GREYHOUNDS SPORTING CLUB MAIDEN 520M GADSBY’S
ROAD and ALIMAY OSTI were best to begin while PASS THE AMMO and HARRY’S PLACE
was slowly away. In the front straight
CURL THE WAVE was tightened and lost ground.
Entering the 1st turn HARRY’S PLACE checked off heels. Leaving the back straight SHOES TO FILL
improved onto the heels of ALIMAY OSTI causing this greyhound to lose
ground. In the top turn HARRY’S PLACE
checked off heels. Shortly after,
BINERAY BOY was hampered on the heels of GADSBY’S ROAD. The
greyhound CURL THE WAVE underwent a post race veterinarian examination and
was found to have suffered an injury to the off side hip and was stood down
for a period of 14 days. |

UBET – THE NEW TAB
NOVICE 520M KAPPA NU was slow to begin. Shortly after the start IVANELROY’S MATE,
FABULOUS SHOW and ROCKIN’ ALL OVER collided.
ROCKIN’ ALL OVER and IVANELROY’S MATE raced tight and unbalanced for
some distance thereafter. In the 1st
turn INVANELROY’S MATE checked off heels.
Entering the back straight LAST DRINKS checked off heels and shifted
wide. ROCKIN’ ALL OVER and KAPPA NU
were wide in the back straight. The greyhound FABULOUS SHOW underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. Stewards questioned trainer Mrs K. Hoggan
in regards to the greyhound’s performance, particularly in the concluding
stages of the event. Mrs Hoggan
acknowledged that the greyhound did fall away over the concluding stages and noted
that she had expected the greyhound to finish in a stronger fashion and that
in her opinion both of her greyhounds in this event, FABULOUS SHOW and COPPER
MINER are of a comparable ability. Mrs
Hoggan advised stewards that she had not noticed anything amiss with the
greyhound leading up to the event but that the recent hot weather conditions
may have played a part in the greyhound’s performance. Stewards noted the trainer’s comments and Mrs
Hoggan undertook to inform stewards should anything come to light with the
greyhound in the proceeding days. |

start. In the 1st turn
LIL’S ROSE checked off heels. DUSTY
WAY and MIGHTY NOVA were tight entering the turn into the home straight. |

GLEN GALLON @ STUD 5th GRADE HEAT 1 520M FLASHING FERGO and VIKING BUDDY were best to begin while
DIRECT TERROR was slow. Entering the 1st
turn FLASHING FERGO was tightened.
Entering the home straight QUINTASTIC and DIRECT TERROR raced
tight. ANOTHER HASSLER and QUINTASTIC
came together over the concluding stages. The greyhound ANOTHER HASSLER underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the back
and was stood down for a period of 10 days.
Trainer Mr. D Turley when questioned by stewards advised that the
greyhound will not be starting at Albion Park in the near future as he believes
this may benefit the greyhound’s form going forward. |

CARAVAN WAREHOUSE 5th GRADE HEAT 2 520M HARA’S STORM was best to begin while HORUS GUN and WAY
BEFORE YOU were slowly away.
Approaching the 1st turn UNIQUE GHOSTY was tightened. HARA’S STORM and ALOTA DAGZ came together
in the 1st turn. Shortly
after, HARA’S STORM shifted out off the heels of ALOTA DAGZ and lost
ground. Leaving the back straight ABBY
NORMAL checked off heels and lost ground.
UNIQUE GHOSTY and WAY BEFORE YOU collided entering the home straight. The greyhound HORUS GUN underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the near
side hip and was stood down for a period of 10 days. |

BRISGREYS.COM 5th GRADE HEAT 3 520M LARA SAINT was best to begin whilst SLICK AZZ EL was
slowly away. In the front straight
HARA’S HOOK was tightened and lost ground.
Entering the 1st turn LORD LACHLAN shifted out and
tightened SMART MARLOW and SLICK AZZ EL and both greyhounds lost ground. Shortly after, HARA’S HOOK checked off
heels. Entering the home straight SMART
MARLOW shifted out turning its head towards LORD LACHLAN. The greyhound SMART MARLOW underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. Stewards advised trainer Mr. R Burman that
the greyhound would be charged under Rule 69 (A) Failing to Pursue, 1st
offence, 28 day stand down plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial over 520m, all
tracks. |

GRADE 520M SEIZED ASSET was slow to begin. In the front straight ANGELIC MISS and OUR
CHALLENGE came together. Approaching
the 1st turn ANGELIC MISS checked off heels. In the 1st turn MASTER CORSAIR
and PANAMERA collided. Entering the
back straight PANAMERA checked off heels.
Leaving the back straight SEIZED ASSET, SPRING MARSHALL and ANGELIC
MISS were tightened and lost ground.
In the top turn PANAMERA and BOOM WARRIOR came together and were
unbalanced. Entering the home straight

US ON FACEBOOK @ BRISGREYS 5th GRADE HEAT 4 520M FLASH VENTURE was slow to begin. Shortly after the start ONYA BENZ and
COSADO SUN collided causing ONYA BENZ to become significantly
unbalanced. In the 1st turn
COSADO SUN shifted out hampering PETITE ZIP ZIP. CHEVY BLUE BOY and ONYA BENZ were tight entering
the home straight. SUMMER QUAYS was
wide throughout. The greyhound SO KAWAII underwent a
post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. When questioned on the seemingly poor
performance of SO KAWAII trainer Mr D. McGrath advised stewards that the
greyhound does not perform at its best unless it’s able to lead throughout
the race. Mr McGrath also noted that
the greyhound losing ground as it did in tonight’s event was no surprise to
him given its position entering the 1st turn. Stewards noted Mr. McGrath’s comments in
line with the greyhound’s previous race form. |

GRADE HEAT 5 520M ARDEN STREET was slow to begin. In the front straight GUNNA WINK was
tightened and lost ground. Entering
the 1st turn WISH YOU WILL and FATHER NOEL were tight and
unbalanced. GUNNA WINK which was
following was hampered. In the 1st
turn WISH YOU WILL and FATHER NOEL collided.
Entering the back straight MIDNIGHT DASHER checked off heels. KERRYZA GUNN raced wide in the back
straight. Entering the top turn WISH
YOU WILL was tightened and lost ground. |

BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY 4/5th
GRADE 395M The start of this race was delayed due to difficulty in boxing
the greyhound PERFECT LADY.
Consequently the greyhound PERFECT LADY underwent a pre race
veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. The greyhound was
passed fit to start. SPLENDID STAR was best to begin. In the 1st turn general
tightening caused interference to all runners excluding SPLENDID STAR. Entering the back straight FANCY SCHMANCY
lost ground in clear running and took no further competitive part in the
event. Leaving the back straight
INTERACTION and PERFECT LADY collided. Resulting from the difficulty in boxing PERFECT LADY
Stewards advised trainer Mr M. Hay that the greyhound would be charged under
Rule 71 Unsatisfactory Performance and must perform a satisfactory stewards’
trial over the distance of 395m prior to nominating. The greyhound FANCY SCHMANCY underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off
hind back muscle and was stood down for a period of 28 days. |
