with the running rail and was checked.  SPRING NIPPER raced wide through the turn into the front straight.

 

The greyhound MAY ROAD underwent a postrace veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

ZILLMERE SPORTS CLUB MAIDEN HEAT 2 395M

DIAMOND JAKEY was best to begin.  DJANGO and ONE IN SIX was slow to begin.  Through the turn into the back straight GOLD DREAMER was tightened for room and checked.  SNOW GIRL, INDIAN GIVER and SKIP TO IT all collided resulting in all 3 runners being checked. INDIAN GIVER then shifted out and collided with DJANGO which in turn shifted out and collided with MA’S ROSE resulting in all runners being checked.  In the back straight GOLD DREAMER pulled up and took no further part in the event.  Through the turn into the front straight DJANGO raced wide.  Over the concluding stages of the event MA’S ROSE and INDIAN GIVER collided.

 

The greyhound DJANGO underwent a postrace veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound GOLD DREAMER underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the stomach muscles and was stood down for a period of 21 days.

GARRARD’S HORSE AND HOUND MAIDEN HEAT 3 395M

The start of this race was delayed when CURL THE WAVE proved difficult to box.  Stewards advised trainer Mr. W Bebbington that the greyhound CURL THE WAVE would have a warning placed on its boxing manners.

 

ANOTHER RED and WHITE EAGLE were best to begin.  BOGAN DANCER was slow to begin.  Through the turn into the back straight WHITE EAGLE and SHAKEY TANGO were both tightened for room and checked.  Shortly after BOGAN DANCER was tightened for room and hampered.  Out of the back straight into the turn BOGAN DANCER was tightened for room and hampered.  CURL THE WAVE raced wide in the back straight.  Through the turn into the front straight BOGAN DANCER checked out across the heels of SHAKEY TANGO.

 

The greyhound BOGAN DANCER underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. When questioned in regards to the performance of BOGAN DANCER trainer Mr. Lavis stated that the greyhound was disappointing in his opinion and had been beginning well in recent trials.  He added that in said trials BOGIE DANCER had been running times of 23.5 seconds.  He further added that due to being boxed for longer than usual due to the difficult boxing of CURL THE WAVE, in his opinion this had effected the greyhound’s start to the race. Stewards noted Mr. Lavis’ comments.

GLEN GALLON @ STUD MAIDEN FINAL 395M

WAIKARIE SYLVIE was best to begin.  At the start CASHMEERA and CIA KAHN bumped resulting in both runners being hampered.  Through the turn into the back straight FATHER NOEL was tightened for room and checked.  CASHMEERA and CIA KAHN which were both trailing were checked as a result.  Through the turn into the front straight DEREK checked out across the heels of CIA KAHN.  FATHER NOEL raced wide in the front straight.  DEREK raced wide in the back straight.

CLINT’S CARAVAN WAREHOUSE NOVICE 395M

ELLIE’S LAST was slow to begin.  Through the turn into the back straight HOOTALUNA and BARCIA’S HUNT were both tightened for room and checked.  Shortly after PANTS PIRATE, FOUR TIN LIDS and TEARAWAY MISSILE were all tightened for room and checked.  AGRO’S THUNDER and ELLIE’S LAST raced wide in the back straight.  PANTS PIRATE raced wide in the front straight.

SPRINGFIELD BOY and COSMO TRAV were slow to begin.  Shortly after the start RAGNAR LOTHBROK was tightened for room and checked.  Through the turn into the back straight LORD KIHAEL, POWERE OF PENNY and WHERE’S TEJAY all collided resulting in all runners being checked.  RAGNAR LOTHBROK which was trailing was hampered as a result.  Out of the back straight into the turn SPRINGFIELD BOY checked in across the heels of RAGNAR LOTHBROK.  Shortly after COSMO TRAV shifted in tightening the running of WHERE’S TEJAY and LORD KIHAEL resulting in both runners being checked.  Through the turn into the front straight LORD KIHAEL checked out across the heels of WHERE’S TEJAY.

