NAH YEAH and GALWAY KITE were best to begin.
GALWAY BLUEBIRD was marginally slow to begin. Entering the back straight HAVANA BLACK was
tightened for room and checked. In the
back straight NORM SAID THIS was tightened for room and checked. Entering the turn out of the back straight
GALWAY BLUEBIRD shifted inwards and contacted the heels of GALWAY KITE
resulting in both runners to be checked.
NORM SAID THIS which was trailing was checked and shifted wide on the
turn as a result of this incident. Rounding
the turn into the front straight HAVANA BLACK and GALWAY BLUEBIRD collided
resulting in both runners to be checked.
In the front straight NORM SAID THIS and GALWAY KITE were wide. The
greyhound NORM SAID THIS underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no
apparent injuries were found. |

ZILLMERE SPORTS CLUB MAIDEN HEAT 1 331M YORKLEA DOLLY and TRY COMB were best to begin. LOVE YOU FOREVER was marginally slow to
begin. Entering the back straight
REECY ROO was tightened for room and checked.
LOVE YOU FOREVER which was trailing was checked as a result. Entering the turn out of the back straight
LINA’S FIRST was tightened for room and momentarily hampered. LOVE YOU FOREVER which was trailing was
checked and shifted out wide on the turn as a result. REECY ROO which was trailing that greyhound
was checked and shifted out wide as a result.
Rounding the turn into the front straight YORKLEA DOLLY shifted
outwards resulting in STAR RISE which was trailing to be hampered. In the home straight REECY ROO and LOVE YOU
FOREVER bumped resulting in both runners to be hampered. In the front straight STAR RISE, LOVE YOU
FOREVER and REECY ROO were wide. The greyhound REECY ROO underwent a post-race
veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. Stewards questioned trainer Mr. S Staples
regarding the actions of REECY ROO in today’s event. Mr. Staples stated that the greyhound REECY
ROO had not previously trialled here at Albion Park and it was its first
attempt to race around the track. He
further stated that the interference suffered to LOVE YOU FOREVER resulted in
his greyhound REECY ROO shifting out on the turn and that he expects an
improvement in the greyhound’s performances in the future. The greyhound LINA’S FIRST underwent a post-race
veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off
hind leg and was stood down for a period of 10 days. |

GARRARD’S HORSE AND HOUND MAIDEN HEAT 2 331M ABBEY
KEBABBEY was best to begin. Shortly
after the start SANDLER was tightened for room and checked. Entering the back straight TURBO BURN was
tightened for room and checked. Entering
the turn out of the back straight WESTMEAD DAFFIE contacted the hindquarters
of ABBEY KEBABBEY resulting in both runners to be checked. TURBO BURN which was trailing was checked
and shifted out wide on the turn contacting the heels of SANDLER. SANDLER was checked and forced wide on the
turn as a result of this incident.
Rounding the turn into the front straight WESTMEAD DAFFIE shifted
outwards resulting in SANDLER which was trailing to be momentarily hampered. CATCH ME KEITH was wide for a majority of
the event. |

GLEN GALLON @ STUD MAIDEN HEAT 3 331M BURRUM STARSKY was marginally slow to begin. Shortly after the start SMART SHIRL and AL
BUZZARD collided resulting in both runners to be hampered. Entering the back straight CANDY CRUISE and
TARIQ KAHN were tightened for room and checked. Shortly after AL BUZZARD and SMART SHIRL
were tightened for room resulting in AL BUZZARD to be checked and SMART SHIRL
to be severely checked. Entering the
turn out of the back straight DORITO BENZ shifted outwards and raced wide
around the turn as a result. Shortly
after BURRUM STARSKY shifted outwards and raced wide around the turn. Rounding the turn into the front straight
TARIQ KAHN checked off the heels of AL BUZZARD. DORITO BENZ was wide in the front straight. The greyhound AL BUZZARD underwent a post-race veterinary
examination and no apparent injuries were found. The greyhound DORITO BENZ underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the near
side wrist and was stood down for a period of 10 days. |

CLINT’S
CARAVAN WAREHOUSE NOVICE 331M AIN’T NO LADY was slow to begin. Entering the back straight HUBCAP WILLY was
tightened for room and hampered.
Entering the turn out of the back straight VICKI’S CHOICE shifted out
and raced wide around the turn.
Shortly after GITCHA ROSES, LEROY SPIRIT, HUBCAP WILLY, DIAMOND JAKEY
and AIN’T NO LADY were all tightened for room and checked to varying degrees
as a result. DIAMOND JAKEY and AIN’T NO
LADY were forced out wide on the turn as a result of this incident. The greyhound VICKI’S CHOICE underwent a post-race
veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. Stewards questioned trainer Mr. M Jovicic
with regards to VICKI’S CHOICE actions on the turn out of the back
straight. Mr. Jovicic stated that the
greyhound’s normal racing pattern is to shift outwards on the turn. He further stated that he did support the
greyhound in today’s event. |

