DIAMOND SAND performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of
331m in a time 19.33 and is now cleared to all tracks. The greyhound NO
WAITING performed a satisfactory 6 month trial over the distance of 331m in a
time of 19.48. The greyhound
FROSTY VANE performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of
331m in a time of 19.65 and is now cleared all tracks except Ipswich. The greyhound GOLD
DREAMER performed a satisfactory 6 month trial over the distance of 331m in a
time of 19.57. |

DOWNLOAD THE APP MAIDEN 520M M.
BELVEDERE, APACHE BROOK and IRINKA GAIL were best to begin. Shortly after the start and through the
front straight on the first occasion, IRINKA GAIL shifted inwards towards the
rail and tightened the running of APACHE BROOK which resulted in that runner
to be checked. BILLY BOY which was
trailing that runner was checked as a consequence. DON’T SELL which was racing to their
outside was hampered as a consequence.
Approaching the turn out of the front straight SIMMSY’S NINERON was
tightened for room and momentarily hampered.
Entering the turn out of the front straight PHANTOM PETE contacted the
heels of DON’T SELL resulting in PHANTOM PETE to be severely checked, fall
and take no further competitive part in the event. Rounding the turn into the back straight
BILLY BOY and SIMMSY’S NINERON collided resulting in both runners to be
checked. Entering the turn out of the
back straight MR. BELVEDERE was tightened for room and checked. DON’T SELL which was trailing was hampered
as a consequence. Rounding the turn
into the front straight MR. BELVEDERE was tightened for room and hampered. The
greyhound PHANTOM PETE underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no
apparent injuries were found. |

HOUND MAIDEN FINAL 520M BELLA
CETTE was best to begin. Shortly after
the start TWIN GALAXY and NIKOLUCKY were tightened for room and
hampered. Entering the turn out of the
front straight FROSTY BEJAY and FAB FABIO bumped resulting in FAB FABIO to be
hampered and shift out wider. TWIN
GALAXY and NIKOLUCKY which were trailing shifted outwards to avoid that
runner’s heels and lost some ground.
Rounding the turn out of the front straight FAB FABIO faltered and
lost some ground. TWIN GALAXY and
NIKOLUCKY which were trailing collided heavily with FAB FABIO resulting in
FAB FABIO and NIKOLUCKY to be severely checked, fall and take no further part
in the event and TWIN GALAXY to be severely checked and lose considerable
ground. BELLA CETTE was wide in the
home straight. The
greyhound TWIN GALAXY underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no
apparent injuries were found. The
greyhound NIKOLUCKY underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no
apparent injuries were found. The
greyhound FAB FABIO underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was
found to have suffered an injury to the off side hock and humanely
euthanised. |

DEBONAIR was best to begin and SHAKEY SHEBA was slowly away. Shortly after the start AURIGA RAVEN was tightened
for room and momentarily hampered.
Entering the turn out of the front straight FI FI RUMBLE was tightened
for room, hampered and shifted outwards.
Shortly after DUDE PERFECT and SHAKEY SHEBA bumped resulting in both
runners to be hampered. Rounding the
turn out of the front straight MISTER DEBONAIR was tightened for room and
checked. Through the turn into the
back straight AURIGA RAVEN improved onto the heels of MISTER DEBONAIR
resulting in AURIGA RAVEN to be severely checked and lose considerable
ground. The greyhound
AURIGA RAVEN underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent
injuries were found. |

Rounding the turn into the front straight SPRING SHANAE was tightened
for room and checked. Shortly after
MURSLEOW shifted outwards and collided with NAUGHTY NALA resulting in both
runners to be checked. Approaching the
turn out of the front straight NAUGHTY NALA improved onto the heels of SMOOTH
CLAUDIA resulting in both runners to be checked. DIAMOND ROBYNE which was racing to their
inside was checked and shifted out wide on the turn as a consequence. Rounding the turn out of the front straight
MURSLEOW checked off heels. Entering
the back straight MUSTANG NOVA was tightened for room and checked. SINGLETON which was trailing was checked as
a consequence. Entering the turn out
of the back straight SINGLETON and SPRING SHANAE bumped resulting in both
runners to be hampered. Rounding the
turn into the front straight SPRING SHANAE checked across the heels of
SINGLETON resulting in that runner to be checked and lose ground. The
greyhound SINGLETON underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no
apparent injuries were found. |

