Stewards
Trial 1 – 520m The greyhound SMART MARLOW performed a
satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 520m in a time of 30.97 and
is now cleared to nominate all tracks except Brisbane until after 12 February
2017. The greyhound MR. BATTISTUZZI performed a
satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 520m in a time of 30.41 and
is now cleared to nominate all tracks except Ipswich. |

DOWNLOAD THE APP MAIDEN HEAT 1 395M COMANECI
was best to begin. In the 1st
turn PAYTON JOYCE, STAR BILLING, PREMIER FRED, ISOBELLA’S MAGIC and LUKE’S
WAY were all tightened causing PEYTON JOYCE and STAR BILLING to lose
ground. In the back straight PEYTON
JOYCE checked off heels and lost ground.
Approaching the top turn SMART SHIRL contacted the running rail and
lost ground. The
greyhound SMART SHIRL underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no
apparent injuries were found. |

ZILLMERE SPORTS CLUN MAIDEN HEAT 2 395M Even start.
Shortly after the start BENNE FORTUNA and SALUDOS collided. Shortly after, SMASHNIAK WINX was tightened
and lost ground. Entering the back
straight AGENDA and SQUARE BARE came together and lost ground as a
result. Shortly after, RURAL improved
onto the heels of SALUDOS and both greyhounds were checked. In the top turn SQUARE BARE shifted wide
checking SALLY FITZ. The greyhound SMASHNIAK WINX underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off
fore webbing and was stood down for a period of 7 days. |

GARRARD’S HORSEAND HOUND MAIDEN FINAL 395M MAURICE MINOR
was best to begin while NEV’S SHADOW was slowly away. In the 1st turn LUCKMAN checked
off heels and collided with POSSESSION.
Entering the back straight POSSESSION improved onto the heels of
MAYFEWATHER and both greyhounds were checked.
Shortly after, NEV’S SHADOW was tightened and lost ground. Approaching the top turn POSSESSION checked
off heels. |

GLEN GALLON @ STUD NOVICE 395M SAY GOOD DAY and HOOTALUNA were best to begin while
HARA’S HUMMER and BONKNOCKA PRINCE were slowly away. In the 1st turn SOLTADOR and
HOOTALUNA were tightened and lost ground.
In the top turn HOOTALUNA checked off the hindquarters of SOLTADOR and
became severely unbalanced. Shortly
after, STOLE MY HEART and BLANCHETT came together and were unbalanced. The greyhound HOOTALUNA underwent a post-race veterinary
examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

CARAVAN WAREHOUSE 5th GRADE 395M IRONBAR RICKY was best to begin while TOO MANY BILLS was
slowly away. In the 1st
turn MAM’S MAGIC was checked and lost ground.
FUNNY FELLOW which was racing to its outside was inconvenienced. Entering the back straight POPULAR BELIEF
was checked and fell taking no further competitive part in the event. FUNNY FELLOW which was following was
inconvenienced. In the back straight
TOO MANY BILLS checked off heels and lost ground and MAM’S MAGIC was hampered
as a result. The greyhound POPULAR BELIEF underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

BRISGREYS.COM 5th GRADE 395M BLACK SCORPION and SENOR’S SON were best to begin while
COSMO WAZ was slow. In the 1st
turn MO STRADAMUS, TAHLIA’S WAY and BARBARA BENZ were tight and collided and
became unbalanced. COOL VANE, COSMO
WAZ and EGYPTAIN MISS which were racing to their outside were inconvenienced
as a result. BARBARA BENZ was wide in
the top turn. The ‘all clear’ for this race was delayed while stewards
reviewed the photo finish. |

SKY RACING 5th GRADE FINAL 395M OUTBACK SUNSHINE and WHERE’S CODY were marginally slow to
begin. Shortly after the start JIGGLE
SPLAT was checked. In the 1st
turn OUTBACK SUNSHINE checked off heels.
Shortly after, IRONBAR JILL was tightened. Leaving the 1st turn TOLL
EVASION and HYDROGEN all came together and lost ground. In the back straight GUTENBERG was
tightened and lost ground. Shortly
after, IRONBAR JILL improved onto the heels of OUTBACK SUNSHINE and both
greyhounds were checked. On the top
turn TOLL EVASION and JIGGLE SPLAT collided and were unbalanced. Shortly after, GUTENBERG contacted the
running rail and lost ground. In the
top turn OUTBACK SUNSHINE improved onto the heels of IRONBAR JILL and both
greyhounds were checked. Shortly after,
HYDROGEN and OUTBACK SUNSHINE collided.
Entering the home straight OUTBACK SUNSHINE checked off heels. GRAND ROSIE was wide in the home straight. The greyhound GUTENBERG underwent a post-race veterinary
examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

CIGARS ON ICE were tightened and lost ground.
Entering the back straight SPRINGFIELD BOY was tightened and lost
ground. In the back straight SPILLING
SECRETS was tightened and lost ground.
Shortly after, INNER WISDOM shifted out colliding with SHAYLOR
ANDRE. Entering the top turn ELING
FEELING was inconvenienced. In the top
turn SHAYLOR ANDRE and INNER WISDOM collided. The greyhound SPRINGFIELD BOY
underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have suffered
an injury to the off side pin and was stood down for a period of 10 days. |

SULZANTI @ STUD BEST 8 395M FASHOIN ADVICE was slow to begin. In the 1st turn BARRA FUN, WAZZA
KING, MAHAILIA and GOLD TOTAL were all tight causing WAZZA KING to lose ground
and GOLD TOTAL to lose significant ground.
Approaching the top turn THIS TIME MADDIE, BARRA FUN and MAHAILIA
raced tight. Shortly after, THIS TIME
MADDIE contacted the running rail and shifted out. The greyhound THIS TIME MADDIE underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

MANLY HOTEL 5th GRADE 395M SPEEDIE GAGAN was slow to begin. In the 1st turn COWBOY, FEARLESS
DANCER, THIRTY SIX and COSMO LEN were all tightened and checked to varying
degrees. SPEEDIE GAGAN which was
following was hampered. Entering the
top turn COWBOY shifted out hampering WIGGLE.
Shortly after, WIGGLE and COSMO LEN collided. In the top turn THIRTY SIX was tightened
and lost ground. The greyhound FEARLESS DANCER underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and was found to have suffered cramping after the
event and was stood down for a period of 10 days. |

BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY 5th GRADE 395M The start of this event was delayed due to a malfunction
with the mechanical lure. FABRE FORCE was best to begin while FYRE GAL was slowly
away. In the back straight MILKY
CHANCE and SOUTHERN FLOSS collided. Entering
the top turn KILDONAN KID and FYRE GAL raced tight. FABRE FORCE shifted out and raced wide in
the top turn. |
