DOWNLOAD THE APP MAIDEN 331M Even
start. ESSENTIALLY PURE failed to
accelerate in the early stages of the race.
Leaving the back straight KONICHIWA was tightened for racing room,
checked and lost ground. Rounding the
turn into the front straight JUST FROSTY and WESTMEAD DAFFIE collided
resulting in JUST FROSTY being checked and lose ground. The
greyhound ESSENTIALLY PURE underwent a post race veterinarian examination and
was found to have suffered an injury to the near hind toe and was stood down
for a period of 7 days. |

ZILLMERE SPORTS CLUB
MAIDEN HEAT 1 331M SAGE OF OMAHA and MOCHACHINI MAN were best to begin. Entering the back straight JUST LIKE YAZZA
and MASTER DEAN collided. In the back
straight DEVIEL DOME and JUST LIKE YAZZA collided. MAC VEE commenced to give ground whilst leaving
the back straight. In the front
straight MOCHACHINI MAN and BUNDY CUTTER collided. The greyhound MAC VEE underwent a post race veterinarian
examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the chest muscle and
was stood down for a period of 10 days. |

GARRARD’S HORSE AND HOUND MADIEN HEAT 2 331M ROCK ON MOE
was best to begin. Rounding the turn
out of the back straight SURFING SIMMO and LITTLE DOTTY TOO collided
resulting in both greyhounds to be severely checked and lose considerable
ground. Approaching the turn into the
front straight PREMIER FRED was tightened for racing room, contacted the
running rail, shifted out and collided with QUICK FOOT, resulting in both
greyhounds to be checked and lost ground.
Entering the front straight PREMIER FRED and SURFING SIMMO
collided. LIL MISS PINKY raced wide in
the front straight. The greyhound
PREMIER FRED underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and no apparent
injuries were found. |

GELN GALLON @ STUD NOVICE 331M CELEBRITY BABE was best to begin. BURRUM STARSKY was slow to begin. Entering the back straight SMASHNIAK ROCKS
was tightened for racing room, severely checked and lost considerable
ground. Rounding the turn out of the
back straight RIPPING ESCAPE shifted out which hampered the running of BURRUM
STARSKY which was racing to its outside. The greyhound SMASHNIAK ROCKS underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

CLINT’S
CARAVAN WAREHOUSE NOVICE 331M MISS INDIVIDUAL was best to begin. Shortly after the start OLD MOON MADNESS
was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Rounding the turn into the back straight
TYSON’S FANTASY and LITTLE FILIPPA were tightened for racing room, checked
and lost ground. LITTLE FILIPPA raced
wide rounding the turn out of the back straight. Approaching the turn into the front
straight TYSON’S FANSTY was tightened for racing room, checked and lost
ground. OLD MOON MADNESS which was trailing
was checked as a consequence and lost ground. The greyhound LITTLE FILIPPA underwent a post-race
veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. When questioned over the performance of the
Greyhound trainer G Streatfield stated the greyhound was having its 2nd
race after winning at Armidale on 4 February 2017 and said that the greyhound
was very inexperienced and in his view did not handle the Albion Park
circuit, he further stated that he would not be returned LITTLE FILIPPA to
race at Albion Park until the greyhound gained more racing experience. After considering the matter stewards noted
his explanation. |

BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY 5th GRADE 331M Even start.
Shortly after the start JOHNNY THE FOX was tightened for racing room,
checked and lost ground. Approaching
the turn into the back straight KING WEBKE was tightened for racing room,
checked and lost ground. Rounding the
turn out of the back straight SAGA NOREN was tightened for racing room, shifted
out and collided with RUNYA DOWN which resulted in RUNYA DOWN shifting out
which hampered the running of DE BRUYNE which was racing to its outside. Rounding the turn into the front straight
RUNYA DOWN and KING WEBKE collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked
and lose ground. |

GRADE 331M Even start with the exception of RAPID EXPLOSION and
KANDAHAR PRINCE which were marginally slow to begin. Entering the back straight SULTAN OF RUM
was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Leaving the back straight KANDAHAR PRINCE
was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Approaching the turn into the front
straight TRAV’S GIFT and RAPID EXPLOSION collided resulting in both
greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.
Shortly after CINCINNATI JUICE turned its head and made muzzle contact
with SERIOUSLY GRAND resulting in SERIOUSLY GRAND to be checked and lose
ground. Stewards advised trainer Mr. A McIntosh that the
greyhound CINCINNATI JUICE would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 1st
offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 331m all tracks. |

RACING 3/4th GRADE 395M Even start. Through the first turn MINNIE’S HOPE and
HYDROGEN collided. Approaching the
turn into the back straight SMASH EM UP an ELL’S ALL CLASS collided resulting
in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground. Entering the front straight HOPE’S MAGIC
was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. |

GRADE 395M MR. WOODS was best to begin. Shortly after the start FLYING SOVEREIGN
and RED STEEL were both tightened for racing room, checked and lost
ground. Through the first turn SWEET
PEARL was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Shortly after FABULOUS ABBY was tightened
for racing room, checked and lost ground.
Entering the back straight BLACK SCORPION and MONEY BACK BEACH
collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground. Rounding the turn out of the back straight
BLACK SCORPION was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. The greyhound BLACK SCORPION underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. When questioned over the performance of MR. WOODS trainer
Mr. G Kadniak explained that the greyhound races best when drawn wide either
through box 6 or 8 would be his best preference, the greyhound jumped well
tonight and was found to have led easily as there was some interference to
greyhounds racing behind him. He
stated that MR. WOODS does not like to be crowded in its races and has a
tendency to perform below its best when racing amongst other greyhounds. He further stated that in his view BLACK
SCORPION which is trained by Mr. C Kadniak is a far superior greyhound and was
expected it to win and therefore did not support MR. WOODS in tonight’s
event. After reviewing previous videos
of previous starts of MR. WOODS here at Albion Park on 19 February 2017 which
supported Mr. G Kadniak’s his evidence Stewards noted his explanation. |

MANLY HOTEL 5th
GRADE 395M Even start, MAMA NATURE SAID, FERNLEE STAR, COSMO WAZ and
EVERTON BOY were all tightened for racing room through the first turn and
lost ground. OUTBACK FLYER commenced to give ground leaving the back straight
to finish a considerable distance from the remainder of the field. The greyhound OUTBACK FLYER underwent a post-race
veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the near
side wrist and was stood down for a period of 28 days. |

HOUND 5th GRADE 395M SUPA SMOOTH OSTI and BOGAN BABE were best to begin. Shortly after the start SOUTHERN FLOSS,
SHAYLOR CLEDUS, TRAV’S MAGIC and SMASHNIAK CLASS all raced tight resulting in
all greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.
Rounding the turn into the back straight SOUTHERN FLOSS shifted out
which hampered the running of SMASHNIAK CLASS which was racing to its
outside. |

Leaving the back straight SHE’S CRANKING was tightened for racing
room, checked and lost ground. NOAKI
FLYER, LEDECKY and IONA MACHINE which were all trailing were checked as a
consequence and lost ground.
Approaching the turn into the front straight DEEJAY BURN and LEDECKY
collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground. |
