1.

GLASSHOUSE GREYHOUND SPORTING CLUB MAIDEN 395M

All races were a follow on lure. SQUARE BARE, FLYING PEPPER, AGENDA and DEL REY were best to begin.  Shortly after the start GALWAY BLUEBIRD and BLACK DINGO collided resulting in GALWAY BLUEBIRD being checked and lost ground.  Approaching the turn into the back straight DEL REY was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  BLACK DINGO raced wide rounding the turn out of the back straight.

 

The greyhound BLACK DINGO underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

2.

ZILLMERE SPORTS CLUB MAIDEN 395M

SALLY FITZ, QUICK AND LIVELY, SALUDOS and SMASHNIAK OPAL were best to begin.  HARA’S HOPE was slow to begin.  Shortly after the start HARA’S HOPE checked across the heels of KULU JASPER and was hampered as a consequence and thereafter failed to muster speed.  Entering the back straight QUICK AND LIVELY was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  SALUDOS which was racing to its outside was checked as a consequence and lost ground.  Leaving the back straight KULU JASPER was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  SMASHNIAK OPAL which was trailing checked its running and raced wide as a consequence.

 

The greyhound SMASHNIAK OPAL underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off side shoulder and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

 

The greyhound HARA’S HOPE underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.  Stewards advised trainer Mr. D Titmarsh that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 71 Unsatisfactory Performance and must perform a satisfactory stewards’ trial 395m all tracks prior to nominating.

GARRARD’S HORSE AND HOUND NOVICE 395M

Even start with the exception of FAMOUS FOR FUN and DIAMOND JAKEY which were slow to begin.  Entering the back straight ELLA’S LOLLIEPOP and ARETHA BELLA bumped resulting in both greyhounds to be hampered.  Leaving the back straight ARETHA BELLA was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.

GLEN GALLON @ STUD NOVICE 395M

Even start.  Approaching the turn into the back straight LIL’S ROSE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Approaching the turn into the front straight PRECIOUS TO ME was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.

 

The greyhound DUSTY ROCKS underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

5.

CLINT’S CARAVAN WAREHOUSE NOVICE 395M

Even start with the exception of STOEL MY HEART and KULU SPARROW which were both marginally slow to begin.  Shortly after the start HOOTALUNA turned its head and made muzzle contact with SAY GOOD DAY resulting in both greyhounds to be momentarily hampered.  Through the first turn KULU SPARROW was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  STOLE MY HEART which was trailing was hampered as a consequence.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight HOOTALUNA turned its head and made muzzle contact with TRADING PLACES resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  KULU SPARROW which was racing to the outside of TRADING PLACES was checked as a consequence and lost ground.  Entering the front straight SAY GOOD DAY checked across the heels of COMANECI and was momentarily hampered.  At the completion of the race the lure driver failed to stop the lure in the required manner which resulted in the greyhounds retiring on the lure at a greater distance than normally required.

 

The greyhound HOOTALUNA underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.  Stewards advised trainer Mr. K Bussian that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 395m all tracks.

BRISGREYS.COM 5th GRADE 395M

Even start with the exception of BATTY LOVES BEER and GINA SANNETTE which were marginally slow to begin.  Shortly after the start THROTTLE ON was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Rounding the turn into the back straight REINHOLD was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Rounding the turn into the front straight THROTTLE ON raced wide for a short distance.

 

The greyhound BATTY LOVES BEER underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the near side hock and was stood down for a period of 28 days.

SKY RACING 5th GRADE 395M

Even start.  Shortly after the start PREMIER TEJAY was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Through the first turn UNIQUE GHOSTY, FLYING MAIL and PREMIER TEJAY were all tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight HOLLY KNOCKS was tightened for racing room, checked, shifted out and contacted the hindquarters of WAIKARIE SHAZ resulting in both greyhounds to be severely checked and lose considerable ground.  PREMIER TEJAY which was trailing was severely checked, fell and took no further part in the race.

 

The greyhound HOLLY KNOCKS underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound WAIKARIE SHAZ underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound PREMIER TEJAY underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

Even start with the exception of COOKIE NO CREAM and PENDITA which were marginally slow to begin.  Shortly after the start SHAYLOR ANDRE checked across the heels of SHAKEY TANGO and was momentarily hampered.  Through the first turn SHAKEY TANGO was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  CORY’S DIAMOND and DAVID’S MEMORY which were trailing were checked as a consequence and lost ground.  CORY’S DIAMOND and MIDNIGHT HAYZE collided over the latter stages of the race.

SULZANTI @ STUD 5th GRADE 395M

WIGGLE, RAMBLIN’ ROSE, SHAYLOR CLEDUS and SOUTHERN FLOSS were best to begin.  Through the first turn RAMBLIN’ ROSE, FEARSOME MISS and SHAYLOR CLEDUS were tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  IMA TALENT raced wide in the run to the finish which hampered the running of SOUTHERN FLOSS.

MANLY HOTEL 5th GRADE 395M

Even start with the exception of HARA’S JESSICA which was marginally slow to begin.  Through the first turn IMA TALENT was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  STEP BACK LASS which was trailing was checked as a consequence and lost ground.  Rounding the turn into the front straight IMA TALENT and ON TIGHT LINES collided.

 

The greyhound STEP BACK LASS underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off hind leg and was stood down for a period of 10 days.
