SORRENTO performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 520m
in a time of 30.48 and is now cleared all tracks. The greyhound
SNEAKIN’ OUT performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of
520m in a time of 30.38 and is now cleared all tracks. The greyhound NOT
LIKE TOMMY performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 520m
in a time of 30.40 and is now cleared all tracks. The greyhound WILLY
DO performed a satisfactory 6 month trial over the distance of 520m in a time
of 30.89. Stewards Trial 1 – 395m The greyhound TOKEN
TOFF performed a satisfactory 6 month trial over the distance of 331m in a
time of 19.53. The greyhound GOOD

to begin. Leaving the front straight

tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Entering the front straight DON’T SELL and
TWIN GALAXY collided. |

GARRARD’S HORSE AND
HOUDN NOVICE 520M Even start.
Shortly after the start HOOTALUNA stumbled and shifted in which
hampered the running of ELOISE.
Leaving the front straight ROCKIN’ ALL OVER was tightened for racing
room, checked and lost ground.
Approaching the turn into the back straight ROCKIN’ ALL OVER and LIL’S
ROSE collided. Entering the back
straight LIL’S ROSE shifted out which hampered the running of ROCKIN’ ALL
OVER and HOOTALUNA. Rounding the turn
out of the back straight ROCKIN’ ALL OVER was tightened for racing room,
checked and lost ground. In the back
straight HOOTALUNA turned its head in the direction of ROCKIN’ ALL OVER. Rounding the turn into the front straight
HOOTALUNA shifted out and turned its head in the direction towards ROCKIN’
ALL OVER and failed to chase the lure with due commitment. Stewards advised trainer Mr. K Bussian that the greyhound
HOOTALUNA would be charged under Rule 69 (B) Failing to Pursue with injury, 1st
offence, off side shoulder, 10 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 520m
all tracks. |

THIRTY TALKS @ STUD 5th GRADE 600M COWGIRL LUCY
and KIKEM STORMY were best to begin.
ALPHA DAENERYS was slow to begin.
Approaching the turn into the front straight on the 1st
occasion DIAMOND ROBYNE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost
ground. DIAMOND ROBYNE raced wide
round the turn into the front straight on the 1st occasion. Rounding the turn out of the front straight
IMA RUNAWAY and HURRICANE CHANCE collided resulting in both greyhounds to be
checked and lose ground. ALPHA
DAENERYS which was trailling was checked as a consequence and lost
ground. Entering the back straight
ALPHA DAENERYS improved onto the heels of HURRICANE CHANCE and was checked as
a consequence. The greyhound
ALPHA DAENERYS underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent
injuries were found. |

was tightened for racing room, shifted out and collided with SPRING SHANAE
resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground. The greyhound DUDE PERFECT underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

CLINT’S
CARAVAN WAREHOUSE 5th GRADE 520M LOCKETY BRIN was best to begin. Shortly after the start TOOKA TURN was
tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. In the front straight on the 1st
occasion TOOKA TURN and PUNCH RIGHT OUT collided resulting in PUNCH RIGHT OUT
to be checked and lose ground. Shortly
after TOOKA TURN and FAST AS collided resulting in both greyhounds to be
checked and lose ground. Approaching
the turn into the back straight TOOKA TURN and PUNCH RIGHT OUT collided
resulting in TOOKA TURN to be checked and lose ground. FAST AS which was trailing was checked as a
consequence. In the back straight MISS
MINAJ and ULTRA POWER collided on a number of occasions. Entering the back straight ONE IN SIX was
tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Rounding the turn out of the back straight
MISS MINAJ was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. ULTRA POWER commenced to give ground
rounding the turn into the front straight. The greyhound ULTRA POWER underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. When questioned over the performance of
ULTRA POWER trainer Mr. R Cooke stated that the greyhound had not had the
opportunity to trial at Albion Park prior to its previous start on 22 May
2017 where in that race it received significant interference to finish in
eighth position. He stated that the
greyhound was stepping up in distance and in his view will improve with
continued racing over the 520m. |

SKY RACING 5th GRADE 520M Even start.
Shortly after the start AVAMAY and KIKEM ZEST collided. Rounding the turn out of the front straight
TREVON’S FURY and VALKYRIE CANDY collided resulting in VALKYRIE CANDY to be
checked and lose ground. Approaching
the turn out of the back straight KIKEM ZEST was tightened for racing room,
checked and lost ground. Entering the
front straight TREVON’S FURY improved onto the heels of WINGS OF PERLITA
resulting in that greyhound to be momentarily hampered. The greyhound WINGS OF PERLITA underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

slow to begin. Approaching the turn
out of the front straight FROSTY AJAY was tightened for racing room, checked
and lost ground. Rounding the turn out
of the front straight INVAR STAR was tightened for racing room, checked and
lost ground. PAW DIDEMIS and FROSTY
AJAY which were trailing were checked as a consequence. Rounding the turn into the front straight
INVAR STAR and UNIQUE MOTIVE collided. |

3/4th GRADE 520M CHEEKY CHANCE, CAPTAIN LOUIE, MY
SPRITE and CAPTAIN TIL were best to begin.
NATURAL LAD, MOMENT TO SHINE and DON’T KNOCKA TOM were slow out. Rounding the turn out of the front straight
CAPTAIN LOUIE and MOMENT TO SHINE collided.
At the same time NATURAL LAD and DON’T KNOCKA TOM collided resulting
in DON’T KNOCKA TOM to be checked and lose ground. Leaving the back straight CHEEKY CHANCE was
tightened for racing room, checked and fell taking no further competitive
part in the race. CAPTAIN LOUIE,
MOMENT TO SHINE, NATURAL LAD and DON’T KNOCKA TOM which were trailing were
all severely checked and lost considerable ground as a result of this
incident. The greyhound CHEEKY CHANCE underwent
a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. The greyhound CAPTAIN LOUIE underwent
a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. The greyhound MY SPRITE underwent a
post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. The greyhound MOMENT TO SHINE
underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were
found. |

GRADE 520M Even start.
Shortly after the start MAURICE MINOR was tightened for racing room,
checked and lost ground. In the front
straight on the 1st occasion SISSO’S JOY and RICHMOND ROAD
bumped. Rounding the turn out of the
front straight DU HAST and RICHMOND ROAD collided resulting in RICHMOND ROAD
to be checked and fall taking no further competitive part in the race. MAURICE MINOR which was trailing was
severely checked as a result of this incident and lost considerable ground. Approaching the turn into the back straight
SPORTFAN and DU HAST bumped. The greyhound RICHMOND ROCK underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

5th GRADE 520M Even start with the exception of STATUE BRO which was
slow to begin. Approaching the turn
out of the front straight FATHER NOEL, FERAL LAD and BIG TURLS were all
tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Rounding the turn out of the front straight
CORY’S DIAMOND was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. FLASHING FERGO was checked as a result of
this incident and lost ground.
Approaching the turn out of the back straight FERAL LAD was tightened
for racing room, checked and lost ground.
Approaching the turn into the front straight CORY’S DIAMOND shifted
out which hampered the running of FERAL LAD.
Rounding the turn into the front straight FERAL LAD shifted out and
collided with CORY’S DIAMOND. The greyhound FERAL LAD underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off
side hock and was stood down for a period of 10 days. Stewards questioned Ms. K Harradence the
trainer of the greyhound in respect to the greyhound’s actions rounding the
turn into the front straight however, after considering that the greyhound
was found to have injured its off side hock it was given the benefit of the
doubt if it contravenes any rule. |
