Stewards Trial 1 – 395m

The greyhound COLLIE ROSE HI performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 395m in a time of 23.51 and is now cleared all tracks.

 

The greyhound VELOCITY LINDER performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 395m in a time of 22.99 and is now cleared all tracks.

 

The greyhound FLYING QUEEN performed a satisfactory Return to Racing trial over the distance of 395m in a time of 23.01.

 

The greyhound OUTA BUSINESS performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 395m in a time of 23.34.

 

Stewards Trial 1 –600m

The greyhound AUSSIE DIAMOND performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 600m in a time 35.61 and is now cleared all tracks except Brisbane until after 28 June 2017.

 

The greyhound MISS BECKY SAM performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 600m in a time of 35.79 and is now cleared all tracks.

 

RACE REPORTS

 

1.

ASSET BODY CORPORATE BRIBIE ISLAND MAIDEN 520M

ALISSA’S ANGEL was a late scratching by Order of Stewards at 6:40PM. This greyhound is endorsed to race with blinkers and on this occasion, the approved blinkers were not brought to the track, preventing the greyhound from racing under the provisions of GAR 36(3).

 

SMYPATHETIC and ALPHA ATLAS were best to begin.  Entering the 1st turn GUNLEE ROCKER and OCEAN GAMBLER were tightened and momentarily hampered.  In the top turn BILLY BOY checked off heels and GUNLEE ROCKER which was following was inconvenienced.  Entering the home straight GUNLEE ROCKER was tightened and became unbalanced

GARRARD’S HORSE AND HOUND NOVICE 520M

MORAYFIELD SWIFT and ROCKIN’ ALL OVER were best to begin.  In the front straight FIRST FIRE was tightened and momentarily hampered.  Approaching the 1st turn COSMIC REX collided with STAR RING and AFTER GLOW and became unbalanced.  In the 1st turn TWIN GALAXY and COSMIC REX collided forcing COSMIC REX to shift out.  Entering the back straight FIRST FIRE and COSMIC REX were checked off heels while AFTER GLOW and STAR RING collided causing AFTER GLOW to lose ground.

 

The greyhound AFTER GLOW underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound COSMIC REX underwent a post-race veterinary examination, was found to have suffered an injury to the near hind fibula, and was stood down for a period of 210days.

THIRTY TALKS @ STUD 0 – 3 WINS 600M

It was a staggered start with PORT LISA and SORRENTO slow to begin.  Entering the front straight SHAKEY START and SORRENTO collided.  Entering the bottom turn SORENTO checked off heels and hampered SHAKEY START that was following.  LIL’S ROSE raced wide in the back and home straight.

MY SPRITE was best to begin.  Shortly after the start NEYMAR MAGIC was tightened and lost ground.  In the 1st turn STILL COUNTING, GUNNA WINK and CHILLED HEAT were tightened and became unbalanced.  Entering the front straight STILL COUNTING, GUNNA WINK, CHILLED HEAT and COSMIC WANTS TOO were all tight causing GUNNA WINK to lose ground.  In the back straight NEYMAR MAGIC retired from the race.  Entering the home straight CHILLED HEAT checked off heels.  Over the concluding stages CHILLED HEAT, STILL COUNTING, COSMIS WANTS TOO and HURRICANE CHANCE all collided.

 

The greyhound NEYMAR MAGIC underwent a post-race veterinary examination, was found to have suffered an injury to the stomach muscles, and was stood down for a period of 14 days.

CLINT’S CARAVAN WAREHOUSE 4/5th GRADE 600M

WAY OF SHADOWS and THURSDAY WISH were slow to begin.  In the 1st turn KIKEM STORMY, WAY OF SHADOWS and WATCH OUT RENALD were hampered.  Shortly after, SMART MARLOW and ILLUSIONARY collided.  Approaching the bottom turn SMART MARLOW was tightened and lost ground.  In the bottom turn ILLUSIONARY checked off heels.  Entering the back straight KIKEM STORMY improved onto the heels of SMASHNIAK MARCY and both greyhounds were checked.  In the home straight WATCH OUT RENALD and ILLUSIONARY collided.

SKY RACING 5th GRADE HEAT 1 520M

CAN OF SPRITE and SHAQTIN’S A FOOL were best to begin while PAW DIDEMIS was slow.  In the front straight NASH TATO, DU HAST and CAN OF SPRITE were tightened and lost ground.  Entering the 1st turn SPORTFAN was tightened and lost ground.  Shortly after, DU HAST checked off heels.  PAW DIDEMIS that was following was inconvenienced as a result.  In the 1st turn NASH TATO and DU HAST collided and were unbalanced.  In the top turn SHAQTIN’S A FOOL and FAB DOOLEY collided on a number of occasions.

 

The greyhound SHAQTIN’S A FOOL underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY 5th GRADE HEAT 2 520M

SKITTISH EXPRESS was best to begin while ARDEN STREET and MILLION DOLLAR were slowly away.  Shortly after the start KULU RUSTY shifted out and collided with GUTENBERG and both greyhounds were hampered.  In the front straight SKITTISH EXPRESS and EDGE OF FOREVER raced tight, becoming unbalanced and losing ground.  KULU RUSTY and GUTENBERG were also hampered as a result.  Entering the top turn GUTENBERG and KULU RUSTY were checked and lost ground.  Entering the home straight HIPSTER was tightened and was forced to check off heels and lost ground as a result.

 

The greyhound HIPSTER underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

BRISGREYS.COM 5th GRADE HEAT 3 520M

NAMROD was best to begin while VISIGOTH was slow.  In the front straight COMANECI and LOVED UP collided and were unbalanced.  Entering the 1st turn HARA’S BUNDY, VISIGOTH and AUGUST FLAME raced tight.  Leaving the back straight HARA’S BUNDY was tightened and lost ground.  Entering the top turn LOVED UP improved onto the heels of STATUE BRO and both greyhounds lost ground.

BETTA BE RIGHT was best to begin.  ZINGIBER GUNTUR and TREVON’S FURY came together shortly after the start. MUSTANG NOVA was wide in the 1st turn.
