Stewards Trial 1 – 395m The greyhound ELING
FEELING performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 395m in
a time of 23.07 and is now cleared all tracks. The greyhound
HOOTALUNA performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 395m
in a time of 22.94 and is now cleared all tracks. Stewards Trial 1 – 520m The greyhound
JALAPENO performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 520m in
a time of 30.12 and is now cleared all tracks. The greyhound ALPHA
NIKE failed a stewards’ trial over the distance of 520m. The greyhound BOGAN
DANCER performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 520m in
a time of 30.44 and is now cleared all tracks. |

DOWNLOAD THE APP MAIDEN 520M FAB
FABIO was slow to begin. Shortly after
the start RICHMOND ROAD and BEER SHACK collided and were unbalanced. In the front straight SHAKEY SHEBA and
FRIENDZ raced tight and unbalanced.
Approaching the 1st turn BEER SHACK, RICHMOND ROAD, FAB
FABIO and FRIENDZ all collided and became unbalanced and lost ground. In the 1st turn BEER SHACK and
FRIENDZ collided. In the top turn
SHAKEY SHEBA checked off heels and shifted out causing NEWS STORY which was
following to be inconvenienced.
Entering the home straight BEER SHACK and FAB FABIO collided. The
greyhound BEER SHACK underwent a post-race veterinary examination, was found
to have suffered an injury to the near side hip, and was stood down for a
period of 10 days. |

GARRARD’S HORSE AND
HOUND NOVICE 520M LAST DRINKS was best to begin while JAYCEE’S LADY was
slowly away. Shortly after the start
DUDE PERFECT was tightened. In the
front straight SALUDOS and MRS POLETTI were checked as LEEROY RAGER shifted
in abruptly. Approaching the 1st
turn HURUNUI ALYSSA was tightened and lost ground. Leaving the back straight LEEROY RAGER was
checked and lost ground. In the home
straight HURUNUI ALYSSA checked off heels. The greyhound LEEROY RACER underwent a post-race veterinary
examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off side pin and
was stood down for a period of 21 days. |

THIRTY TALKS @ STUD 0 – 3 WINS 600M WATCH OUT
RENALD was best to begin while ALPHA CHAOS and LITTLE MISS SHOW were slowly
away. Shortly after the start ELLA
GRACIA, WAY BEFORE YOU and AUSSIE DIAMOND were all checked. Entering the home straight WAY BEFORE YOU
checked off heels. In the run to the
finish ELLA GRACIA shifted out and marred the running of LITTLE MISS SHOW. The greyhound
ELLA GRACIA underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent
injuries were found. Stewards advised
trainer Mr. J. Crawford that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 69
Marring, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial
600m all tracks. |

CLINT’S CARAVAN WAREHOUSE 5th GRADE 520M COSADO SUN and HERO HAYDOS were best to begin. In the front straight NATURAL LAD checked
off heels. Shortly after, WHO DAT GUN
and SMASHNIAK MARCY were tightened. In
the 1st turn HERO HAYDOS was tightened and shifted out colliding
with IRONBAR RICKY. STILL COUNTING which was following was hampered as a
result. In the 1st turn
NATURAL LAD checked off heels and collided with IRONBAR RICKY and both
greyhounds became severely unbalanced.
Leaving the 1st turn SMASHNIAK MARCY checked off heels and
HERO HAYDOS that was following was inconvenienced. Entering the top turn STILL COUNTING was
tightened and lost ground. The greyhound HERO HAYDOS underwent a post-race veterinary
examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

RACING 5th GRADE 520M ZAFONIC FORCE and JACOBY RAIDER were marginally slow to
begin. In the front straight PLENTY OF
PUNCH was tightened. Entering the 1st
turn HURRICANE CHANCE, ZAFONIC FORCE and ORANGE THUNDER collided and were
unbalanced. ALPHA HECTOR, KORONG and
JACOBY RAIDER that were following were inconvenienced. Shortly after, ALPHA HECTOR, HURRICANE
CHANCE and KORONG collided causing HURRICANE CHANCE and KORONG to lose
ground. Entering the top turn PLENTY
OF PUNCH was tightened. |

begin. In the front straight ALPHA
MAMA was tightened. Approaching the 1st
turn DISCO DOLLY was tightened and lost ground. Shortly after, BITTEN BYE was hampered on
the heels of SO SABRINA and shifted out, colliding with FARAHMAC. Entering the back straight ALPHA MAMA
checked off heels and DISCO DOLLY that was following was hampered. |

TO FILL was tightened shortly after the start. In the front straight KIKEM STORMY and
TOOKA TURN collided causing TOOKA TURN to lose ground. Shortly after, PREPARE YOURSELF was checked
and lost ground. In the 1st
turn PREPARE YOURSELF and KIKEM STORMY collided. Approaching the first turn PATRONUS checked
off heels and was hampered and WAY OF SHADOWS which was following was also
inconvenienced. In the top turn WAY OF
SHADOWS was checked and shifted in causing PATRONUS which was racing to its
inside to be inconvenienced. In the
home straight PATRONUS checked off heels. The greyhound PREPARE YOURSELF underwent a post-race veterinary
examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

BEST 8 520M PREMIER JET was best to begin while
YOUI and EL CHAD were slowly away. In
the front straight QUINTASTIC and FAST AZZ EL collided. Approaching the 1st turn PREMIER
JET was tightened and lost ground and QUINTASTIC that was following was
inconvenienced. Shortly after, CAPTAIN
THURSDAY checked off heels and YOUI that was following was hampered. TORQUE FLIGHT seeded ground in the home
straight. The greyhound TORQUE FLIGHT underwent
a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. When questioned on the greyhound’s poor performance
over the concluding stages trainer Mr. A. Kennewell noted that the greyhound
was returning from a lengthy spell from a stopper tendon injury and that he
expected the greyhound to tire somewhat over the concluding stages, though
not to the extent witnessed in this event. Mr. Kennewell advised stewards
that he would continue to condition the greyhound for 520m events going
forward. Stewards noted the trainer’s comments. |