 

The greyhound SPRINGFIELD BOY underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off side pin and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

Even start.  Through the turn into the back straight FABULOUS GARY checked in across the heels of POWER JET.  NO JOCKEY NEEDED shifted in and bumped POWER JET resulting in both runners being hampered.  BARRA FUN which was trailing was checked as a result.  Out of the turn into the back straight PLUM JAM was tightened for room and checked out across the heels of FABULOUS KATIE.  POWER JET and NO JOCKEY NEEDED which were trailing were both checked as a result.  POWER JET raced wide in the back and front straights.  Through the turn into the front straight BARRA FUN checked out across the heels of NO JOCKEY NEEDED.

Even start.  Shortly after the start ROYAL PRIZE, INNER WISDOM and BARRA TRIP all collided resulting in all 3 runners being hampered.  Out of the turn into the back straight INNER WISDOM was tightened for room and checked.  Out of the back straight into the turn BARRA TRIP, HARA’S SUMMER, BOGIE LILLY and ROYAL PRIZE all collided resulting in BOGIE LILLY, ROYAL PRIZE and BARRA TRIP being checked.  HARA’S SUMMER fell and took no further part in the event.  In the back straight BARRA TRIP and HARA’S SUMMER collided.

 

The greyhound HARA’S SUMMER underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off side wrist and was stood down for a period of 28 days.

SULZANTI @ STUD 5th GRADE 395M

HARA’S FLYER and BOGAN BABE were best to begin.  Shortly after the start DARK DEFENDER was tightened for room and hampered.  Through the turn into the back straight THRILLA STROKE and KYOTO KAHN collided resulting in THRILLA STROKE being hampered and KYOTO KAHN almost falling and being severely checked.  Out of the back straight into the turn FLASHMAN SAM was tightened for room and checked.  NAMROD raced wide through the turn into the front straight.  In the front straight HARA’S FLYER checked out across the heels of THRILLA STROKE.  Shortly after THRILLA STROKE shifted out and marred the running of DARK DEFENDER.

 

Stewards advised trainer Mr. S Hunt that the greyhound THRILLA STROKE would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 395m all tracks.

MANLY HOTEL 5th GRADE 395M

INTERACTION was slow to begin.  At the start CONVEX and FABULOUS TRAV bumped resulting in FABULOUS TRAV being hampered.  Shortly after the start LADY PERLITA and GET A LIFEBOUY bumped resulting in both runners being hampered.  CONVEX which was trailing was checked as a result.  Through the turn into the back straight MARG’S MEMORY shifted in tightening the running of BETTA BE RIGHT which was checked.  LADY PERLITA which was trailing was checked and forced out wider on the track.  On entering the back straight GET A LIFEBOUY tailed the field and took no further competitive part in the event.  Out of the back straight into the turn MARG’S MEMORY was tightened for room and checked.  FABULOUS TRAV raced wide in the front straight.

 

The greyhound SPRING DOTTIE underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off side hock and was stood down for a period of 14 days.

REGINA REWARD and CORY’S DIAMOND were slow to begin. FEARLESS DANCER was tightened for room and checked at the start. Through the turn into the back straight NIGHT TIME LOVER was tightened for room and checked. FEARLESS DANCER which was trailing collided with NIGHT TIME LOVER and was checked. REGINA REWARD was hampered as a result. Out of the back straight into the turn NOT ANOTHA GINGA was tightened for room and hampered. Through the turn into the front straight FEARLESS DANCER fell and took no further part in the event. NIGHT TIME LOVER raced wide in the front straight.

 

The greyhound FEARLESS DANCER underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off side pin and was stood down for a period of 7 days.

GLORIOUS WINTER and BLUE DEN were slow to begin. HARA’S HEAT and MASTER MAGOO bumped shortly after the start. Through the turn into the back straight GLORIOUS WINTER was tightened for room and checked out across the heels of BLUE DEN. In the back straight MASTER MAGOO checked in across the heels of LEGEND MATE. FEARSOME MISS and GLORIOUS WINTER raced wide in the front straight.
