GREYHOUND SPORTING CLUB MAIDEN HEAT 1 395M DEL
REY was best to begin while THIS IS LEGIT was slowly away. In the 1st turn STATUE BRO was
tightened and lost ground and as a result SATAN’S GIFT and THIS IS LEGIT
which were following were inconvenienced as well as EBONNIE which was severely
checked and took no further competitive part in the event. The
greyhound EBONNIE underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found
to have suffered an injury to the off side shoulder and was stood down for a
period of 3 weeks. |

ZILLMERE SPORTS CLUB MAIDEN
HEAT 2 395M EMBER FLARE and PREMIER FRED were best to begin while
MYONE ROSE was slowly away. Entering
the back straight RED JUMPER checked off heels and collided with TIARA GLOW
and FREE SPIRIT causing FREE SPIRIT to be hampered and TIARA GLOW and RED
JUMPER to lose ground. In the back
straight MAD GIRL and EMBER FLARE collided and MAD GIRL lost significant
ground. Approaching the top turn IKE
SANNETTE checked off heels. In the top
turn IKE SANNETTE lost ground in clear running. RED JUMPER was wide in the top turn. Entering the home straight FREE SPIRIT
checked off heels. The greyhound IKE SANNETTE underwent a post-race veterinary
examination and no apparent injuries were found. Stewards advised trainer Mr. N Goodwin that
the greyhound would be charged under Rule 69 (A) Failing to Pursue, 1st
offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 395m all tracks. |

AND HOUND MAIDEN HEAT 3 395M KULU DOT COM began awkwardly while
ADHARA GOLD was slowly away. Shortly
after the start SMART SHIRL and GALWAY BLUEBIRD collided and were
unbalanced. Entering the back straight
BLACK KOALA was hampered as REGAL HOPE shifted out. REALISTIC was wide in the top turn. In the home straight REALISTIC and ADHARA
GOLD raced tight and bumped. The greyhound KULU DOT COM underwent a
post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

STUD MAIDEN FINAL 395M CREAM WHISK was best to
begin. Shortly after the start REGAL
CYNDIE was tightened. In the 1st
turn JESS ROSE HI was tightened and lose ground. As JESS ROSE HI lost ground REGAL CYNDIE
and JUST FROSTY who were following were hampered. Approaching the top turn IRON MONARCH
checked off heels and collided with BLUE DOT causing this greyhound to fall
and take no further competitive part in the event. The greyhound BLUE DOT
underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were
found. |

CLINT’S
CARAVAN WAREHOUSE NOVICE 395M Even start.
Shortly after the start ADHARA STEEL collided with SMASHNIAK ROCKS
causing this greyhound to shift out and bump with KULU JASPER. In the 1st turn KULU SPARROW and
PRINCESS LIGHT were tightened, became unbalanced and lost ground. Shortly after, KULU JASPER checked off
heels. Leaving the 1st turn
KULU SPARROW and PRINCESS LIGHT collided causing KULU SPARROW to lose
ground. Entering the back straight
SMASHNIAK ROCKS checked off heels and lost ground. In the top turn ELLIE’S LAST was tightened
and lost ground. |

BRISGREYS.COM 4/5th GRADE 395M Even start. Shortly
after the start TRAV’S GIFT and GRAND ROSIE bumped and were unbalanced. In the 1st turn GRAND ROSIE,
MASTER CORSAIR, CLASSIC TERRA, HYDROGEN, WESTERN HONEY and IRONBAR JILL were
all tightened and became unbalanced.
As a result, WESTERN HONEY was severely checked and lost ground. Entering the back straight IRONBAR JILL was
tightened. GRAND ROSIE was wide in the
back and home straights. The greyhound IRONBAR JILL underwent a post-race veterinary
examination and no apparent injuries were found. When questioned on the performance of this
greyhound trainer Mr. A. Sommerfield stated that typically the greyhound
doesn’t perform well from odd numbered boxes as it prefers to spend less time
in the starting boxes. Mr. Sommerfield
stated that he did not support the greyhound on this occasion. Stewards noted
the trainer’s comments. The greyhound GRAND ROSIE underwent a post-race veterinary
examination and no apparent injuries were found. The greyhound WESTERN HONEY underwent a post-race veterinary
examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

GRADE 395M Even start. CUZZY
BROMAC, MINNIE’S HOPE and FABULOUS ABBY were all tightened shortly after the
start. These 3 greyhounds all bumped
and were unbalanced in the 1st turn. In the back straight GOOD ODDS KATE was
hampered as CUZZY BROMAC shifted out. |

FOLLOW
US ON FACEBOOK @ BRISGREYS 1/2nd GRADE 395M WAZZA KING and NEEDY AND GREEDY were
best to begin. In the 1st
turn NEEDY AND GREEDY and FABULOUS WALL were checked and CRAZY VIXON which
was following was hampered. Entering
the back straight MAHAILIA improved onto the heels of DAYSEAS ASTRA and both
greyhounds lost ground as a result. In
the back straight FABULOUS WALL improved onto the heels of NEEDY AND GREEDY
and both greyhounds were severely checked.
Leaving the back straight DAYSEAS ASTRA was tightened. Entering the home straight MAHAILIA checked
off heels. The greyhound NEEDY AND GREEDY
underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were
found. The greyhound FABULOUS WALL underwent
a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

GRADE 395M DUSTY’S CHANCE, TRISHA NOLAN and SOLO DANCER were best to
begin. In the 1st turn
FERNLEE STAR was tightened. Entering
the back straight DUSTY’S CHANCE and BLANCHETT were tightened and lost
ground. Entering the home straight
LUCKMAN and DUSTY’S CHANCE collided and were unbalanced. |

GRADE 395M TOLL EVASION was best to begin while BENNE FORTUNA was
slow. Shortly after the start HARA’S
JESSICA and ELL’S ALL CLASS were tightened.
In the 1st turn BENNE FORTUNA checked off heels and
collided with ELL’S ALL CLASS.
Entering the back straight FEARLESS DANCER and BLACK SCORPION
collided. Entering the top turn HARA’S
JESSICA shifted out and hampered BLACK SCORPION. |

BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY 5th
GRADE 395M DRAGON DANCER and FEARSOME MISS were best to begin. In the 1st turn BELLA LEE was
tightened and lost ground. Shortly
after, DRAGON DANCER and GALLANT EXPLORER came together and lost ground. MIDNIGHT HUNTER was wide in the back
straight. The greyhound COWBOY a post-race veterinary examination
and was found to have suffered an injury to the off side wrist and was stood
down for a period of 10 days. |

GARRARD’S HORSE AND
HOUND 5th GRADE 395M RUN KAY RUN was best to begin. In the 1st turn SOUTHERN FLOSS
was tightened and lost ground.
Entering the back straight JIGGLE SPLAT was tightened and lost ground. FLASHING FERGO which was following was
hampered. The ‘all clear’ for this race was delayed due to a
malfunction with the semaphore board which caused the incorrect numbers to be
displayed. Once this issue was rectified and stewards had examined the photo
finish the ‘all clear’ was declared. The greyhound JIGGLE SPLAT underwent a post-race veterinary
examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off side pin and
was stood down for a period of 14 days. |
