Thursday 22 June 2017 – Trainer K Mackenroth advised stewards that in the
days following this meeting the greyhound Alota Amy, which competed in race
7, had been examined and was lame in the both wrists. Ipswich Friday 23
June 2017 – Trainer K Mackenroth advised stewards that in the days following
this meeting the greyhound COSMIC REVENGE, which competed in race 8, had been
examined and was lame in the off side shoulder. |

BODY CORPORATE BRIBIE ISLAND MAIDEN 520M FROSTY BEJAY and PARTY
EVERY DAY were best to begin with LOOSE TABACCO slowly away. At the start KULU COSMO and ALPHA ATLAS
bumped resulting in KULU COSMO to be momentarily hampered. In the front straight on the first occasion
PHANTOM HOUDINI and KULU COSMO bumped resulting in both runners to be
momentarily hampered. Approaching the
turn out of the front straight GALWAY HYPERACT was tightened for racing room,
checked and shifted outwards. KULU
COSMO which was trailing shifted outwards to avoid that runner’s heels. Rounding the turn into the back straight
FROSTY BEJAY was tightened for room, checked and shifted outwards. At the same time KULU COSMO made contact
with the hindquarters of GALWAY HYPERACT resulting in both runners to be
checked and lose ground. Rounding the
turn out of the back straight EMBER FLARE was tightened for racing room and
momentarily hampered. Rounding the
turn and through the front straight LOOSE TABACCO and EMBER FLARE bumped on
several occasions resulting in both runners to be hampered and lose ground. |

GARRARD’S HORSE AND HOUND 0 – 3 WINS 600M AZTEC FLASH was marginally slow to begin. Entering the first turn SPRING SHANAE was
tightened for racing room and momentarily hampered. Rounding the turn into the front straight
on the first occasion APACHE BROOK and GOLDEN PLANET raced tight. Approaching the turn out of the front
straight HARA’S BUNDY was tightened for racing room and checked. Shortly
after GOLDEN PLANET was tightened for room and checked. HARA’S BUNDY which
was trailing checked and shift outwards to avoid that runner’s heels. At the same time FIRST FIRE collided with
APACHE BROOK resulting in both runners to be checked. Approaching the turn into the back straight
SORRENTO bumped GOLDEN PLANET resulting in that runner to be momentarily
hampered. In the back straight APACHE
BROOK raced wide. |

THIRTY TALKS @
STUD 5th GRADE 520M Even start with the exception of SPOOKIE ASSASSIN which
was marginally slow to begin and PAW DIDEMIS which was slow to begin. Shortly after the start HURRICANE CHANCE
and KLOEIS PRIDE were tightened for racing room and checked. Entering the first turn KLOEIS PRIDE was
tightened for racing room, checked and stumbled while losing ground. Rounding the turn out of the front straight
SHAQTIN’ A FOOL shifted outwards, turned its head and made muzzle contact
with THURSDAY WISH resulting in that runner to be checked and lose ground. PAW DIDEMIS which was racing to their
outside was checked and lost ground as a consequence. Entering the back straight SHAQTIN’ A FOOL
and PAW DIDEMIS bumped resulting in both runners to be hampered. Rounding the turn into the front straight
THURSDAY WISH checked off heels. At
the same time SPOOKIE ASSASSIN and LITTLE MAKRIL collided resulting in both
runners to be checked. The greyhound SHAQTIN’ A FOOL underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. Stewards advised trainer Mr. D McGrath that
the greyhound would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 2nd offence,
3 months plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 520m all tracks. The greyhound KLOEIS PRIDE underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

CLOUD and WHAT A MESS were best to begin with ALPHA CHAOS and RANGER DANGER
slowly away. Shortly after the start
ALPHA CHAOS was tightened for room and momentarily hampered. In the front straight on the first occasion
ARE JAY DUREE was tightened for racing room and checked. Approaching the turn into the back straight
KULU RUSTY was tightened for racing room, severely checked and lost
ground. Shortly after SUPERBANK eased
momentarily and lost ground. ARE JAY
DUREE which was trailing checked and shifted outwards to avoid that runner’s
heels. RANGER DANGER which was racing
to its outside was checked and lost ground as a result of this incident. Entering the turn out of the back straight
KULU RUSTY was tightened for racing room and checked. Through the turn into the front straight
ALPHA CHAOS checked off heels. The greyhound SUPERBANK
underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were
found. Stewards advised trainer Ms. S
Lawrance that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 69 (A) Failing to
Pursue, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial
520m all tracks. |

to begin. In the front straight on the
first occasion RUSTY’S IMAGE was tightened for racing room and momentarily
hampered. Entering the turn out of the
front straight JOE’S DRINKING, GELANTIPY GOLD and KINGSBRAE CHOOKY all
collided resulting in JOE’S DRINKING to be hampered, GELANTIPY GOLD to be
checked and KINGSBRAE CHOOKY to be severely checked and lose ground. Rounding the turn into the back straight
JOE’S DRINKING was tightened for racing room and checked. In the back straight RUSTY’S IMAGE was
wide. Entering the front straight
ANGELIC MISS was tightened for racing room and checked. The greyhound KINGSBRAE
CHOOKY underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries
were found. |

