QUICK AND LIVELY was best to begin.  HAY MISS KNOCKA was slow to begin.  Entering the back straight SPIRITUAL MAN was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Shortly after MASTER DEAN was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Leaving the back straight SPIRITUAL MAN was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  MASTER DEAN and COMETRON FLYER both raced wide rounding the turn out of the back straight.

 

The greyhound QUICK AND LIVELY underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound SPIRITUAL MAN underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the near side hock and was stood down for a period of 7 days.

ZILLMERE SPORTS CLUB MAIDEN 331M

Even start with the exception of FU DE KAHN and FROSTY BLACK JAY which were slow to begin.  Leaving the back straight BOOMTRON COMET was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Rounding the turn into the front straight SWEET AND CLASSY and PINK SUNSET bumped on a number of occasions.

 

The greyhound FU DE KAHN underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the near side hip and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

Even start with the exception of CLASSIC CHA CHA which was marginally slow to begin.  Entering the back straight TAJO improved onto the heels of CAPTAIN MORSE and was checked as a consequence and lost ground.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight CAPTAIN MORSE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  GOLD SHERONA which was trailing was checked as a consequence and lost ground.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight TAJO, FORGOTTEN ALOTA and CLASSIC CHA CHA all raced wide.  Rounding the turn into the front straight CAPTAIN MORSE, GOLD SHERONA and TAJO raced tight resulting in all greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.

GLEN GALLON @ STUD NOVICE 331M

Even start with the exception of COSMIC REX which was marginally slow to begin.  In the back straight SAMURAI PIZZACAT was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight VINAKA HOLLY improved onto the heels of WESTMEAD DAFFIE and was momentarily hampered.  At the same time HARBOUR DRIVE and TYSON’S FANTASY collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  COSMIC REX raced wide rounding the turn out of the back straight.  Approaching the turn into the front straight SAGE OF OMAHA was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Rounding the turn into the front straight SAMURAI PIZZACAT and TYSON’S FANTASY collided.  For the majority of the front straight WESTMEAD DAFFIE shifted in which hampered the running of VINAKA HOLLY.  In the front straight during the latter stages of the race SAMURAI PIZZACAT and TYSON’S FANTASY collided.

Even start with the exception of CLASSY BARCY which was slow to begin.  Through the 1st turn QUEEN OF SHOW was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Leaving the back straight DAVID’S MEMORY was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.

BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY 5th GRADE 395M

Even start with the exception of IRONBAR RICKY and MISS CORELKO.  Through the 1st turn AGRO’S THUNDER was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  ELLY’S REIGN which was trailing was checked as a consequence and lost ground.  Shortly after SPLIT IT was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  IRONBAR RICKY which was trailing was checked as a consequence and lost ground.  Leaving the back straight IRONBAR RICKY was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Approaching the turn into the front straight IRONBAR RICKY improved onto the heels of SPLIT IT and was checked as a consequence.

 

The greyhound IRONBAR RICKY underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.  When questioned over the performance trainer Mr. R Ogden stated that the greyhound had been slow to begin and suffered interference on a number of occasions during the event and he was not disappointed with its overall performance.  He stated that he expected IRONBAR RICKY to win tonight and had trained well leading up to the race.  He further stated that although the greyhound weighed in the same as its previous race start it would be his intention to lighten its weight for its future racing.  Stewards noted his comments

Even start with the exception of MINNIE’S HOPE and QUEENIES BEST which were both marginally slow to begin.  Through the 1st turn, HYDROGEN and WHERE’S CODY collided.  In the back straight RUN KAY RUN and MAGIC PASS collided which resulting in MAGIC PASS to be checked and lose ground.  WHERE’S CODY which was trailing was checked as a consequence and lost ground.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight HYDROGEN was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Rounding the turn into the front straight QUEENIES BEST and WHERE’S CODY collided resulting in both greyhounds to be severely checked and lose ground.

 

The greyhound QUEENIES BEST underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound WHERE’S CODY underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the near hind foot and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

Even start with the exception of FABULOUS ABBY which was slow to begin.  Approaching the turn into the back straight FABULOUS ABBY improved onto the hindquarters of MR. WOODS resulting in MR. WOODS to be checked and lose ground. MR. WOODS commenced to give ground in the back straight to finish a considerable distance from the remainder of the field.

 

The greyhound MR. WOODS underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the near side hip and was stood down for a period of 28 days.

Even start.  Through the 1st turn FROSTY BROWN was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Entering the back straight FROSTY BROWN shifted out which hampered the running of FROSTY ZERO.

MANLY HOTEL 5th GRADE 395M

Even start.  Through the 1st turn IMA TALENT, STOLE MY HEART and RADI collided resulting in all  greyhounds to be checked and lose ground with STOLE MY HEART to lose considerable ground.  Entering the back straight LA CHASE RAPIDE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. LA CHASE RAPIDE commenced to give ground in the back straight to finish a considerable distance from the remainder of the field.

 

The greyhound STOLE MY HEART underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound LA CHASE RAPIDE underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.  Stewards advised trainer Mr. M James that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 71 Unsatisfactory Performance must perform a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 395 prior to nominating.

 

The greyhound IAM TALENT underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off hind toes and was stood down for a period of 28 days.

Even start.  Entering the back straight BOSANOVA was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Leaving the back straight PREMIER TEJAY was tightened for racing room, severely checked, fell and took no further part in the race.

 

The greyhound BOSANOVA underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off hind foot and was stood down for a period of 7 days.

 

The greyhound PREMIER TEJAY underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the near hind toe and was stood down for a period of 7 days.

Even start with the exception of FAMOUS FOR FUN which was marginally slow to begin.  Shortly after the start HARA’S HEAT stumbled on the mat and lost ground.  SPRINGFIELD BOY commenced to give ground in the back straight to finish a considerable distance from the remainder of the field.

 

The greyhound FAMOUS FOR FUN underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.
