TRIALS |
Stewards Trial 1 – 395m The greyhound SHE’S
CRANKING performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 395m
in a time of 23.46 and is now cleared all tracks. Stewards Trial 1 – 331m The greyhound
DUBLIN DUCHESS performed a satisfactory 6 month trial over the distance of
331m in a time of 19.71. |

GLASSHOUSE
GREYHOUND SPORTING CLUB MAIDEN 331M BUSY
BREEZE, DUSTY’S DESTINY and MAYFEATHER were best to begin. Approaching the 1st turn BUSY
BREEZE was tightened and lost ground.
MAYFEATHER which was following was hampered. Shortly after, BUSY BREEZE shifted out
forcing JADE PRINCESS to race wide entering the top turn. SMASHNIAK ICE was wide entering the top
turn. Through the top turn JADE
PRINCESS improved onto the heels of BUSY BREEZE and fell taking no further
competitive part in the event. The
greyhound JADE PRINCESS underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no
apparent injuries were found. |

UBET – THE NEW TAB MAIDEN
520M WAZZA QUEEN, ICONIC BEACH and SHOES TO FILL were best to
begin. SHARP AZZ EL and BONKNOCKA LASS
were tight in the front straight. In
the 1st turn SHARP AZZ EL was tightened and proceeded to shift
wide in the turn losing ground. The greyhound SHARP AS EL underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

GARRARD’S HORSE AND HOUND NOVICE 520M THURSDAY WISH
and ANNIE’S MAGIC were best to begin.
Shortly after the start WILD MISS JUDY was tightened. Approaching the 1st turn THURSDAY
WISH was tightened and lost ground.
Leaving the back straight WILD MISS JUDY improved onto the heels of
WATCH OUT RENALD and both greyhounds were checked. KAPPA NU was wide in the back straight. In the front straight DUDE PERFECT improved
onto the heels of THURSDAY WISH. |

GLEN GALLON @ STUD 0 – 3 WINS 600M Even start.
Shortly after the start WISH YOU WILL checked off heels. NASH TATO and ABBY NORMAL were tight in the
1st turn. In the front
straight NASH TATO, REFLECTED and ABBY NORMAL collided. In the back straight ABBY NORMAL checked
off heels and became unbalanced losing ground. Shortly after, ABBY NORMAL blundered. On the turn into the home straight NEYMAR
MAGIC was tightened. NASH TATO and
HONEY HORNET collided entering the home straight. The greyhound ABBY NORMAL underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

CLINT’S
CARAVAN WAREHOUSE 5th GRADE HEAT 1 520M The greyhound HERO HAYDOS underwent a pre-race veterinary
examination and was found to be suffering from heat stress. The greyhound was
stood down for a period of 10 days and was subsequently declared a late
scratching from this event, with the TAB notified at 8PM. COSMO TRAV was slow to begin. In the front straight HARA’S BUNDY was
tightened and made contact with the running rail, losing ground as a
result. Shortly after, KIALLA and LOTS
OF TIME raced tight and unbalanced. The greyhound HARA’S BUNDY underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. When questioned on the greyhound HERO HAYDOS handler Mrs
M. Burman stated that given the greyhound had been a late scratching for
reasons of heat stress on 2 occasions in the last month her intentions were
to spell the greyhound during this warmer weather period and return the
greyhound to racing as the heat subsided. |

BRISGREYS.COM 5th GRADE HEAT 2 520M QUEENIES BEST was best to begin while PAW DIDEMIS and
WITHOUT FAIL were slowly away.
Approaching the 1st turn WITHOUT FAIL contacted the running
rail and lost ground. Entering the 1st
turn QUEENIES BEST checked off heels.
Shortly after, GOTCHA CHA CHA shifted out and collided with QUEENIES
BEST. In the 1st turn PAW
DIDEMIS checked off heels. Entering
the back straight GOTCHA CHA CHA checked off heels and proceeded to race
wide. Entering the top turn PAW
DIDEMIS was tightened. In the home
straight WITHOUT FAIL checked off heels and was unbalanced. The greyhound WITHOUT FAIL underwent a post-race veterinary
examination and no apparent injuries were found. When questioned on the greyhound’s seemingly
poor performance trainer Mr G. Brennan stated that he was disappointed with
the greyhound’s efforts in this event and noted its slow start from the
boxes. He also stated that he did
support the greyhound on this occasion and going forward may consider racing
the greyhound over the 600m distance. Mr Brennan undertook to inform stewards
should anything come to light in the proceeding days. Stewards noted Mr Brennan’s
comments The greyhound GOTCHA CHA CHA underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the near
hind toenail and was stood down for a period of 7 days. |

SKY RACING OPEN 520M Even start. In the
front straight ZABDON LAMBO, OUR CHALLENGE, ANGELIC MISS and MASTER CORSAIR
all collided causing ANGELIC MISS and OUR CHALLENGE to lose ground. In the 1st turn ANGELIC MISS was
hampered on the heels of WAIKARIE MAGIC.
Entering the back straight ZABDON LAMBO checked off heels and lost
ground. Approaching the top turn
WAIKARIE MAGIC was tightened and lost ground. The greyhound WAIKARIE MAGIC underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. The greyhound ZABDON LAMBO underwent a post-race
veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off
hind foot and was stood down for a period of 7 days. |

US ON FACEBOOK @ BRISGREYS.COM 5th GRADE HEAT 3 520M RANGER DANGER and ONE IN SIX were slow
to begin. Immediately at the start
COSMO BILL shifted in and tightened ONE IN SIX. In the front straight FRENCH IDOL was
tightened and lost ground and shortly after collided with SUMMER’S PRANCER
which caused FRENCH IDOL to lose further ground. ONE IN SIX which was following was
hampered. In the 1st turn
RANGER DANGER and SUMMER QUAYS collided and were unbalanced. Shortly after, GUNNA WINK checked off
heels. Entering the back straight
GUNNA WINK was checked and lost significant ground. The greyhound GUNNA WINK underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. The greyhound FRENCH IDOL underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off
side hock and was stood down for a period of 14 days. Trainer Mr. B Hazelgrove informed stewards
that he was unhappy with the greyhound’s performance despite the injury and that
his intentions are to field trial the greyhound once it recovers from its
injury in an attempt to improve its performance. Mr Hazelgrove stated that if and when he is
satisfied with the greyhound’s trial performance he will return the greyhound
to competitive racing. Stewards noted Mr Hazelgrove’s comments. |

GRADE HEAT 4 520M LADY CORSAIR was best to begin while ELING FEELING was
slowly away. In the 1st
turn KORONG and LADY CORSAIR collided.
IMA RUNAWAY and EMMA’S MAGIC which were racing to their outside were
hampered. ELING FEELING was wide in
the 1st turn. Entering the
top turn EMMA’S MAGIC and IMA RUNAWAY collided. In the top turn SURE YOU CAN and WAY OF
SHADOWS came together. AWESOME WILLS
and EMMA’S MAGIC collided entering the home straight. Trainer Mr S. Goodwin advised Stewards on Tuesday 7th
February that the greyhound LADY CORSAIR underwent a veterinarian examination
and was found to have suffered an injury to the near side shoulder, which is
expected to carry a stand down of approximately 14 days. |

GRADE 395M NANTUCKET KAHN was best to begin while POPULAR BELIEF was
slowly away. In the 1st
turn ART OF CONFUSION was tightened and lost ground and as a result collided
with POPULAR BELIEF. Entering the back
straight BOXING ROO GIRL and ALPHA HECTOR came together. INNER WISDOM which was racing to their
outside was also hampered. INNER
WISDOM was wide entering the back straight.
