BRISBANE CUP FRIDAY NIGHT DEC 9 MAIDEN HEAT 1 331M

Even start with the exception of AFTER GLOW and ENDLESS ROAD which were marginally slow to begin.  In the back straight ISLA’S REBEL was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Leaving the back straight ISLA’S REBEL contacted the hindquarters of TAKAIRANGI, both greyhounds were checked as a consequence.  QUICK AND LIVELY which was trailing was checked as a result of this incident.  Approaching the turn into the front straight ISLA’S REBEL and TAKAIRANGI collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.

ZILLMERE SPORTS CLUB MAIDEN HEAT 2 331M

Even start.  Entering the back straight BUNDY BUCKS was tightened for racing room, contacted the running rail and was checked as a consequence.  Shortly after POUNCING LILIE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  MAC VEE which was trailing made heavy contact with the hindquarters of POUNCING LILIE resulting in both greyhounds to be severely checked and to lose considerable ground.  Leaving the back straight FANTASY FREEZE shifted out and made contact with WOODY’S DREAM resulting in WOODY’S DREAM being checked and lose ground.

 

The greyhound POUNCING LILIE underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound MAC VEE underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound BUNDY BUCKS underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

Even start.  Entering the back straight RICHIE RICH was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Leaving the back straight HUNTING HILL was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight RICHIE RICH shifted out and collided with WOODY’S VISION resulting in both greyhounds to be severely checked and lose considerable ground.  Approaching the turn into the front straight ICEY MATILDA shifted out and collided with MAYFEATHER resulting in both greyhounds to be severely checked and lose considerable ground.  Rounding the turn into the front straight ICEY MATILDA and MAYFEATHER collided resulting in both greyhounds to be severely checked and lose considerable ground.  PACIFIC MOON which was trailing was severely checked as a consequence and lost ground.

 

The greyhound WOODY’S VISION underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

GLEN GALLON @ STUD MAIDEN FINAL 331M

Even start with the exception of YORKLEA DOLLY and SPRING NIPPER which were both slow to begin.  Entering the back straight FORGOTTEN ALOTA, HESPERIDES, PRINCESS IVY and WOODY’S GIRL were all tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  YORKLEA DOLLY which was trailing was checked as a consequence and lost ground.  In the back straight FORGOTTEN ALOTA was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Rounding the turn into the front straight FORGOTTEN ALOTA and SPRING NIPPER collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  Entering the front straight  YORKLEA DOLLY and WOODY’S GIRL collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.

CLINT’S CARAVAN WAREHOUSE NOVICE 331M

Even start.  Entering the back straight FOUND ON EBAY was tightened for racing room, checked and commenced to give ground to finish a considerable distance from the remainder of the field.  Approaching the turn into the front straight LEGEND MATE improved onto the hindquarters of ARETHA BELLA resulting in both greyhounds to be severely checked and lose considerable ground.  TRAV’S GIFT which was racing to the outside of LEGEND MATE was checked as a consequence and lost ground.  Rounding the turn into the front straight AGRO’S THUNDER was tightened for racing room.  Approaching the turn into the front straight AGRO’S THUNDER was tightened for racing room, checked, shifted out and raced wide.  COL’S INTEREST which was trailing was momentarily hampered.  Entering the front straight COL’S INTEREST and GET SHORTY bumped.

 

The greyhound ARETHA BELLA underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound FOUND ON EBAY underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the stomach muscles and was stood down for a period of 14 days.

Even start with the exception of BEETOWN BELLA which was marginally slow to begin.  Through the 1st turn JIGGLE SPLAT and MOORE REVENGE collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  Through the catching pen BEETOWN BELLA and WHERE’S CODY collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  BEETOWN BELLA raced wide leaving the back straight and entering the front straight.  Rounding the turn into the front straight IMPOSSIBLE and SIRRAH SIRRAH collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.

BRISGREYS.COM 3/4th GRADE 395M

Even start with the exception of JUICYLICIOUS.  Through the 1st turn PERFECT BART and DAVID’S MEMORY collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  Shortly after MR. WOODS was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  DAVID’S MEMORY which was trailing was checked as a consequence.

 

The greyhound PERFECT BART underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off side hip and was stood down for a period of 14 days.  Stewards questioned trainer Ms. S Hunt in relation to PERFECT BART’s actions rounding the turn out of the back straight where the greyhounds collided on a number of occasions with HOPE’S MAGIC.  After hearing evidence from S Hunt and viewing the official footage stewards could not be comfortably satisfied the greyhound had marred and was given the benefit of a grave doubt.

Even start.  Through the 1st turn ARABIAN MELODY, HOWARD HENO, OKA’S ANGEL and CHEVY BLUE BOY were all tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.

SULZANTI @ STUD 5th GRADE 331M

SOPHIE’S MATE was best to begin.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight EL’S ON SHOW commenced to give ground and finish a considerable distance from the remainder of the field.  Approaching the turn into the front straight TRELLY KNEELS turned its head and made muzzle contact with SOPHIE’S MATE resulting in both greyhounds to be severely checked and lose considerable ground.  GEORGE GALLON which was racing to the outside of SOPHIE’S MATE was checked as a consequence and raced wide.

 

The greyhound EL’S ON SHOW underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the near hind leg and was stood down for a period of 14 days.

 

Stewards advised trainer Mr. M Emery’s representative that greyhound TRELLY KNEELS would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trail 331m all tracks.

Even start with the exception of MAGIC MILLAH which was slow to begin.  Entering the back straight PREMIER HONEY was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Shortly after URBAN ENFORCER was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Leaving the back straight SAVA JET improved onto the heels of URBAN ENFORCER was checked out and raced wide as a consequence.  PREMIER HONEY which was racing to its outside was checked and raced wide as a result of this incident.  PREMIER HONEY and SAVA JET raced wide rounding the turn into the front straight.

Even start with the exception of CELEBRITY INK which was marginally slow to begin.  Entering the back straight WHERE’S TEJAY was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  CELEBRITY INK which was trailing was checked as a consequence and lost ground.

 

The greyhound POPULAR BELIEF underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.
