The greyhound CAMBLA BABY underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.  When questioned trainer’s representative Mr. S Bland was of the view that CAMBLA BABY missed the start and raced greenly throughout.  It was his opinion that the greyhound would benefit from the experience of racing here at Albion Park as it was having its 1st start at the track.  Mr. Bland stated it would be his intention to continue racing CAMBLA BABY at Bundaberg until it can gain some form which would be required to race at Albion Park.  With that undertaking stewards noted his explanation.

The greyhound TRISHA NOLAN underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.  When questioned trainer Mr. T Tzouvelis over the performance of the TRISHA NOLAN which started favourite ($2-60) on Ubet fixed prices, Mr. Tzouvelis stated that TRISHA NOLAN races best when its able to lead in its races and after colliding with RED STEEL in the early stages it was unable to cross to the lead which in his view was the overriding factor where the greyhound had finished in the event.  He further stated after suffering interference in the early and middle section of the race, the greyhound had raced up to its previous best time over the final section of the race. Mr. Tzouvelis indicated that he supported TRISHA NOLAN in the event to win and coupled it in trifecta wagers. Evidence was received from QRIC Betting Supervisor Mr. M Heffernan who reported that there was nothing untoward with the betting markets on this race, Stewards noted Mr. Tzouvelis’s explanation.

The greyhound MADAM’S FLASH’S underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.  Stewards questioned licensed trainer Mr. B McNamara who present MADAM’S FLASH’S in regards to the performance of the greyhound in today’s event.  Mr. McNamara stated that the greyhound had been training well leading up to the event and the fact that it had suffered interference in the early and middle stages of the race was indicative of where it had finished in last position.  He stated that MADAM’S FLASH’S is engaged on Sunday 4 December and it would be his expectation that the greyhound would improve.  Stewards noted his explanation however, advised Mr. McNamara that the performance of today’s event was bordering on unacceptable.

The greyhound HARA’S HEAT underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.  When questioned over the performance of HARA’S HEAT trainer Mr. D Titmarsh reported that the greyhound races better over the shorter distance of 331m and was of the view that HARA’S HEAT tired over the latter stages.  Mr. D Titmarsh took upon himself to have the greyhound examined by his own veterinary surgeon in the upcoming days and would report to the stewards in anything that may come amiss.  Stewards noted his explanation.
