APP MAIDEN 520M Even
start. Shortly after the start ICONIC
BEACH and AMUS UNLEASHED were both tightened for racing room, checked and
lost ground. Leaving the front
straight BINERAY BOY was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Rounding the turn out of the back straight
LITTLE LUCY improved onto the heels of ICONIC BEACH resulting in both
greyhounds to be momentarily hampered. |

GARRARD’S HORSE &
HOUND NOVICE 520M Even start.
Shortly after the start WAIKARIE NOEL, DUDE PERFECT, KAPPA NU, ELLA’S
LOLLIEPOP and LOZZA’S TROUBLE all raced tight resulting in all greyhounds to
be checked to varying degrees. In the
front straight on the 1st occasion WAIKARIE NOEL was tightened for
racing room, checked and lost ground.
Leaving the front straight WAIKARIE NOEL and ELLA’S LOLLIEPOP collided
resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground. KAPPA NU raced wide in the back straight. The greyhound WAIKARIE NOEL underwent a post-race
veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

start. Approaching the turn into the
front straight on the 1st occasion WISH YOU WILL was tightened for
racing room, checked and lost ground.
Entering the front straight on the 1st occasion IMA RUNAWAY
checked across the heels of UNIQUE KALEESI shifted out and collided with
THURSDAY WISH resulting in IMA RUNAWAY and THURSDAY WISH to be checked and
lose ground. WISH YOU WILL and LIL’S
ROSE both raced wide in the back straight. |

marginally slow to begin. Rounding the
turn into the front straight on the 1st occasion DREAM BLASTER and
PENULTIMATE collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose
ground. Rounding the turn into the
front straight on the final occasion CIGAR SAM and NOOREE DESSA collided
resulting in NOOREE DESSA to be checked and lose ground. The greyhound HOUDINI HI underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

5th GRADE 520M The greyhound KIALLA underwent a pre race veterinarian
examination and no apparent injuries were found. Even start with the exception of FROSTY ZERO which was
slow to begin. Approaching the turn
into the back straight SHOES TO FILL was tightened for racing room, checked
and lost ground. Rounding the turn out
of the back straight SHOES TO FILL and REFLECTED collided resulting in SHOES
TO FILL to be checked and lose ground. |

SKY RACING 5th GRADE 520M MAGIC HORNET was best to begin. ARDEN STREET was slow to begin. ZAFONIC DANCER failed to muster speed in
the early stages of the race. Leaving
the front straight MAGIC HORNET was tightened for racing room, checked and
lost ground. Rounding the turn out of
the front straight SO KAWAII and COSMO BILL collided resulting in both
greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.
Entering the back straight SO KAWAII and MAGIC HORNET collided
resulting in both greyhounds to be severely checked and lose considerable
ground. Leaving the back straight CASH
EXPLOSION was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. The greyhound MAGIC HORNET underwent a post-race
veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

GRADE 520M WHERE’S TEJAY was best to begin. Shortly after the start COSMO TRAV was
tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. In the front straight on the 1st
occasion PLENTY OF PUNCH, RANGER DANGER and CLASSY CHURCHIE all raced tight
resulting in all greyhounds to be checked and lose ground. COSMO TRAV which was trailing was hampered
as a consequence. Rounding the turn
out of the front straight COSMO TRAV and COPPER LIGHT collided resulting in
both greyhounds to be checked and lose considerable ground. Leaving the front straight PLENTY OF PUNCH
was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. The greyhound COSMO TRAV underwent a post-race
veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. The greyhound COPPER LIGHT underwent a post-race veterinarian
examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

@ STUD 3/4th GRADE 520M MY SPRITE was best to begin. In the front straight on the 1st
occasion ANGELIC MISS and WAY OF SHADOWS were tightened for racing room,
checked and lost ground. Rounding the
turn out of the front straight ALOTA AMY eased in its stride. Approaching the turn into the back straight
PUNCH RIGHT OUT and DON’T WEAKEN collided resulting in both greyhounds to be
checked and lose ground. Rounding the
turn out of the back straight ALOTA AMY again eased in its stride. Shortly after MASTER CHA CHA was tightened
for racing room, checked and lost ground.
Rounding the turn out of the back straight DON’T WEAKEN made contact
with the running rail and was checked as a consequence. MASTER CHA CHA which was trailing was
checked as a consequence. Rounding the
turn into the front straight ANGELIC MISS improved onto the heels of MASTER
CHA CHA and was checked as a consequence. The greyhound DON’T WEAKEN underwent a
post-race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. When questioned over the performance of ALOTA AMY trainer
Mr. K Mackenroth stated the greyhound was having its 1st race
start on 19 November 2016 at Ipswich where it was injured in that event. He stated the greyhound had worked well
since and had trialled extremely well leading up to today’s race and he
expected a forward showing. He said
that ALOTA AMY had received significant interference in the front straight on
the 1st occasion which in his view contributed to its overall
performance. Upon viewing the
available replays Mr. Mackenroth conceded that the greyhound had eased at
certain stages over the event however, he contributed to it being injured in
the early part of the race. He further
stated that he was of the view that ALOTA AMY is better suited to racing at
Ipswich rather than the Albion Park circuit and it would be his intention to
continue racing at that venue. After
considering all the available evidence and the fact that ALOTA AMY was found
to have injured its off hind leg, Stewards took no further action other than
to stand the greyhound down for a period of 10 days. The greyhound ALOTA AMY underwent a post-race
veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off
hind leg and was stood down for a period of 10 days. |

straight on the 1st occasion FABULOUS CYNDIE was tightened for
racing room, checked and lost ground.
Leaving the front straight SKY BOND and WHERE’S CODY collided
resulting in SKY BOND to be checked and lose ground. Leaving the front straight FLASH VENTURE
was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Rounding the turn out of the back straight
INVAR STAR was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. |

resulting in WITHOUT FAIL to be momentarily hampered. Entering the back straight WITHOUT FAIL
improved onto the heels of KORONG resulting in both greyhounds to be hampered. Approaching the turn out of the back
straight GEAR UP was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Rounding the turn out of the back straight
WATCH OUT RENALD checked across the heels of YOUR DEAL and was momentarily
hampered. Rounding the turn into the
front straight WATCH OUT RENALD and KORONG collided resulting in both
greyhounds to be checked and lose ground. |
