TRIALS

Stewards Trial 1 – 520m

The greyhound MILLION DOLLAR performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 520m in a time of 31.01 and is now cleared all tracks except Brisbane until after 1 January 2017.

 

The greyhound BILLY BEAN performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 520m in a time of 31.10 and is now cleared all tracks.

 

Stewards Trial 1 – 395m

The greyhound RUN CHUCK RUN performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 395m in a time of 23.68 and is now cleared all tracks.

 

The greyhound HORSLEY ROCKET performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 395m in a time of 23.58 and is now cleared all tracks (except Lismore) with blinkers.

 

The greyhound HARA’S LEISHA performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 395m in a time of 23.23 and is now cleared all tracks with near side blinkers.

 

The greyhound DUSTY ROCKS performed a satisfactory weight trial over the distance of 395m in a time of 23.32 at a weight of 29.0.

 

RACE REPORTS

1.

XMAS NIGHT HERE THURSDAY MAIDEN HEAT 1 520M

YOU ANGEL YOU was best to begin while MR. TERRIFIC and STANKY LEG were slow.  Shortly after the start NASH TATO and MORAYFIELD SWIFT came together and became unbalanced.  Approaching the winning post on the 1st occasion LOLA GIRL was tightened.  At the same time NASH TATO shifted out checking SHINING SUPREME and MORAYFIELD SWIFT who lost significant ground.  Through the 1st turn NASH TATO and STANKY LEG collided and were unbalanced.  LOLA GIRL which was following was significantly hampered as a result.  In the top turn STANKY LEG improved onto the heels of SHINING SUPREME and fell, taking no further competitive part in the event.  LOLA GIRL which was following was inconvenienced.

 

The greyhound LOLA GIRL underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound STANKY LEG underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

GLASSHOUSE GREYHOUND SPORTING CLUB MAIDEN HEAT 2 520M

DOODOOMP was best to begin with LITLLE MISS SHOW was slowly away.  Immediately after the start WILDASH SEMI shifted out checking LAZZA MANAZZA and LOCA DIABLO.  Approaching the 1st turn AFTER GLOW and LITTLE MISS SHOW collided.  Through the 1st turn WILDASH SEMI checked off heels.  Leaving the 1st turn LAZZA MANAZZA and DOODOOMP came together causing DOODOOMP to lose ground.  In the back straight AFTER GLOW checked off heels.  Through the top turn LAZZA MANAZZA improved onto the heels of SWIFT LEAH causing both greyhounds to become unbalanced and WILDASH SEMI which was racing to the outside was inconvenienced.

 

The greyhound LOCA DIABLO underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.  Stewards advised trainer Mr. A Gates that the greyhound’s performance in this event was bordering on unsatisfactory.

GARRARD’S HORSE AND HOUND NOVICE 520M

SHIMATTA was best to begin whilst LONGTIME COMIN’ was slowly away.  Shortly after the start PAY THE WAY was tightened.  In the front straight CYNO ROSE and ZINGIBER GUNTUR were tightened between SAY GOOD DAY and PAY THE WAY  and CYNO ROSE lost significant ground as a result.  Entering the 1st turn LONGTIME COMIN’ checked off heels and collided with ZINGIBER GUNTUR.  Through the 1st turn PAY THE WAY improved onto the heels of SAY GOOD DAY severely checking this greyhound and causing it to take no further competitive part in the event.  PAY THE WAY also lost significant ground in this incident.  Entering the home straight LONGTIME COMIN’ shifted in turning its head and marring the running of CAPTAIN LOUIE.  LONGTIME COMIN’ and CAPTAIN LOUIE were tight and unbalanced through the home straight.  Over the concluding stages CYNO ROSE checked off the heels of PAY THE WAY.

 

The greyhound CYNO ROSE underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound SAY GOOD DAY underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the near side hip and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

 

Stewards advised trainer Ms S Lawrance that the greyhound LONGTIME COMIN’ would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 520m all tracks.