GRADE 520M Even start with the
exception of BIG BAD BOB which was marginally slow to begin. In the front straight on the first occasion
TREVON’S FURY, BRALYN AMY, RUN KAY RUN, MURBAH GOLD and SPLENDID STAR were
all tightened for racing room and checked to varying degrees. Entering the first turn RUN KAY RUN and
MURBAH GOLD were tightened for racing room resulting in MURBAH GOLD to be
checked and RUN KAY RUN to be checked and shift outwards. BRALYN AMY which was trailing MURBAH GOLD
was checked as a consequence.
Approaching the turn into the back straight BRALYN AMY collided with
RUN KAY RUN resulting in BRALYN AMY to be checked and lose ground. Entering the turn out of the back straight
MURBAH GOLD improved onto the heels of TREVON’S FURY resulting in both
runners to be severely checked and lose ground. |

BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHYS 5th GRADE 600M GUNNA WINK, EL CHAD and
DUSTY WAY were all marginally slow to begin.
Rounding the turn into the front straight on the first occasion STILL
COUNTING was tightened for racing room, checked and shifted outwards and
subsequently collided with EL CHAD resulting in both runners to be checked
and lose ground. DUSTY WAY which was
racing to their outside was checked and lost ground as a consequence. Entering the turn out of the front straight
WAY OF SHADOWS bumped MY SPRITE resulting in that runner to be hampered and
lose ground. Approaching the turn into
the back straight EL CHAD checked off heels.
Rounding the turn out of the back straight MY SPRITE improved onto the
heels of ABBY NORMAL resulting in both runners to be checked and lose
ground. Shortly after GUNNA WINK
checked and shifted outwards to avoid those runners heels. Rounding the turn into the front straight
CHILLED HEAT bumped WAY OF SHADOWS resulting in that runner to be momentarily
hampered. |

520M MINNIE
MARTINI, ARDEN STREET and NAMROD were best to begin. At the start HIM THE MASTER and SPRING TIME
GIRL were tightened for racing room and momentarily hampered. Entering the turn out of the front straight
SPRING TIME GIRL was tightened for racing room, severely checked and lost
ground. HIM THE MASTER which was
trailing checked and shifted outwards to avoid that runner’s heels and in
doing so collided with BRIGHT SATELLITE.
HIM THE MASTER and BRIGHT SATELLITE were forced out wide on the turn
and lost ground as a result of this incident.
Through the turn into the back straight FAB DOOLEY checked off the
heels. Entering the turn out of the
back straight SPRING TIME GIRL was tightened for racing room and
checked. Approaching the turn into the
back straight MINNIE MARTINI was tightened for racing room, severely checked
and lost considerable ground. SPRING
TIME GIRL which was trailing checked and shifted outwards to avoid that
runner’s heels. Over the concluding
stages of the event HIM THE MASTER and NAMROD collided resulting in both
runners to be hampered. |

exception of FABRICATED which was slow to begin. Approaching the turn out of the back
straight BOOM WARRIOR was tightened for racing room and momentarily

BROMAC and FABRICATED bumped resulting in CUZZY BROMAC to be momentarily
hampered. |

FB.COM/BRISGREYS.COM 5th GRADE 395M Even start with the
exception of CYCLONE BARCI and HAVANA BLACK which were marginally slow to
begin. Approaching the first turn
SMASHNIAK CLASS was tightened for racing room and checked. Shortly after CYCLONE BARCI was tightened
for racing room, severely checked and shifted outwards colliding with MR.
DEXTER which resulted in that runner to be severely checked and lose ground. HAVANA BLACK which was trailing was
severely checked and lost ground as a consequence. Rounding the turn into the back straight
SMASHNIAK CLASS was tightened for racing room and checked. Rounding the turn and through the front
straight BIG WINSTON shifted outwards and commenced to give ground. The greyhound BIG
WINSTON underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have
suffered from cramping and was stood down for a period of 10 days. Stewards advised trainer Mr. R Enright that
the greyhound would be charged under Rule 71 Unsatisfactory Performance and
must perform a satisfactory stewards’ trial 395m all tracks prior to
nominating. When questioned over the matter trainer Mr R Enright stated he
would discuss the greyhounds future racing plans with the owner with the
possibility of restricting its starts to Capalaba and northern New South
Wales race tracks. |