Shortly after the start SIZE MADE ME was tightened for room and
hampered. Entering the back straight
OUTBACK DANACER was tightened for room and checked. Shortly after COSMIC REX, ELLIE’S LAST and
MR. BLUE COMICS were tightened for room and checked to varying degrees. Entering the turn out of the back straight
SIZE MADE ME checked off the heels of PERFECT LADY. ELLIE’S LAST which was trailing was
hampered and forced wide around the turn as a result. Shortly after COSMIC REX shifted outwards
and raced wide around the turn into the front straight. Rounding the turn into the front straight
KNOCKA ROUND shifted outwards and collided with MR. BLUE COMICS resulting in
both runners to be checked. Entering
the front straight KNOCKA ROUND checked outwards across the heels of MR. BLUE
COMICS and lost ground. COSMIC REX was
very wide in the front straight. |

BRISGREYS.COM 4th GRADE 395M BOXING ROO GIRL was best to begin. Rounding the turn into the back straight
FABULOUS KATIE and NO JOCKEY NEEDED were tightened for room and checked. Shortly after HYDROGEN was tightened for
room and checked. Entering the turn
out of the back straight NO JOCKEY NEEDED contacted the heels of HYDROGEN
resulting in both runners to be checked.
Rounding the turn into the front straight HYDROGEN checked off the
heels of SMASH EM UP and was hampered.
LADY CORSAIR which was racing to its outside was hampered as a
result. In the front straight LADY
CORSAIR shifted inwards and tightened the running of HYDROGEN resulting in
that runner to be hampered. The greyhound NO JOCKEY NEEDED underwent a post-race
veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the near
hind foot and was stood down for a period of 7 days. |

SKY RACING BEST 8 395M The start of the event was delayed due
to an international thoroughbred event. Even start with the exception of TASER
SHOCK which was marginally slow to begin.
Through the 1st turn MASTER CORSAIR and COSMO BILL were
tightened for room and checked.
Leaving the back straight COSMO BILL shifted inwards and tightened the
running of MASTER CORSAIR which was checked as a result. Entering the turn out of the back straight
TASER SHOCK checked off the heels of LITTLE FONZIE and shifted outwards. CORRUPT MODEL which was racing to its
outside was checked and shifted out wide on the turn as a result. Through the turn into the front straight
CORRUPT MODEL shifted inwards and collided with MASTER CORSAIR resulting in
both runners to be checked. The greyhound CORRUPT MODEL underwent
a post-race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury
to the near hind leg and was stood down for a period of 14 days. |

SULZANTI @ STUD 3/4th GRADE 395M The start of the event was delayed due to an interstate
greyhound event. Even start.
Through the 1st turn CEASER DE KAHN, WESTERN HONEY, FENRIR,
FABULOUS WALL and HOPE’S MAGIC were all tightened for room and checked to
varying degrees. Entering the turn out
of the back straight FENRIR shifted inwards and tightened the running of
ROMEO RAGTOP resulting in that runner to be hampered. Shortly after HOPE’S MAGIC improved onto
the heels of WESTERN HONEY resulting in WESTERN HONEY to be checked and
HOPE’S MAGIC to be severely checked, fall and take no further competitive
part in the event. GRAND ROSIE was
wide in the front straight. The greyhound HOPE’S MAGIC underwent a post-race
veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

MANLY HOTEL 5th GRADE 331M ORACLE KATE was best to begin. Entering the back straight BLOZA was
tightened for room and severely checked.
In the back straight COL’S INTEREST, ORACLE KATE and RUNYA DOWN were
tightened for room resulting in ORACLE KATE and RUNYA DOWN to be checked and
COL’S INTEREST to be severely checked.
Entering the turn out of the back straight ORACLE KATE and RUNYA DOWN
bumped resulting in both runners to be hampered. The greyhound COL’S INTEREST underwent a post-race
veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off
side shoulder and was stood down for a period of 7 days. |

varying degrees. Entering the back
straight AGRO’S THUNDER and TRAV’S GIFT bumped resulting in both runners to
be hampered. Entering the turn out of
the back straight TRAV’S GIFT was tightened for room and hampered. |

Shortly after the start GOOD ODDS KATE was tightened for room and
checked. Approaching the 1st
turn HOLLYWOOD HEARTS collided with TRAV’S MAGIC resulting in both runners to
be checked. Through the 1st
turn QUEEN OF SHOW and SOUTHERN FLOSS collided resulting in both runners to
be checked. HOLLYWOOD HEARTS and
TRAV’S MAGIC which were trailling were checked as a consequence. Entering the back straight MANYARA MISS
gave ground and finished a considerable distance from the field. Entering the turn out of the back straight
GOOD ODDS KATE was tightened for room and checked. The greyhound MANYARA MISS underwent a post-race
veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the near
hind back muscle and was stood down for a period of 6 weeks. |
