JUNIOR HARNESS RACING ASSOCIATION MAIDEN HEAT 1 331M Even
start with the exception of MAMA NATURE SAID which was marginally slow to
begin. Approaching the turn out of the
back straight DIAMOND SAND was tightened for racing room, checked and lost
ground. Shortly after TRENCH VAPOUR
checked across the heels of BLACK KOALA and raced wide as a consequence and
lost ground. FLYING COMET raced wide
rounding the turn out of the back straight. |

JUNIOR HARNESS RACING MAIDEN HEAT 2 331M Even start with the exception of BAGS IT’S MINE which was
slow to begin. Rounding the turn into
the back straight ASHMORE DE KAHN was tightened for racing room, checked and
lost ground. Leaving the back straight
GOLDEN OWL improved onto the heels of ORACLE KATE and was checked as a
consequence then shifted out and collided with BAGS IT’S MINE resulting in
both greyhounds racing wide and losing ground. NEDGO DALE which was trailing was checked
as a consequence and raced wide. |

HARNESS RACING KIDS MAIDEN HEAT 3 331M Even start
with the exception of BONKOCKA BEANS which was extremely slow to begin. Entering the back straight DREAM TEWIN was
tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Rounding the turn out of the back straight
SNOW GIRL checked across the heels of ABBEY KEBABBEY resulting in both
greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.
KISMET DE KAHN which was racing to the outside of SNOW GIRL was checked
as a consequence. Rounding the turn
into the front straight KISMET DE KAHN turned its head and made muzzle
contact with DREAM TEWIN. Stewards
advised trainer Mr. B Dull that the greyhound BONKNOCKA BEANS would be
charged under Rule 71 Unsatisfactory Performance, must perform a satisfactory
stewards’ trial 331m all tracks prior to nominating. The greyhound
KISMET DE KAHN underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent
injuries were found. Stewards advised
trainer Mr. M James that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 69
Marring, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial
331m all tracks |

RACING FOR KIDS 5-17 YEARS MZAIDEN FINAL 331M Even start with the exception of COSMIC REX and SHAKEY
RANDLE which were both marginally slow to begin. Approaching the turn out of the back
straight OUTBACK STORM improved onto the heels of PINK SUNSET resulting in
both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground. ARBROATH SMOKIE which was trailing was
severely checked as a result of this incident. Rounding the turn into the front straight
CASEY MINI ME and SHAKEY RANDLE collided resulting in both greyhounds to be
checked and lose ground. The greyhound OUTBACK STORM underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the near
side wrist and was stood down for a period of 10 days. |

& PONIES NOVICE 331M ELLIE’S LAST and HOLLY KNOCKS were best to begin. Rounding the turn out of the back straight
ELLIE’S LAST was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Approaching the turn out of the back
straight JOHNNY THE FOX was tightened for racing room, checked and lost
ground. CASHMEERA and WRECK IT RUBY
which were trialling were checked as a consequence and lost ground. Rounding the turn out of the back straight
JOHNNY THE FOX improved onto the hindquarters of SHAYLOR CHERRY resulting in
both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground. Approaching the turn into the front
straight SHAYLOR CHERRY was tightened for racing room, checked and lost
ground. |

MINI TROTTING IS GREAT NOVICE 331M Even start with the exception of ZABDON CHEVY and OLD
MOON MADNESS which were both marginally slow to begin. Leaving the back straight SPECTRAILLE was
tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. ZABDON CHEVY which was trailing was checked
as a consequence and raced wide.
WOODY’S GIRL raced wide around the turn out of the back straight. Entering the front straight ZABDON CHEVY
improved onto the heels of SPECTRAILLE and was momentarily hampered. The greyhound WOODY’S GIRL underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. The greyhound OLD MOON MADNESS underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the near
hind toe and was stood down for a period of 10 days. |

@QJHRA 4th GRADE 395M Even start.
Through the first turn ROMEO RAGTOP was tightened for racing room,
checked and lost ground. Shortly after
NO CALLARATAH was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. The greyhound NO CALLARATAH underwent a post race veterinarian
examination and no apparent injuries were found. When questioned over the performance of the
greyhound trainer Mr. J Edwards stated that the greyhound races best when it
is able to find the rails and having drawn box 7 it was his opinion that after
suffering some minor interference early in the race NO CALLARATAH was unable
to find the rails which contributed to its overall finishing position. Stewards noted his explanation. |

# QJHRA BEST 8 395M Even start. Through the 1st turn KIMAHRI
RONSO, FABRICATED, FABULOUS WALL and GOLD TOTAL were all tightened for racing
room, checked and lost ground.
Rounding the turn into the front straight FABRICATED and GOLD TOTAL
collided resulting in both greyhounds to be momentarily hampered. |

MINI TROTTING FOR YEARS 5-17 YEARS 5th GRADE
331M Even start with the exception of RUNYA DOWN and MASTER
MAGOO which were marginally slow to begin.
Entering the back straight MR. WOODS and LEAH BENZ collided resulting
in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground. Rounding the turn out of the back straight
MR. WOODS improved onto the hindquarters of LEAH BENZ resulting in both
greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.
Rounding the turn into the front straight BEST STRATEGY and SIRRAH
SIRRAH collided over some distance resulting in BEST STRATEGY to be checked
and lose ground. In the front straight
over the latter stages of the race BEST STRATEGY was tightened for racing
room, checked and lost ground. |

FIND US ON FACEBOOK 5th GRADE 331M CHOPPER NORRIS, SMASHNIAK STAR and ELL’S ALL CLASS were
best to begin. Entering the back
straight COMPETE CONTROL was tightened for racing room, checked and lost
ground. Rounding the turn out of the
back straight CHOPPER NORRIS shifted out which momentarily hampered the
running of ELL’S ALL CLASS. |

MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM QJRDA 5th GRADE 331M Even start with the exception of TOKATEE KAHN and SPYING
GAME which were both marginally slow to begin. Entering the back straight ELLY’S REIGN and
PANTS PIRATE were tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Approaching the turn out of the back
straight SMASHNIAK STORM was tightened for racing room, checked and lost
ground. SPYING GAME which was trailing
was severely checked and fell taking no further part in the race. SPRING DOLLY, TOKATEE KAHN and ELLY’S REIGN
which were all trailing were all checked as a consequence and lost ground. The greyhound SPYING GAME underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the near
fore leg and was humanely euthanised. |

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL 5th GRADE 395M REDDY RANGER, SILKY OAK and DAVID’S MEMORY were best to
begin. KIKEM SPRINGER was slow to
begin. Through the first turn REDDY
RANGER was tightened for racing room, checked, fell as a consequence taking
no further competitive part in the race.
STOLE MY HEART which was racing to its outside was severely checked
and lost considerable ground as a result of this incident. The greyhound REDDY RANGER underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. |
