Stewards Trial 1 – 395m

The greyhound CORY’S DIAMOND performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 395m in a time of 22.97 and is now cleared all tracks.

 

Stewards Trial 1 – 520m

The greyhound ROCKIN’ ALL OVER performed a satisfactory stewards’ trail over the distance of 520m in a time of 31.02 and is now cleared all tracks.

 

RACE REPORTS

 

1.

UBET – DOWNLOAD THE APP MAIDEN 520M

TWIN GALAXY, YOU CALLED and ALPHA GEORGIOU were best to begin.  Shortly after the start LITTLE LUCY, NOTHING ELSE and PAUA TO LAUNCH were tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Approaching the turn out of the front straight LITTLE LUCY was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Rounding the turn out of the front straight YOU CALLED and PAUA TO LAUNCH collided resulting in PAUA TO LAUNCH to be severely checked and fall taking no further competitive part in the race.  YOU CALLED and LITTLE LUCY were both severely checked as a result of this incident and lost considerable ground.  Approaching the turn into the back straight TOMMY TUCKER was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Rounding the turn into the front straight LOOSE TABACCO and TOMMY TUCKER collided.

 

The greyhound PAUA TO LAUNCH underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Stewards informed trainer Mr. N Tonks of their concerns regarding LOOSE TABACCO actions rounding the turn into the front straight however, could not be comfortably satisfied that the greyhound had failed to pursue the lure at that stage of the race and therefore gave it the benefit of the doubt.

GARRARD’S HORSE AND HOUND MAIDEN 520M

Even start with the exception of JACKIE’S LADY, which was slow to begin.  JACKIE’S LADY failed to muster speed in the early stages of the race.  Approaching the turn out of the front straight FREINDZ was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Leaving the back straight HAY MISS KNOCKA commenced to give ground.

 

The greyhound HAY MISS KNOCKA underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.  When questioned over the performance of the greyhound trainer Mr. L Lewis stated that he was of the view that HAY MISS KNOCKA is of average ability and may not have handled the step up in class to a grade 2 meeting.  He said that he would continue to race HAY MISS KNOCKA over the lesser grade meetings until she can gain some form and be more competitive in the stronger class fields.

 

The greyhound JACKIE’S LADY underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

THIRTY TALKS @ STUD NOVICE 520M

Even start with the exception of BACK ON TRACK and HURUNUI ALYSSA, which were both marginally slow to begin.  Rounding the turn out of the front straight MUSTANG NOVA shifted out and collided with BRIGHT SATELLITE, which resulted in BRIGHT SATELLITE shifting out and colliding with HURUNUI ALYSSA.  Both BRIGHT SATELLITE and HURUNUI ALYSSA were both severely checked as a result of this incident and lost considerable ground.  Entering the back straight SORRENTO was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.

 

The greyhound BRIGHT SATELLITE underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound CYCLONE BARCI underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off side hock and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

CLINT’S CARAVAN WAREHOUSE 0 – 3 WINS 600M

Even start with the exception of MAYBE PETE and RUN CHUCK Run which were both slow to begin.  Rounding the turn into the front straight on the 1st occasion ABBY NORMAL, WAY BEFORE YOU an SPRING RUNNER were tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Entering the front straight on the final occasion RUN CHUCK RUN turned its head and failed to pursue the lure with due commitment.  As a result of this incident ELLA GRACIA which was racing to its outside was checked, shifted out and collided with MISS MINAJ resulting in both ELLA GRACIA and MISS MINAJ were checked.

 

The greyhound ABBY NORMAL underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the near hind webbing and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

 

The greyhound RUN CHUCK RUN underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the near side pin and was stood down for a period of 10 days.  Stewards advised trainer Mr. W Scannella that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 69 (A) Failing to Pursue, 2nd offence, 3 months plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 600m all tracks.

5.

SKY RACING 0 – 3 WINS 600M

DREAM BLASTER and UNIQUE KALEESE were best to begin.  LOZZA’S TROUBLE was slow to begin.  LITTLE MISS SHOW and KAPPA NU raced wide in the front straight on the 1st occasion.

BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY 5th GRADE 520M

Even start with the exception of SINGLETON, which was slow to begin.  Shortly after the start THURSDAY WISH, STILL COUNTING, ROMAN ARMOUR and LOVED UP were all tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Leaving the front straight STILL COUNTING was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  ROMAN ARMOUR, which was trailing, was checked as a consequence and lost ground.  THURSDAY WISH and SINGLTON were both checked as a result of this incident and lost ground.  Rounding the turn out of the front straight THURSDAY WISH and ROMAN ARMOUR collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  Approaching the turn into the front straight and entering the front straight ROMAN ARMOUR and SINGLETON collided on a number of occasions.

 

The greyhound ROMAN ARMOUR underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

Even start with the exception of TOOKA TURN, which was marginally slow to begin.  Leaving the front straight FAB DOOLEY was tightened for racing room and momentarily hampered.  Leaving the back straight FAB DOOLEY was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  MY MOJO commenced to give ground in the back straight to finish a considerable distant from the remainder of the field.

 

The greyhound MY MOJO underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.  When questioned over the performance of the greyhound trainer Mr. M James stated that the greyhound had trialled at Albion Park the previous week in a time of 31.60 however, in his view it was out graded in tonight’s event as the greyhound is eligible to be in a novice race whereas tonight was a Grade 5.  He stated that it would be his intention to restrict MY MOJO future racing to a novice only or at a country track.  Whilst stewards were of the view that the performance of MY MOJO bordered on unsatisfactory after considering Mr. M James’ evidence they were prepared to give the greyhound one more chance to race in the desired manner.

BRISGREYS.COM 4/5th GRADE 520M

SO SABRINA, PRINCESS EMALYS, QUINTASTIC and CAPTAIN TIL were best to begin.  OUTBACK SUNSHINE was slow to begin.  Approaching the turn out of the front straight PRINCESS EMALYS was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Leaving the front straight PRINCESS EMALYS and SENOR’S SON collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  COOPOLLY BEACH and PUNCH RIGHT OUT which were trailing were checked as a consequence and lost ground.  Approaching the turn into the front straight OUTBACK SUNSHINE checked across the heels of QUINTASTIC on a number of occasions and was hampered as a consequence.  Rounding the turn into the front straight PRINCESS EMALYS and SENOR’S SON collided.

Even start with the exception of HARA’S JESSICA, which was marginally slow to begin.  Shortly after the start KORONG was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Approaching the turn into the back straight JACOBY RAIDER checked off across the heels of STATUE BRO and lost ground.  Shortly after KORONG was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Entering the back straight BIG TURLS was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Entering the front straight SENOR’S HEIR and STATUE BRO bumped.

THE MANLY HOTEL 5th GRADE 520M

Even start with the exception of FLAPPING GUMS, which was marginally slow to begin.  Approaching the turn out of the front straight CAN OF SPRITE, MIGHTY NOVA and SPORTFAN were tightened for racing room, resulting in CAN OF SPRITE and MIGHTY NOVA to lose ground with SPORTFAN being severely checked falling, taking no further competitive part in the race.  Rounding the turn out of the front straight UNIQUE MOTIVE checked off the heels of FLAPPING GUMS and lost ground as a result.

 

The greyhound SPORTFAN underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.
