DOWNLOAD THE APP MAIDEN 331M The
start of the event was delayed due to an interstate harness race. HAY
YOU STAR, LIL MISS PINKY and SAD REALITY were best to begin. Shortly after the start POLLY’S MAID was
tightened for room and checked. NAVAJO
PRINCESS which was trailing was checked as a consequence. Approaching the turn out of the back
straight HAY YOU STAR was tightened for room and checked. Shortly after FARCELONA LASS was tightened
for room and checked. Rounding the
turn out of the back straight HAY YOU STAR improved onto the heels of
FARCELONA LASS resulting in HAY YOU STAR to be severely checked. Approaching the turn into the front
straight SABANG was tightened for room, checked and shifted outwards. POLLY’S MAID which was trailing checked
outwards to avoid that runner’s heels.
In the home straight LIL MISS PINKY raced wide. |

MAIDEN 331M CRAZY BEE
LADY was best to begin with DYNAMITE PACE and PEARL’S LIL GEM slowly
away. In the back straight PEARL’S LIL
GEM was tightened for room and hampered.
Approaching the turn out of the back straight FROSTY BLACK JAY was
tightened for room and checked.
PEARL’S LIL GEM and MY LITTLE JEMMA which were trailing were checked
and forced out wider on the turn as a consequence. Entering the turn out of the back straight
HAY MISS KNOCKA was tightened for room and checked. Rounding the turn into the front straight
FROSTY BLACK JAY bumped DYNAMITE PACE resulting in that runner to be checked. The greyhound
MY LITTLE JEMMA underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent
injuries were found. |

GARRARD’S HORSE AND HOUND 5th GRADE 331M WESTMEAD
DAFFIE was best to begin with BLUSHING MEL slowly away. Shortly after the start KALIMNA was
tightened for room, checked and took no further part in the event. THIRTY EIGHT which was racing to its
outside was checked as a consequence. The greyhound
THIRTY EIGHT underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and was found to
have suffered a minor laceration to the near-side fore webbing but was not
stood down from racing. The greyhound
KALIMNA underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and no apparent
injuries were found. Stewards advised
trainer Mr. D Fitzgerald that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 69
(A) Failing to Pursue, 2nd offence, 3 months plus a satisfactory
stewards’ trial 331m all tracks. |

WILLY was best to begin with KINDA HOT slowly away. Shortly after the start BOOMTRON COMET,
KAGO and ROMAN SAND were all tightened for room and checked to varying
degrees. Entering the turn out of the
back straight TORNEY and GUDERA SPITFIRE collided resulting in TORNEY to be
checked and GUDERA SPITFIRE to be checked and shift out wide on the
turn. Rounding the turn into the front
straight KINDA HOT and TORNEY were tightened for room and severely checked. The
greyhound KINDA HOT underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no
apparent injuries were found. |

STORY and ELLY’S REIGN were marginally slow to begin. Entering the turn out of the back straight
GHOST STORY was tightened for room and checked. Shortly after ROAD CAM was tightened for
room and hampered. Rounding the turn
into the front straight LITE ME UP shifted outwards and made contact with the
hindquarters of FLASH GEE resulting in both runners to be checked. In the home straight LITE ME UP and FLASH
GEE raced wide. |

GRADE 395M READY
TO MOVE, DORREGO and GALLEON were marginally slow to begin. Through the first turn READY TO MOVE and
BILLY BEAN were tightened for room and severely checked. DORREGO and GALLEON which were trailing
were checked as a consequence.
Rounding the turn into the back straight READY TO MOVE was tightened
for room and momentarily hampered.
Entering the turn out of the back straight READY TO MOVE was tightened
for room, checked then shifted out wide on the turn. DORREGO which was trailing was hampered as
a consequence. The
greyhound BILLY BEAN underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was
found to have suffered an injury to the off side wrist and was stood down for
a period of 10 days. |

1 PHOTOGRAPHY 5th GRADE 520M COSADO SUN was best to begin. At the start THROTTLE ON and CAPREGAS
bumped resulting in both runners to be hampered. In the front straight SUMMER’S PRANCER
commenced to give ground and then took no further competitive part in the
event. Entering the turn out of the
front straight TRISTAN CANNON, and
FARAHMAC collided resulting in FARAHMAC to be severely checked, fall and take
no further competitive part in the event.
As a result of this incident CAPREGAS was checked and lost ground and
TRISTAN CANNON and THROTTLE ON were severely checked and lost considerable
ground. Entering the turn out of the
back straight CHILLED HEAT and INNER WISDOM collided resulting in both
runners to be checked. CAPREGAS which was trailing was hampered as a
consequence. Rounding the turn into
the front straight CHILLED HEAT and INNER WISDOM bumped resulting in both
runners to be hampered. The greyhound FARAHMAC underwent a
post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. The greyhound SUMMER’S PRANCER
underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered
an injury to the near side hip support and was stood down for a period of 28
days. |

Approaching the first turn YOUR
DEAL and MIDNIGHT HAYZE were tightened for room and checked. Rounding the turn into the back straight
SPLENDID STAR was tightened for room and checked. Entering the back straight PINK SCISSORS
was tightened for room, severely checked and lost ground. In the back straight MIDNIGHT HAYZE was
wide. Approaching the turn out of the
back straight YOUR DEAL checked off heels.
Entering the turn out of the back straight SPLENDID STAR made contact
with the heels of NO JOCKEY NEEDED resulting in both runners to be
checked. INTERACTION which was racing
to the inside and YOUR DEAL which was trailing were both checked as a
consequence. Rounding the turn into
the front straight SPLENDID STAR checked off heels. |

MATE KICK was slow to begin. Rounding
the turn into the back straight OLD MATE KICK improved onto the heels of BANG
ON TARGET resulting in both runners to be checked. KOORINGA BUD which was racing to their
outside was hampered as a consequence.
Through the turn out of the back straight FABRICATED and GIGGLE SPLAT
collided resulting in both runners to be checked. Rounding the turn into the front straight
KOORINGA BUD and FABRICATED bumped resulting in both runners to be hampered. In the front straight OLD MATE KICK was
wide. |

after the start WIGGLE, POWER OF PENNY and SAMURAI PIZZACAT were all
tightened for room and checked.
Through the first turn KIRKHAM ZOEY was tightened for room and
checked. Shortly after POWER OF PENNY
was tightened for room and checked. In
the back straight COOKIE NO CREAM was tightened for room and hampered. Approaching the turn into the back straight
WIGGLE was tightened for room and hampered.
POWER OF PENNY which was trailing was hampered as a consequence. Rounding the turn into the front straight
WIGGLE and SAMURAI PIZZACAT bumped resulting in both runners to be hampered. |

5th GRADE 395M FROSTY
FANTASY, SMASHNIAK CLASS and EUROA AZAZ were all best to begin. Approaching the first tur KORONG and CUPPA
TEA KIWI were tightened for room and checked.
Entering the turn out of the back straight KORONG and EUROA AZAZ
collided resulting in EUROA AZAZ to be checked and lose ground. Rounding the turn into the front straight
CUPPA TEA KIWI and EUROA AZAZ collided resulting in both runners to be
checked. The
greyhound NAUGHTY JESS underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was
found to have suffered a minor laceration to the tongue but was not stood
down from racing. Stewards
questioned trainer Mr. M James with regards to the actions of KORONG entering
the turn out of the back straight.
After considering all evidence stewards could not be comfortably
satisfied that the greyhound had breached any rule and therefore gave it the
benefit of the doubt. |