CLINT’S
CARAVAN WAREHOUSE 5th GRADE 520M FREE SPIRIT
and STANKY LEG were best to begin. In
the front straight on the first occasion CHANCES was tightened for room and
momentarily hampered. Approaching the
turn out of the front straight all runners with the exception of GOTCHA CHA
CHA and SISSO’S JOY were tightened for room and checked to varying
degrees. Shortly after LOZZA’S TROUBLE
shifted outwards and collided heavily with CHANCES resulting in both runners
to be severely checked and lose ground.
In the back straight SISSO’S JOY was wide. Entering the turn out of the back straight
LOZZA’S TROUBLE improved onto the heels of FREE SPIRIT resulting in FREE
SPIRIT to be severely checked and LOZZA’S TROUBLE to shift out wider on the
turn. Entering the front straight
STANKY LEG shifted outwards and collided with GOTCHA CHA CHA causing that
runner to be checked. SISSO’S JOY
which was racing to their outside was checked as a consequence. In the home straight GOTCHA CHA CHA turned
its head inwards and made muzzle contact with STANKY LEG resulting in GOTCHA
CHA CHA to be checked and lose ground. Stewards
advised trainer Mr. T Zammit that the greyhound GOTCHA CHA CHA would be
charged under Rule 69 Marring, 1st offence, 28 days plus a
satisfactory stewards’ trial 520m all tracks. |

SKY RACING 3/4th GRADE 520M GAB TAR, WINGS OF PERLITA and CHEVALEIR NUIT were best to
begin with NATURAL LAD, QUINTASTIC and HARA’S STORM slowly away. Approaching the turn out of the front
straight GAB TAR commenced to give ground.
Rounding the turn out of the front straight QUINTASTIC turned its head
outwards and made muzzle contact with HARA’S STORM which resulted in both
runners to be checked and lose ground.
Rounding the turn into the front straight WINGS OF PERLITA was
tightened for room and momentarily hampered. Stewards advised trainer Mr. D Mcgrath that the greyhound
QUINTASTIC would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 2nd offence, 3
months plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 520m all tracks. Stewards questioned trainer Mr. H Rolph with regards to
the actions of GAB TAR in the front straight on the 1st
occasion. After considering all
available evidence stewards could not be comfortably satisfied that the
greyhound had offended under the rules and gave it the benefit of the doubt. |

GRADE FINAL 520M ROAD SCHOLAR, SIZEABLE, FLAPPING GUMS and TOOKA TURN were
slow to begin. Shortly after the start SIZEABLE and FLAPPING GUMS were
tightened for room and hampered. Approaching the turn out of the front
straight, FAB DOOLEY was tightened for room and checked. Entering the first
turn FLAPPING GUMS and PRECIOUS TO ME collided resulting in both runners to
be checked and forced out wide on the turn. Rounding the turn into the back
straight, TOOKA TURN was tightened for room and hampered. Entering the back
straight FAB DOOLEY was tightened for room and checked. TOOKA TURN which was
trailing was checked as a consequence. Through the turn into the front
straight TOOKA TURN collided with SIZEABLE resulting in that runner to be
checked. |

veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. ULTRA POWER and ZABDON LAMBO were slow to begin. Entering the turn out of the front straight
LOVE SHAK was tightened for room, severely checked and lost ground. ULTRA POWER, ZABDON LAMBO and GUNNA WINK which
were trailing were all checked to varying degrees as a consequence. Shortly after ZABDON LAMBO contacted the
hindquarters of GUNNA WINK resulting in that runner to be checked. |