GLEN GALLON @ STUD 0 – 3 WINS 600M

MY MOJO was slowly away.  Shortly after the start COOKIE NO CREAM and CARLTON CREW were tight.  In the 1st turn general tightening resulting in interference to the entire field excluding MY MOJO.  Entering the front straight LIL’S ROSE and CARLTON CREW collided heavily.  CARLTON CREW was wide in the front straight.  In the front straight COOKIE NO CREAM and TIZZYWING came together and were unbalanced.  Through the bottom turn LIL’S ROSE was tightened.  Racing through the bottom turn COOKIE NO CREAM and TIZZYWING raced tight and unbalanced.  LIL’S ROSE was wide in the back straight.  CARLTON CREW checked off heels through the back straight.

CLINT’S CARAVAN WAREHOUSE 5th GRADE 520M

TOOKA TRIP and CLASSY CHURCHIE were best to begin while CYNO MIRAGE, DASH OF FAITH and SWIFT NIMROD were slow.  In the front straight DASH OF FAITH was hampered on the heels of CLASSY CHURCHIE.  Approaching the 1st turn TOOKA TRIP, CYNO MIRAGE, CLASSY CHURCHIE, HARA’S BUNDY and GUNNA WINK were all tightened resulting in TOOKA TRIP and CYNO MIRAGE to be severely checked.  DASH OF FAITH which was following was also severely inconvenienced.

 

The greyhound TOOKA TRIP underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound CYNO MIRAGE underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

BRISGREYS.COM 5th GRADE HEAT 1 520M

YOUR MY STAR, SILENT SONNY and MISS PEREGIAN were marginally slow to begin.  Shortly after the start COSADO SUN and CYNO GENERAL collided.  In the front straight CYNO GENERAL was tightened and lost ground as FLASHING FERGO shifted in.  YOUR MY STAR which was racing to the outside of this greyhound was hampered as a result and lost ground.  In the 1st turn LOVE SHAK and MISS PEREGIAN came together.  Entering the home straight MISS PEREGIAN and LOVE SHAK collided and were unbalanced.  KIKEM ZEST which was following was hampered.

SKY RACING 5th GRADE HEAT 2 520M

CYNO STEIN was slow to begin.  Shortly after the start KIKEM STORMY and CAN OF SPRITE came together.  Approaching the 1st turn DOLLAR AND CENT checked off heels and lost ground.  Entering the turn OUR CHALLENGE and CASANOVA JOE collided, forcing CASANOVE JOE to race wide.  Through the turn DOLLAR AND CENT and CYNO STEIN came together.  Approaching the top turn CASANOVA JOE was hampered on the heels of KIKEM STORMY.

 

The greyhound CYNO STEIN underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the near hind webbing and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

BATTY LOVES BEER was slow to begin.  Entering the 1st turn BIRKDALE BANDIT and BATTY LOVES BEER came together causing BATTY LOVES BEER to race wide, continuing through the back straight.  Entering the home straight BATTY LOVES BEER and DUSKY SILK came together.  In the home straight DUSKY SILK checked off heels.

SULZANTI @ STUD 5th GRADE HEAT 3 520M

Even start.  Shortly after the start MIDNIGHT DASHER was tightened.  In the front straight STILL COUNTING was tightened and lost ground causing this greyhound to collide with GOOD CALL PAUL.  Entering the 1st turn TOOKA TURN improved onto the heels of GEORGIA and both greyhounds became severely unbalanced.  BLITZ ‘EM, MIDNIGHT DASHER and SPORTFAN which were following were severely inconvenienced.  Shortly after, STILL COUNTING shifted out off the heels of GOOD CALL PAUL.  Entering the back straight BOUNDING AFFAIR checked off heels becoming severely unbalanced and losing ground.  TOOKA TURN which was following improved onto the heels of this greyhound and as a result both lost significant ground.  Entering the home straight GEORGIA and MIDNIGHT DASHER collided.

 

The greyhound BOUNDING AFFAIR underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound TOOKA TURN underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off side wrist and was stood down for a period of 7 days.

 

The greyhound GOOD CALL PAUL underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the near hind webbing and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

CHILLED HEAT and GO LASSIE GO were best to begin while IZZY ELECTRIC and CYNO SNIP were slow.  VIKING BUDDY began awkwardly.  Approaching the 1st turn CYNO SNIP was tightened between VIKING BUDDY and IZZY ELECTRIC and lost ground.  CYNO SNIP was wide in the back straight.  Through the top turn CHILLED HEAT improved onto the heels of GEMMA BENZ and became unbalanced.  In the home straight CHILLED HEAT checked off heels.
